The Empire’s central galaxy is abuzz these days, with the retrieval of the stray male zergs from Earth and the bloodline test results surpassing public expectations.
Empire females eagerly seized the opportunity to encounter the male zergs, contemplating various ways to establish relationships with them.
Meanwhile, another incident instantly rocked the entire Empire. The news was first disseminated through the starnet, prompting a half-hour work suspension across the Empire.
Females who caught wind of the news set aside their tasks, while others were quickly informed by curious onlookers about the whole affair.
“Hey, is this true?”
“It should be, it was posted by the official account of the Imperial Starry Night Legion.”
“I never expected Major General Rhys to act so swiftly. I guess I’ll have to be Lord He Qin’s servant or slave from now on.”
“Sounds like you think you can catch Lord He Qin’s eye.”
“But seriously, the Major General seems to have escaped a bad situation this time. I hear the Qi family hasn’t been treating him well.”
“Don’t speak too soon, who knows if this is gping from one ordeal to another?”
“I’m so happy for him, so envious…”
Among these females, some were genuinely happy for Major General Rhys, offering blessings, while others couldn’t resist speculating and questioning, whether about Earth or the male zerg.
“Major General Rhys, I’ve replaced your guardian zerg with Lord He Qin. From now on, everything you possess belongs to Lord He Qin.” The female notary handed two light-brain bracelets to the seated male zerg.
Concerned that the night might drag on and give the Qi family an opportunity to strike, Rhys took leave from the military early in the morning to accompany He Qin to the marriage notary office.
The male zerg obediently followed the directions of the working zerg and reviewed his current family relations. Under the family head’s main list – He Qin – was the column for the female lord – Rhys.
Seeing this significant piece of information, He Qin frowned deeply. Had he really entered into a marriage within a week of arriving on this strange star?
It wasn’t regret that he felt, but rather a sudden realization that there were no peaceful separations or divorces in zerg society.
If the male zerg dissolved his marriage with the female zerg, then the female zerg must have gone too far and angered the male zerg.
And who knew if another male zerg would accommodate a divorced female zerg again? Such a female zerg would be unlikely to find employment in zerg society.
In essence, once a female zerg was divorced here, he was also stripped of the right to survive in the zerg race.
This was tantamount to a death sentence, and far more brutal than dying on the battlefield.
“Lord Male, do you have any further questions? I’ve thoroughly studied this area of marriage law, so feel free to ask me when you return home.”
When Major General Rhys received the light-brain, he performed the same action as the male zerg, checking his personal information list.
Seeing that his name was no longer under the Qi family’s name but now belonged to his beloved male zerg, he could barely contain his excitement, fluttering the wings tucked away on his back.
“Ah, it’s nothing. Let’s head back first,” He Qin said with a polite smile as he led Rhys away from the marriage notary.
“A male lord?” He Qin mused silently, finding the title surprisingly agreeable.
“Major General, please take good care of Lord He Qin,” the notary’s female zerg said tearfully, watching their retreating figures.
These words reached the Major General’s ears, who replied nonchalantly, “No need to worry.” His ears flushed red, and he muttered something under his breath.
“Feeling hungry? Lunch is ready.” Thinly sliced green meat, red and purple leaves and flowers—a lunch with distinct characteristics of the Higher zergs—was laid out on the table, kept warm on thermatic plates.
Today was a significant day for Rhys, and Ivan had risen early despite his battered body, struggling out of bed—a strenuous but necessary effort.
After seeing off the young male zerg and attending to his own children, Ivan focused on preparing a hearty lunch for the male.
At just twenty years old, these young male zergs were still growing; how could they be allowed to eat meals ordered from outside?
“Female Father, did you cook?” Rhys hadn’t tasted his father’s cooking in a long time, remembering him as a skilled cook—certainly better than the Qi family’s female lord.
However, ever since his male father praised his cooking when he was young, the family kitchen no longer allowed their presence.
During his infancy, the body required ample energy, sometimes getting hungry shortly after dinner. Yet, his female father wasn’t allowed in the kitchen due to jealousy, often leaving little Rhys to starve until he fell asleep and woke up again.
“Come, taste my cooking.” The female zerg, whose facial wounds hadn’t fully healed, still expressed exclusive tenderness towards the two children, especially the young male who had lost his family since childhood.
Of course, He Qin had to appreciate the lunch prepared by his ‘father-in-law’, though he seemed to treat him even better than his own children.
“Try this, it’s good for you.”
“Try this dish, it’s a unique vegetable of the zerg race.”
Throughout the meal, Rhys obediently ate with his mouth shut, while Ivan kept introducing dishes to the young male zerg and recommending highly nutritious vegetables.
He Qin didn’t decline the elders’ kindness, though he found some of the vegetables peculiar-looking. Nonetheless, he dutifully finished every dish on the table.
At that moment, He Qin’s habit of not wasting food, honed over years in the military, shone through.
The entire empire probably couldn’t find a male zerg with such a good appetite as He Qin’s.
“You go to the entertainment room and relax; Rhys and I will handle things here,” Ivan said, wiping the utensils stained with the male zerg’s hands, sweating profusely.
Originally, He Qin had thought that since he hadn’t cooked, he should take care of the lunch utensils himself after finishing the meal, and he voluntarily entered the kitchen.
The female zergs reacted strongly, with Rhys instantly rushing to the kitchen door to stop He Qin’s actions.
Could it be that he had violated some zerg race regulation again? Surely not just by washing dishes?
But in the zerg race, this matter was indeed serious. Similar to the ancient Earth civilization’s concept of noblemen staying away from the kitchen, male zergs were presumed not to need to be near the kitchen.
As a respected head of the family, if a male zerg entered the kitchen to provide for himself while having female zergs at home, his female lord or female servants would be punished by the relevant association for neglecting the male zerg.
This association, somewhat like a male zerg association, was organized and controlled by male zergs.
Initially, the purpose of this association’s establishment was to gather all outstanding male zergs of the empire, providing them with an opportunity to socialize with their kind.
Later, as more male zergs joined and became indulged at home, they began discussing how to make their female lord, female servants, and female slaves more obedient, exchanging experiences in this regard.
Excellent male zergs didn’t have enough time in their careers, so naturally, they wouldn’t join such a boring group. As birds of a feather flock together, this male zerg association mostly consisted of cruel and violent male zergs.
In recent years, the respected and noble male zergs in this association have gradually aged, and the thoughts of young male zergs have started to dominate.
They began conducting various transactions through this association, including exchanging tips on how to handle home mistakes made by female zergs or casually finding reasons to swap out female zergs they were tired of playing with.
Recently, this male zerg association has been obsessed with discovering what they consider ‘misbehaving’ female zergs throughout the galaxy, punishing them in their own ways.
Even if He Qin didn’t have malicious intentions, there’s no telling whether those male zergs with ill intentions might inadvertently learn of He Qin’s news of entering the kitchen to wash dishes on the first day of his marriage, causing huge trouble for Rhys.
“Rhys,” the female zerg placed the last bowl into the machine and joyfully initiated a conversation with Rhys beside.
“Female Father?” Rhys was earnestly learning household chores in the kitchen with his female father, and upon hearing his female father’s call, he paused in examining kitchen utensils.
Actually, zerg race technology is already quite advanced; their so-called dishwashing is simply placing utensils into an automatic dishwasher. After pressing a button, the utensils automatically clean themselves and are transferred back to their designated place via a dedicated track.
Ivan intentionally sent the young male zerg to the well-soundproofed entertainment room.
And the purpose of this? Of course, it was for the momentous event tonight, the lifelong union of the young male zerg and Rhys.
“Cough, cough, are you ready for tonight?” Generally, female zergs and male zergs first get engaged, then undergo teachings from the family elders on female lord matters, and finally qualify to move in together with the male zerg.
After all, Rhys was considerably older than He Qin, so in such matters, it was better to have guidance from someone older.
“Female Father, don’t worry, I will do my best to make the male lord… comfortable,” the two female zergs discussed matters of bed|chamber as if discussing how to cook a delicious meal.
Rhys also tried to keep his tone calm, so as to appear more at ease with such matters, but he couldn’t hide his inner nervousness from his female father who had raised him.
In fact, since developing an interest in the young male zerg, Rhys had secretly studied the rules regarding female zergs.
For zergs whosee reproductive rate was paramount, teachings about such matters started when female zergs were young. But by the time Rhys was studying at school, he had already entered the military camp.
After so many years, the points of knowledge in his memory had faded, and all the cramming was just talking on paper. Rhys still couldn’t help but feel nervous about what would happen tonight.
As night fell, General Rhys, who had been absent all afternoon, still hadn’t returned. He Qin worriedly asked the elder female zerg at home, but after a roundabout conversation, he was sent back to the second floor master bedroom.
He Qin had a strange feeling that the female father’s eyes were silently blessing him for something.
In his thoughts, He Qin unknowingly walked into the bedroom. His hand had just touched the switch beside the door when a familiar voice stopped his movement, “Male lord, could… could you please not turn on the lights?”
It turned out that the Major General who had been missing all afternoon was in his bedroom. However, why would the Major General be in his bedroom? Could it be that he had made a mistake?
“Rhys, is there anything uncomfortable?” He Qin could sense the fear and nervousness in the Major General’s words. Without much thought, he walked over to the bedside.
Fortunately, He Qin didn’t like to put extra furniture in his room; otherwise, for a male zerg like him who couldn’t see in the dark, he would probably stumble and end up with bruises all over his face on this walk.
As he approached, illuminated by the faint light of the bedside night lamp, He Qin could see the Major General clearly and was at a loss for words, standing still in place.
Major General Rhys was wearing a black and gold-trimmed slim robe, with beautiful silver hair spread over the robe. That silver hair seemed to absorb light, making the Major General the brightest presence in the darkness.
The clothing highlighted the Major General’s honey-colored skin, which was normally exposed to the sun in the battlefield, making it even more enticing. At this moment, the heroic figure who usually commanded troops on the battlefield was sitting on He Qin’s bed, gently raising his eyes to look at him, causing a profound sense of satisfaction to well up in He Qin’s heart.
Just as they looked at each other, locked in a stalemate, the Major General suddenly reached out and grabbed He Qin’s clothes, forcefully pulling the young male zerg onto the bed.
He Qin seriously doubted whether the General was also using combat techniques.
The Major General’s initiative alleviated much of the male zerg’s initial awkwardness. After all, as a vigorous young man, how could he resist being treated like this by his lawful female lord?
Feeling the male zerg’s enthusiastic response, Rhys once again felt grateful to his female father in his heart, thankful for his foresight in hastily cramming.
