In the depth of the Destitute Dragon Revine, Yang Feng sat cross-legged with his abyssal Qi surrounding him. A little distance away from him a dense miasma of condensed Demon Qi suspended, but it didn't go out from a particular area.

"*Huee*" Yang Feng let out a deep breath before he opened his eyes. "It took me a month just to refine the pure energy produced from the skeleton." He said while slowly standing up.

After approach the dense miasma, he looked at it and thought for a moment, 'Status'.

In the past month, he was able to increase his Qi Cultivation by two small realms. But after sometime he decided to focus the energy on his Body Cultivation for now.

Because of this, he was able to raise his Body from Low–Tier 5 to High–Tier 5, so now his Body alone was able to contend against a cultivator of 8th stage Immortal Ascension Realm. Meaning that he would be able to fight a full powered attack from 8th stage Immortal Ascension Realm cultivator just using his body, without his Qi.

This increase in his Body Cultivation also increased the amount of Qi his body could hold, now the amount of Qi in his body was more than an average 3rd stage Transendant Realm. He also felt as if his Soul Cultivation was on the verge of Breaking through to the Transendant Realm because of the Soul Warming Lotus and his increase in cultivation.

This was something that made his combat power increase by a large margin. Now if he used all his means, his compressed Qi, his Body and his peak immortal ascension realm Soul, coupled with his techniques he would be able to beat most of the 2nd stage Transcendant Realm partitioners with average battle strength, without any threat to his life.

As he gazed at the miasma of demonic Qi in front of him, he took a deep breath and entered it. As he reached the center of his array that concentrated the miasma, he sat down cross-legged and took out one of the Giant Enflamed Yang Stones from his inventory.

Yang Feng wanted to reach atleast the Peak Immortal Ascension Realm before the demon war started. Now he planned to use the Demonic Yin Qi and the Yang Qi from the stones to boost his Qi Cultivation to the said realm.

He didn't have any quels on the matter that he had just brokenthrought as his foundation was at it's peak, for him to care about this matter. He then operated his Qi Cultivation Scripture and began absorbing the Qi's at a really fast speed.

Yang Feng spent another 2 months to refine all the Qi and was able to increase his Qi Cultivation to the 9th stage Immortal Ascension Realm, during which his Soul Cultivation had also brokenthrough to the Transendant Realm.

During the process he had absorbed all the Demonic Yin Qi along with 2/3 of the Giant Enflamed Yang Stones, leaving him with 1/3 that he decided to keep to himself for now. He also still had many of the Evil Spirit Fruits and the Corpse of the Tier 6 Wolf.

'*Hue* with this I only have to absorb the last layer of the Foundation Rejuvenation Nirvana Pill to breakthrought to the Transendant Realm.' Yang Feng thought as he slowly stood up from his position.

'I should hold off on my breakthrough for now and focus on the other things.' After he was done with familiarizing himself with his new strength, he focused on his next objective.

From what he had calculated he still had about three-four months before the possible attack of Yang Bai on the High Heaven Pavilion. 'I still have time, my next step should be to study the space array and see if I can comprehend something from it.'

Following his thoughts, he flew towards the space array. Along the way he noticed that not only was the Demonic Qi but all the Yin Spirits were also gone. Though it made sense as the Spirits also took form because of the dense Yin Qi.

Reaching the array, he started to study the structure of the array in great detail. After that he started pushing his Qi inside it with the intention of keeping the distance of the transmission to the minimum.

As the array was absorbing his Qi, Yang Feng was noticing every minute detail of the changes in the array and the runes used in the array. It was while he was observing the runes that he got an idea.

Runes. These were the building blocks that were necessary for all types of professions and higher level cultivation realms need some basic understanding of the runes of the cultivator's dao.

'I'm shocked that it didn't occur to me before. But now that I think of it, all the techniques I gained from the mind palace have given me some basic knowledge of the runes and after studying the professions my understanding of them also grew, which subconsciously made me overlook them.'

As he continued to study the array his thoughts continued, 'but what if I push them to the heights no one has done. They will help me in many things, excluding the professions which will naturally benefit from my runes comprehension.'

After the array had absorbed half of his Qi, Yang Feng noticed slight disturbance in the space in front of it. This disturbance was more obvious to him than the last time as his knowledge of the space laws had increased the last time.

In the Martial Peak Universe, the levels of the Daos were not particularly specified. So Yang Feng had to come up with something by himself after going through different novels he had read.

One particular classification of the Dao of space he found was compatible with this universe was from 'Martial World'. From what Yang Feng inferred, the eighth stage of the Dao of space in that world; the True Space Dimension stage, was the requirement for the people in this universe to condense a Dao Seal with the Dao of Space.

But he had made some changes to the stages of the Dao of Space of this universe to better understand them.

The first stage he made was;

And so on. At the moment, Yang Feng could only come up with these three stages, with his limited comprehension of the Dao of Space. If we talk about what stage Yang Feng was on right now. He knew that he was not even on the first stage of the Dao of space, as he could not yet interact with it,just sense it. But he knew that he was close to achieving it.

Putting aside his thoughts, he saw that the slight disturbance of space slowly grew and after it reached a certain point at which Yang Feng felt that the space Infront of him distorted, a slight crack appeared in the very fabric of space in front of him.

Then that crack started to extend and gradually reach the height of 5 meters before stopping. At this point, Yang Feng suddenly felt as if the space in front of him had shifted somewhere else, just at this moment the space crack opened and formed a wormhole.

Focusing on the wormhole, Yang Feng felt that the area beyond it was connected to somewhere else. According to his calculations and observation, the area it was connected to was at a distance of a few hundred meters.

Observing the whole process had allowed Yang Feng to understand a lot about how wormholes form, but he still had questions that he knew he would be able to understand after he had completely comprehended the space array.

In a hall, an old man was was sitting on a chair with his eyes closed. 'It has been five months. I wonder what the brat is doing down there.'

This was Meng Wu Ya and he was sitting in his usual place in the sect's Treasure Hall. Five months had passed since Yang Feng had retreated in the Dissolute Dragon Revine and he had not exited even once.

He then thought of his desciple and Su Yan and about their growth in the last few months. 'honestly, it is a bit shocking seeing them breakthrough several times in just a few months in this environment.'

Since Yang Feng entered his retreat, the girls after finding out also started to cultivate giving their all, as they didn't want to be left behind in cultivation and become a burden for him.

In the last five months, both of them had broken through to the seventh stage Immortal Ascension Realm. The most terrifying thing about them was that their strength, that according to Meng Wu Ya was higher than those on the peak of Immortal Ascension Realm, but still far off from those in the Transendant Realm.

The realms above the Immortal Ascension Realm were a great leap. So it was really different to have a battle strength of those as you have to consider many aspect. But he estimated that by the time they broke through to the 9th stage Immortal Ascension Realm they would be able to fight those in the 1st stage Transendant Realm on equal grounds.

Meng Wu Ya's thoughts then again shifted to Yang Feng as he remembered that even at the 4th stage Immortal Ascension Realm his battle strength was that of 9th stage Immortal Ascension, according to what he knew.

'he said that he wanted to study the space array to increase his knowledge of arrays. But why do I think he was not telling me the whole truth.' as he continued to contemplate on the matter, he felt a presence approaching him from outside and that put a smile on his face.

"My dear desciple, have you finished your retreat?" He asked Xia Ning Chang who had just entered the hall. Hearing her master's words a smile appeared on her face as she replied, "Yes master! I just stabilized my realm at the 7th stage Immortal Ascension Realm. But I decided to stop and first get familiar with my new strength before continuing."

Listening to her, Meng Wu Ya nodded as it was good to take a break in between and stabilize yourself before continuing. "Master, did Brother Yang come back from his retreat yet?" She asked Meng Wu Ya, who sighed inwardly as he knew that she would be asking him this question.

By now it was obvious that she liked Yang Feng and wanted to stay with him. Meng Wu Ya also didn't have any problem with them being together as with their talents both of them can accompany each other to the peak.

But his Protective Father side would always awaken to keep Xia Ning Chang away from Yang Feng. Meng Wu Ya was now an old man and didn't have a child of his own, but he treated Xia Ning Chang as his own daughter and was really protective of her.

After laminating on how quickly children grow up, he answered, "no, the kid still hasn't come out."

Although a bit disappointed she nodded as she knew that it was normal for cultivators to retreat for months and even years at their level.

After talking to Meng Wu Ya for a few more minutes, Xia Ning Chang went towards Yang Feng's courtyard. After reaching it, she took out a token from her universe bag and injected it with her Qi, which allowed her to pass through the variety of arrays placed on the courtyard by Yang Feng, effortlessly.

Yang Feng had placed some arrays around his courtyard to not get disturbed during his cultivation. He also gave the key of the array, in form of tokens, to both Su Yan and Xia Ning Chang. So that the two can freely come and go.

After she entered, she found the courtyard empty. As she walked through the courtyard, she went towards his room. After looking through the plain room, she looked towards the bed in the corner.

After some thinking, she went and laid down on the bed. As she continued to lay on the bed and thinking of various things, she unknowingly fell asleep.
