Luckiest Noob get the Beta Game and get rich

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Wait… I Didn’t Log Out?

"Time to log out."

I climbed the creaky wooden stairs to my rented room. It was small but decent—a simple bed, a wooden table, and a window overlooking the dimly lit village.

"Alright, let's see if sleeping works like normal."

In most full-dive VR games, logging out was instant—you opened a menu, selected "Log Out," and boom, back to reality.

But I was curious.

Would sleeping in this beta version work the same way?

I lay down on the slightly lumpy bed and closed my eyes.

Then, darkness.

___

"…Why am I still here?"

My eyes fluttered open.

I expected to see my bedroom. My PC. My headset.

Instead…

I was still in the inn.

The same wooden ceiling. The same dim lantern flickering on the wall. The same slightly uncomfortable bed.

For a second, I just lay there, confused.

"Wait… didn't I log out?"

I clearly remembered going to sleep, expecting to return to the real world. That was how full-dive games worked—sleeping should force a logout.

But instead of waking up in reality… I was still here.

I sat up.

Strangely, I felt completely rested—no soreness, no fatigue, no grogginess. My stamina bar in the status window was back to full.

> [Stamina: 100/100] (Fatigue: None)

That was normal.

What wasn't normal was that I still felt rested in real life, even though I hadn't logged out.

"…Is this some kind of beta feature?"

I quickly pulled up the system menu.

> [Log Out]

It was still there. Still clickable.

I hesitated.

Something was definitely off. But before I could panic, I decided to test it properly.

I took a deep breath.

Then, I pressed Log Out.

---

"Okay… That Worked. But…"

A familiar black screen flashed in my vision. My body felt weightless for a second.

Then, the next moment—

I was back in my real-world bed.

I blinked.

My room looked exactly the same as I left it.

But something was off.

I didn't feel like I had just logged out of a game.

I felt like I had just woken up from a real sleep.

I sat up and checked the time.

Eight hours had passed. Exactly the amount of time I had "slept" in the game.

My body felt refreshed, like I'd actually gotten a full night's rest.

My mind felt completely awake.

I swallowed hard.

"Okay… that's weird."

Full-dive games didn't work like this. When you logged out, it was instant—you didn't feel time pass.

But I had.

It was like… I had actually slept inside the game.

I flexed my fingers. No stiffness. No lingering exhaustion.

It was as if my real body had slept while I was inside the game.

"…Just what kind of beta version is this?"

---

"No Info Online?"

My hands flew to my keyboard.

I needed answers.

I started searching:

[TWO Game Beta – Sleep Feature?]

[TWO VR Sleep Mechanics?]

[Full-Dive Sleep Simulation?]

Nothing.

No articles. No player discussions. No patch notes mentioning anything about sleep mechanics.

It was like this feature didn't exist.

"…No way. Someone would've noticed this, right?"

I kept scrolling. Checked gaming forums, developer blogs, even leaks.

Still, nothing.

Either I was the only person experiencing this—or someone was deliberately keeping it hidden.

A chill ran down my spine.

What kind of beta was this?

---

"Do I Report This… or Use It?"

I sat back, tapping my fingers on my desk.

This wasn't normal.

If this game could simulate real sleep, then—

…Wait.

If I could rest inside the game and wake up fully refreshed in real life…

Then that meant I could play non-stop without ever getting tired.

That was a huge advantage.

Farming? Grinding? Leveling up? Endless hours of playtime without exhaustion.

That meant I could—

I stopped myself.

Was this dangerous?

Was there some hidden side effect I wasn't aware of?

I exhaled.

"Okay. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I need to test this more."

I glanced at my headset.

Then back at the Log Out button still lingering in my mind.

There was only one way to find out how deep this went.

I put my headset back on.

Time to dive back in.
