LUCKY REINCARNATION: REINCARNATED WITH A HAREM SYSTEM

Chapter 64: Clash

Four ranked beasts and four martial artists stared at each other, neither side made a move for a while.

Feifei wore a serious expression on her face as she stared at the huge owl. The levels of beasts were similar to that of martial artists, but it was widely known that beasts were slightly stronger than martial artists at the same level because their bodies were naturally stronger than humans.

The only advantage that humans had over them was their skills and ability to use external aids such as weapons and formations. Another thing about ranked beasts was that they had developed intelligence; unlike ordinary savage beasts, ranked beasts were able to think, although their intelligence was similar to that of little children.

Feeling the auras of the beasts, they were able to tell that the owl was at level 3 while the rest were all at level 2.

"Flying beasts are already difficult to deal with, this one just had to be a ranked beast," Feifei said with a grave tone as she gazed at the owl.

" I'll handle the bird, three of you deal with the others," Feifei said before suddenly dashing forward.

Screeee!!

The huge bird let out an ear-piercing screech and flapped its wings at a fast speed, generating a strong gust of wind that blew across the place before shooting toward Feifei like an arrow.

It opened its sharp maw that was filled with inches-long teeth as it dove at Feifei; the latter hardened her expression and slashed her sword at the incoming bird.

Clang!!

Her sword clashed with the face of the bird with a loud sound, it was as if he had struck a moving carriage. Her hands trembled slightly, and she almost lost her grip on her sword as she was sent flying back; the speed of the beast was too fast!

The beast let out a loud bird cry as it was pushed back a bit after clashing with Feifei, its red eyes gleamed in the darkness of the night as she shot toward Feifei's figure again.

Feifei quickly retreated, she jumped and landed in a tree branch several meters away.

BOOM!

Immediately after she jumped away, the bird appeared like a phantom in her previous location and its sharp talons stabbed into the tree behind her. Its head turned and looked at Feifei up on the tree branch; it was about to attack again when it suddenly saw Feifei slash down with her sword and send a wave of Shi toward it.

The beast tried to dodge, but the Shi sword wave managed to graze the side of its left wing, leaving a long, shallow cut in it.

Blood flowed out, and the bird let out a furious screech; it immediately shot into the air and attacked Feifei.

She moved instantly but just after her feet left the branch, the bird's body crashed into the tree branch and caused it to explode into splinters. Pieces of wood flew everywhere, and some shot toward Feifei; Feifei was sent flying by the shockwave, and her back slammed into a tree that was a few meters away.

Feifei gritted her teeth and resisted the pain in her back; she jumped back to her feet and quickly dashed into the forest with the bird following behind her; it was like a monster that had been blinded by rage, and it chased after her relentlessly.

While Feifei clashed with the huge bird. Leon, Wanxu, and Linxu clashed with the other three ranked beasts.

Each of them had moved their fights dozens of meters away from each other and now had multiple trees blocking them, they could no longer see each other and could only hear the sounds of their fighting.

Leon's opponent was the twelve-meter-long snake!

The body of the snake seemed to be covered in brown scales that were as hard as rock, and it had tiny horns on its snort; its sharp eyes had hard scales covering them.

BOOM!

Leon hastily jumped to the side; a snake tail suddenly appeared out of nowhere and slammed into the ground where Leon was standing just a moment ago.

He turned around and slashed at the tail with his sword but was forced to twist his body and change the direction of his slash to the side.

Clang!

The head of the snake appeared, and its fangs clashed with the blade of Leon's sword; Leon used the opportunity to throw himself backward. He quickly made distance between himself and the snake, creating a gap of fifteen meters between them with dozens of trees scattered between them.

Leon clicked his tongue as he glared at the snake. The beast looked scary under the moonlight, and Leon was already tempted to run away.

Its agility was too much for him to land a clear hit, this snake was too good at attacking with its tail and head!

"Just one hit, if I can only land one hit" Leon grumbled as his fingers tightened around his sword hilt. He was already prepared to use Qi to attack the snake, but it was proving very difficult to land an attack, especially with all the trees around; he felt like he was in the snake's domain.

Swoosh!

The snake shot forward at this moment, it slithered through the side of the trees and moved in a confusing pattern as it rushed toward him, its eyes gleaming softly.

Leon drove his Shi through his meridians before directing it to his legs; he waited for a few seconds for the snake to get close before dashing to the side with speed and leaving an afterimage in his previous location.

The snake shot forward like an arrow and attacked with its head and maw wide open, its mouth passed through the afterimage of Leon and smashed into the tree behind it.

A part of the tree was instantly blasted off and splinters flew everywhere as the fangs of the snake sank into the tree.

Chump!

It closed its maw forcefully and ripped off another chunk of the tree before turning to face Leon.

Leon was about to attack again but was forced to jump to another location because of the tail of the snake.

"Damnit, I'll have to stop running if I want to land a clear hit," Leon mumbled to himself as he kept moving around the place and dodging the attacks of the snake.

At this moment, an idea suddenly appeared in Leon's mind. His gaze scanned the place, and he quickly found his target under the dim light of the moon; it was the tree that the snake had almost bitten in half.

He immediately moved toward it, and the snake was right behind him; Leon readied his sword as he got closer.

Immediately after getting as close as five meters, he suddenly slashed forward before jumping into the air.

Wooosh!

The sword wave shot toward the tree and immediately slashed it in half. Meanwhile, the snake raised its head and tried to bite Leon as its body moved under him but the latter had jumped very high.

Just when the snake wanted to turn around and go after Leon, a loud cracking sound rang out and the tree that Leon had cut in half fell over.

Bang!
