Chapter 42: Chapter 39
"Here's your Blueberry cheesecake, your chiffon cake, and ultra chocolatey mocha cake. And, some drinks for free! Please enjoy!" Yeonjun delivered the order to a table where three young girls were chatting with each other. Though Yeonjun was very focused, the girls couldn't check if everything was delivered to them as Yeonjun was giving his nice and sweet smile while putting the food on the table.
"Are you new here?" One of them asked out loud as she couldn't hide her curiosity.
"No, I'm temporarily helping my friend." Yeonjun smiled with his eyes again which made the girl's heart skip a beat.
"OOOOo…then, we won't be seeing you here that much, right?" She asked with a cute smile.
"Probably not." Yeonjun put on his business smile. He wanted to go to Soobin as soon as possible, but the girl was blocking him. And he knew how to deal with customers very well as he was a professional.
"Ah! What a bummer! I thought I'd ask for your contact info if we'd meet again! But, since we can't see each other again, why don't you leave your contact to me now?" She grinned and her friend was trying her best not to laugh.
"Sure, why not?" Saying that, Yeonjun took out his business card and gave it to the girl.
"Contact me anytime if you need something." Yeonjun gave a big smile this time and finally he left.
"Uwaaah! You really got his number in one chance!" Her friend started teasing her as she thought her friend was gonna have some good romance with the guy.
"Now it's your chance to pursue your crush." The girl who just took the card from Yeonjun, said while pointing at Soobin.
"Tsk! Don't remind me again! I got over him! He's such a boring guy!" the other girl rolled her eyes with anger. Then she looked at Soobin who was smilingly talking with Beomgyu.
"Hey! What is your relation with Yeonjun?" Beomgyu asked as if he was very eager to know.
"Uh…we're…friends?" Soobin was feeling a little awkward since he was there just to deliver the drinks.
"Really?" Beomgyu smiled naughtily since he knew more than him.
"That's a relief then! But, don't you think my boyfriend is so handsome?" Beomgyu was trying to flirt with Soobin although his dumbness couldn't let him understand.
"Oh? Yeah! Yeah! He is!" Soobin blushed all of a sudden and he couldn't say much.
"But! You're more handsome! Just my type!" Beomgyu finally looked at Soobin, bit his lips and winked at him. Soobin was flabbergasted for a while since it was totally unexpected for him.
"Eh?" He backwarded a little since it was very embarrassing for him.
"I said, let's date. You and me. How does it sound? I can be the bottom for you." Beomgyu winked at Soobin again, making his face as flirty as he could.
"Sorry! But, aren't you Yeonjun hyung's lover? How can you be so shameless?" Soobin made his eyes so big as if they were gonna pop out of his eyeholes.
"Ei? So what? Who'd take him seriously? You know, although he's handsome, his heart isn't clean at all! Or else, how could he make me his boyfriend right after you rejected him? That guy is the one who has no shame. Don't you agree?" Beomgyu was still smirking while talking in a low voice.
"How…." Soobin was astonished when he heard him. He couldn't say anything because he thought it was really true. Yeonjun just proposed to him and he rejected him a while ago. Then, did he really get over him so soon? Soobin couldn't think anymore. He sighed and seeing how he got anxious by Beomgyu's words, he suddenly felt satisfied for some reason. He grinned and felt proud.
"See? You don't trust him either! That's why I'm saying, let's date! You and me! It won't be counted as cheating." Beomgyu winked at Soobin again. Though Soobin was irritated a bit, he didn't say anything but furrowed his eyebrows.
"Who'd date whom?" An unfamiliar voice came right behind from Beomgyu. Soobin noticed him coming earlier. Since he didn't know who it was, he thought he was just a customer. But the voice and the tone sounded so familiar to Beomgyu that he recognized it as soon as he heard it and got astonished. He turned back and clearly saw Taehyun's face.
"Ummm…T-Taehyun? W-why a-are y-you here?" Beomgyu stood up and asked. He was quite nervous as he was afraid if Taehyun heard the full conversation.
"Of course I had to follow you. I didn't know you like to go around flirting this much." He replied with a harsh tone though all he was feeling disheartened.
"N-no! It's not w-what you think it is! You've got me wrong!" Beomgyu tried to smile, but the person in front of him didn't look at him.
"Then why? Why can't you see my heart? Do you think I'm a person who likes to trail around people? I think I'm being obvious. So why can't you give me a chance, but flirt around with others? Do you think I'm not worth it? Tell me clearly now. If you think I'm not capable of being with you, then I'll see myself off here right now and will never show up in front of you. So please! Gimme an honest answer. Please!" It seemed like the boy who always frowned his eyebrows in tiny matters to show how he's faded up with everything, was going to shed tears. His hands started shaking as his palm was sweating. He clenched his hands while grabbing his own shirt. He couldn't look at the boy he loves dearly anymore since he thought he must be looking really ugly because of the tears on the edge of his eyes.
"Uh! Umm…why are you being sentimental? And….and don't say it like that! I didn't mean to hurt you. Let's talk over some snacks, how does it sound?" Beomgyu grinned though he was feeling guilty. He wanted to cheer Taehyun with his smile though it wasn't helping. Both of them were so busy in their own world that they didn't notice the boy with whom Beomgyu was just flirting with, left a while ago.
Soobin couldn't understand who that guy was and what he just blurted. But, he could guess there was something wrong with the guy named Beomgyu. Is he really Yeonjun's boyfriend? Or, there's more he doesn't know? Though Soobin never showed interest in other people's personal affairs, he couldn't stop thinking about them as they were related to Yeonjun.
Soobin sighed and went to the kitchen to take a look at Yeonjun. He seemed really happy as if it was his own workplace. He was happily decorating a brownie plate with some icing and chocolate syrup. He was cutely dancing while singing and sprinkling the sauce. Soobin couldn't help but to smile at how cute he was looking.
"Um…Yeonjun hyung!" Soobin couldn't resist himself anymore and he wanted to talk with him as soon as possible.
"Oh! You're here! Look! Did I do it right?" Yeonjun showed the plate he just finished decorating as if it was his masterpiece. He looked at Soobin hoping for a positive answer. Though he did everything right, there was something missing on it and Soobin was hating to say that.
".... You….haven't put ice cream on the top yet…" Soobin tried to fake a smile.
"Eh? Ah! Right! What should I do now? I thought I'm mastering it, but it seems like I'm wrong." The gleaming face of Yeonjun disappeared in a moment as he got depressed.
"Ei! I guess it's your first time, right? I'll handle it here. So, you should go and take the orders." Soobin smiled and went to Yeonjun.
"I guess you're right!" A simple sentence from Soobin, made him cheer up again and simper.
"Ah, right! You should look out for your lover. I'm not trying to say that you should be careful as I'm in no place to make you aware. But, there is someone with him right now and I'm sure there's something going on between them. So, it'd be good if you look into it." Soobin said without taking a break as if he was some diss rapper.
"Oh! He followed us! Oh shit! I'm fucked! If he sees me, he'll definitely kill me!" Yeonjun acted as if he really snatched someone else's wife and ran away. Yeonjun tried to peek and when he took a glance and got sure it was Taehyun, he quickly came back to Soobin and acted all nervous.
"Don't say you really made him cheat on his boyfriend!" Soobin was joking with a piler face, but hearing the answer from Yeonjun, he was astounded and the ice cream fell on the plate instead of the brownie.
"You…can say so…haha…" Yeonjun made a very guilty face while searching for a place to hide.
