Malsun Protecting Soonja(Yeonbin) /(말순, 순자를 지킬거야)

Chapter 10: Chapter 10

Yeonjun rushed to the other side of the road. He didn't notice that a car was coming towards him. When he noticed, the car came too close to him. But thankfully, it wasn't at its top speed. So, the driver stopped the car forcefully and took out his head through the car's window.

"Hey! Have you lost your ears as well as your eyes? I kept honking!" He shouted with irritation.

"Ah! I'm sorry!" Yeonjun had no choice but to stop and get shouted at.

"Sorry my ass! If you want to die then go die under someone else's car!" He shouted again and went inside. Yeonjun apologized again and finally, he could untangle the situation. But when he looked back at the store, the boy was long gone. Yeonjun got disappointed again but still he went to the store in case the boy was still inside. He searched for him here and there. He went to the counter where a girl was working as a cashier. She noticed Yeonjun entering earlier and noticed that he gave off a rich vibe. She thought he was there to look for some expensive products. So, she asked,

"Sir, how can I help you?"

"Um…..Oh!...Did you see a boy…um…he was taller than me….and, um…thinner than me, Did you see? He was here just two minutes ago!" Yeonjun asked curiously, widening his eyes as big as balls. His eyes got wider than before because he was seeking an affirmative answer. But unfortunately, he didn't get any answers from the girl.

"Uh! I'm sorry but I don't know who you're talking about!" The girl bowed to say sorry.

"He was here just a while ago! I think he was buying something!" Yeonjun raised his voice a little because he was frustrated.

"I'm sorry, sir! But do you need anything other than this?" the girl said with a gentle voice.

"Huh! Forget it!" Yeonjun sighed and looked outside. He hoped he could see the boy outside because it hadn't been too long since he saw him. But he lost him again. Though he didn't see the boy's face this time, Yeonjun was very sure that it was him by just taking a glance at the boy's back.

"Huh!" Yeonjun sighed again. He looked just like a disappointed puppy whose ear was drooped because of his sorrowness. He bought a bottle of water from the store and came outside.

[The next morning]

"Why did you call me so early?" Yeonjun just woke up hearing the ringtone of his phone and received it.

"Jhagiya! Are you sleeping yet?" Wooyoung asked from the other side of the phone.

[Note: Jhagiya means darling in Korean]

"Um, why?" Yeonjun replied with his sleepy voice. If it was another time, Yeonjun also called Wooyoung darling but after what happened last night, he wasn't confident enough to flirt back.

"Can you buy me a coffee?" Wooyoung asked with his sweet voice.

"Why? Don't you have money?" Yeonjun acted savage all of a sudden because he was still sleepy and didn't want to go outside yet.

"Hey! C'mon! I promise, it'll be the last time we are meeting, okay?" Wooyoung insisted and there was nothing Yeonjun could do but to agree with him.

"Fine! Tell me where I should come?" Yeonjun asked and he was completely awake by then. After they hung up their call, Yeonjun saw Wooyoung sent him an address. It was an address of a bakery. Yeonjun was a little irritated by the fact that he's going to meet that person again. Though he didn't hate him, he didn't want to be in an awkward situation again. He stood up and went to freshen himself up.

The bakery wasn't very big but it wasn't that small. There was enough space to have a small party inside the bakery. It was decorated quite decently. There were more than ten to twelve tables spread out for the customers' use. The counter was a little far from the tables. Wooyoung was sitting in the corner's one. He was looking at the menu while taking a sip from the glass of water which was provided by the bakery. After some time, he looked outside and saw Yeonjun was coming over. He was looking at his phone. He was wearing a hoodie and his hair was covered with the cap of the hoodie. But still, he looked stunning.

Wooyoung put down the menu on the table and smiled after he saw Yeonjun.

"Hey, What's up?" Yeonjun noticed Wooyoung from outside and he directly came to him.

"Great as always!" Wooyoung smiled and both of them shook their hand while hugging each other gently as if nothing happened between them. Both of them then took their seats and the atmosphere became a little awkward between them because none of them were talking.

"Um…choose something to order." Wooyoung said and put his eyes back on the menu.

"You are the one drinking! So, shouldn't you have already chosen by now?" Yeonjun got quite hyped up since he wanted to tuck in the blanket rather than coming outside.

"Hehe, sorry! I was being picky." Wooyoung laughed cutely.

"Aish! Just pick something already!" Yeonjun gave a side eye though he was smiling.

"But why did you want to meet me?" Yeonjun asked while looking for a waiter.

"Uh! How should I say….um….that cause…." He was hesitating a bit to say whatever he was going to say.

"Do you think I got a lot of time on my hands? I need to go back! My subordinates are calling me to ask when I'd be back. So, hurry up and speak already!" Yeonjun said, acting irritated.

"Jhagiya! Do you hate me that much? You know, you're being so rude!" Wooyoung pouted as he was sulking.

"Okay okay, stop being dramatic! Seriously!" Yeonjun leaned on the chair and called a waiter.

"You know….I….am…. sorry. Uh…I shouldn't act impulsively yesterday." Wooyoung started scratching his head while saying. Yeonjun understood why he was acting like this. He was from a Chaebol family and there wasn't anything he couldn't get if he wanted. And the fact was he never felt sorry for his own actions. Even if he felt sorry, he would be too embarrassed to say sorry.

Yeonjun smiled gently because he knew how much Wooyoung thought about the last night that he willingly came by himself just to say sorry.

"I know right! And I prefer your mom more than you, Jhagiya!" Yeonjun winked at Wooyoung and said.

"Don't you dare!" Wooyoung showed his fist as if he was going to hit Yeonjun.

"I told you without thinking anything because I wanted to get rid of someone. I thought it'd be best to get back with you but after I gave it a thought, none of us have feelings for each other anymore. So, without love, how can a relationship last? Moreover, I was being selfish. A guy was chasing after me and I wanted to show him that I already have a boyfriend." Wooyoung wanted to say more but Yeonjun stopped him.

"Wait! You're saying a guy is chasing after you?" Yeonjun seemed quite surprised.

"Why are you so surprised? Can't someone like me?" He acted angry as if he was going to hit Yeonjun again.

"No, I mean, girls are the ones who chase after you so I didn't expect it." Yeonjun smiled at Wooyoung but it was clear that he was teasing Wooyoung.

"Yeah! I know it's unexpected but that guy is being such a pain in my ass these days!" Wooyoung facepalm himself and looked quite embarrassed.

"So, you're saying, you proposed me yesterday because of him?" Yeonjun was flabbergasted by the fact.

"Hm." Wooyoung nodded his head without looking at him.

"C'mon man! How can you do that! You could've hurt my feelings!" Yeonjun seemed a little disappointed but acted angry.

"And that's why I'm sorry. But, I don't wanna lose you. You're my dearest friend before my ex. So, can we please stay like this forever? I mean, as dearest friends. Can't we?" Wooyoung looked at Yeonjun at last, hoping his answer would be affirmative.
