Chapter 4: A heiress duty
Lorina since she was a child , trained to be a perfect Duchess so she never really had any thoughts other than that. But now it's all in the past , Lorina moved on so she wanted to do something in her life that's not concerned about Karson.
After a week Lorina went to the count's office. ' Father, I want you to make me your heir of house Marshal ' lorina told it with a great passion. The count was dumbfounded he thought what to do to cheerup his daughter but she came to him first to say she wanted to be the heiress with such a enthusiasm. ' Are you sure, Lorina ?, Can you take the responsibility for you just said?!' the count asked with a serious face. The count was happy that his daughter is moving on but he didn't want her to regret her decision. Lorina looked at the count's eyes straight and told ' Yes, count Marshal ', this time the count could see the fire in her eyes she really wanted to be the heiress, he was delighted but still maintained a poker face.
Lorina started her heiress study but it was not that hard as she was trained to be a perfect Duchess it was nothing when compared to it.
Lorina took only a few months for her heiress study as she was an exceptional with knowledge. She started investing in some small business and made gradually improvement in raising the wealth of house Marshal. Lorina slowly started to forget karson as she immersed herself in heiress duty.
But suddenly an unexpected invitation came to the count Marshal's house. It was from the Dukedom asking for the count and lorina to attend a tea party with the Duke himself. The count and Duke were childhood friends but after the engagement was called off the count stopped going to the Duke and the Duke also stopped contacting the count. So the arrival of this Letter made the count anxious as he doesn't want anything to hurt his lovely daughter anymore.
