Martial Arts Worlds

Chapter 210: Arrival

Accompanied by the warm falling sun, a bus carrying slightly over fifty students drove through a leaf-covered road that was surrounded by a thick forest.

At the end of the road, a metal gate stood in the way. It had strange symbols etched into its surface, with vines creeping up the sides.

The metal gate opened, as if it were automatic, and the bus drove through the narrow opening with ease.

With the bus leaving the forest road behind, they entered a mysterious realm full of lush greenery and colorful flowers.

Beyond the lush greenery, the boarding school of Gaul stood. Its stone facade was gleaming in the sunlight.

Its buildings were an impressive sight to behold. The dormitory buildings were scattered throughout the place, each one uniquely designed and full of character.

In the center of it all, stood the grand training hall. It had rooms for studying, for martial arts training, for meditation, and even had its very own Infinite Dojo installed.

It clearly took millions, if not tens of millions, to build this place.

The bus rolled over to the yard of the boarding school. They weren't alone. A few buses had already parked in the yard, and students of another school were unloading their bags while looking curiously in their direction.

"Another bus? That's not a bus from Montclair, right?"

"We won't be alone here, it seems. It must be a strong school to have been allowed to come to Gaul. This is a legendary training school, after all, and some weaklings aren't allowed to come here."

"Does anyone know who they are?"

The Montclair students talked among themselves.

The door of the bus opened, and Karuza High's students poured out, laughing and talking loudly among themselves.

When they saw Montclair students already gathered by the entrance, their laughter slowly faded. They had heard about another school being here as well, and tension began to fill the air.

Both schools weren't that friendly with each other based on the look in their eyes. They knew that they would most likely be competitors in the nationals.

"Everyone, gather up!"

Azer clapped his hands loudly, and the students slowly gathered around him.

"Who are they, principal?"

A curious-looking student asked.

"Don't care about them. Our school will be living in a different dormitory building from them and even studying in a different building from them. Just act like they are not even here."

Azer said calmly.

The students nodded briefly.

"You'll receive your keys from the dormitory's caretaker, and since the majority of Karuza High's students decided to change schools, there are enough rooms for everyone, so there won't be roommates."

The students, but a few of them looked slightly sad. A few friends of theirs changed schools. They understood about them not wanting to leave their home.

"Alright, let's start unpacking. It should be night soon, so we'll bring some late-night food over to the dormitory. The school will continue as normal starting tomorrow; is that understood by everyone?"

The students nodded, and then in excitement, headed over to their dormitory building. It had been built from red brick and had a cozy, inviting feeling that made it feel like home.

When they walked through the front door, a bright-eyed woman greeted them and handed everyone a key to their room.

She was the caretaker of the dormitory. The woman led them to their rooms, which were located on the second floor.

The male and female students lived together as there wasn't enough place for separate dormitories because there were two schools using the boarding school at the same time.

Click!

With a click, Kiernan opened the door to his room and walked inside, looking around at the small space that would be his home for the rest of the school year.

It was nice enough.

A double bed sat against the far wall, with a desk and chair underneath the window. It had a small kitchen with a refrigerator right next to it and a microwave. on the counter.

The drawers were filled with all the necessary utensils and cookware for the rest of the school year. The upper cabinets had plates, mugs, and bowls neatly organized inside.

'It's not bad, but I don't see a bathroom or shower anywhere.'

Clinking the key against his hand, Kiernan peeked outside his room door and saw all doors swung wide open, with loud noises coming from every room.

Everyone was very busy with unpacking.

He then noticed the caretaker of the dormitory struggling to carry a heavy box of cleaning supplies down the hallway.

"May I help you with that?"

Kiernan grabbed the other end of the box, and it suddenly felt as light as feathers in his hands. The caretaker also looked surprised, as she didn't need to struggle with the heavy load anymore.

"Ah, thank you!"

She thanked with a smile and pointed to the cleaning closet. They took the box there and placed it on the shelf.

"Whew!"

She wiped the sweat off her forehead and thanked Kiernan once more.

"No problem. Uhm, where is the bathroom and shower? I didn't see one in my dorm room."

"In the first floor. They are shared, so we must be putting in a schedule for everyone to use them. Since there are girls here, we cannot allow you boys to use them at the same time."

"Obviously."

Kiernan nodded, then bid farewell with the caretaker and returned back to his room. He put the sheets, blankets, and pillows on the bed and started unpacking his clothes into the dresser.

He didn't take much from Irio as he was minimalistic. However, among his clothes, there was a laptop, a notebook, and a few books.

In his backpack's front pocket, he had some chargers for his phone and laptop. In the side pocket, there were his other school supplies.

"Hmm, what's that?"

Kiernan looked at the ceiling. There was a hooked nail that looked like it was sticking out more than usual.

'I could probably hang a punching bag from there.'
