Leon suddenly stopped just after passing the door and turned to look at the people from the Chen family, causing them to flinch. They all gulped nervously and sweats appeared on their faces.
"W-what is it Senior?" One of the guards asked in a trembling voice.
"I forgot something, all of you slap your young master five times each. I'm in a good mood, so I won't kill you if you satisfy me," Leon said casually.
The eyes of the young master of the Chen family widened in horror when he heard this, he wanted to escape but was quickly tackled down by his own guards.
"What are you doing? My father will kill you if you touch me!" The young man screamed in panic as he tried to struggle free, but it was pointless under the weight of many full-grown men.
"We're sorry, Young master. I'm sure the master will understand"
For a while, sounds of slapping accompanied by painful screams filled the place and made one's skin tingle.
After a few minutes, the sounds stopped and only the sobbing of a single person could be heard.
Leon looked at the face of the young master, which was now swollen and unrecognizable; he nodded in satisfaction and left without saying anything else.
"Let's go gather information elsewhere" Leon mumbled to himself as he walked further into the town.
Time passed quickly, and night soon arrived; the huge full moon hung high above Broken Sword Town, and tiny stars decorated the black sky.
The light of the moon was so bright that it allowed one to see as if it was almost day.
The streets of the town felt lonely and silent as few people could be seen patrolling from time to time, most of the houses were dark; it was as if no one lived in them.
In a certain inn, Rongyu, Wanxu, Linxu, Muging, Yue, Feifei, and Leon sat around a circular wooden table on short stools as they discussed their findings during the day.
"The beasts will either attack this night or the next if nothing changes and the bandits will appear soon, some of the top families of the town have sent troops to assist so we don't have to handle the ordinary savage beasts personally and can leave them to the soldiers and private troops from the various families. "Time to get payment for my pill" Leon laughed before jumping down and running toward the open window.
He didn't go to knock on her door as that would be stupid and wake up the others; he also didn't stay in his human form because his cat form was more convenient for sneaking around, and no one would suspect a cat if he got caught before he could sneak in.
Leon reached Muging's window and jumped on it, he glanced inside and only saw her robe and underwear on the bed. He could hear the sounds of running water from the bathroom.
She was taking her bath!
