Lord of the Time: I Can Reincarnate Infinitely

Chapter 372: 372: Saint VS Transcendent

In a fluid motion, Caleb decided to take the initiative to attack. Although he knew that the Omega reflex that his grandfather mastered was hard to deal with. He doesn't intend to give up that fast.

He wants to see how he would fare well against his grandfather. How far can he go fighting a synth-film genetic warrior?

With that, Caleb's footsteps turned into cloudy movements as his silhouette began to blur. In just a few seconds, Caleb accelerated without making a sound. His movement was as noiseless as a fly. He was comparable to top assassins.

"Nice footwork you have there, Adam. Is that self-made or did you learn it from somewhere?? Jeff questioned as he began to tilt his head to the side, perfectly dodging the kick that Caleb threw just now.

Seeing that he missed, Caleb retracted his foot and instead threw a roundhouse kick. His feet rose to the air in an arc and its trajectory changed and it was about to hit Jeff's head. "Your footwork seems to have a focus in burst and it doesn't also produce sound. Great footwork for ambush and retreat but that's it." Jeff raised his fingers and blocked the roundhouse kick instead of dodging it like before.

Caleb tried to exert force on his foot but his grandfather's fingers would not budge.

Slowly, Caleb infused 30% of his genetic energy into his foot and it managed to make Jeff's fingers tremble for a moment before it stabilizes again.

Suddenly, Jeff disappeared from his previous position and appeared behind Caleb. Realizing something, Caleb felt a cold chill in his back. He felt danger that was similar to how he felt when he was in front of death. "Not good!" Caleb used his cloud steps to widen the distance instantaneously. Akin to a cloud, Caleb floated in the air and accelerated again without making any noise.

BOOM!

The previous position where he was standing exploded. Jeff smiled as he saw his grandson's nervous expression. He looked at his palm which had produced a cloud of smoke and at the deep fissure that was a thousand meters deep. One could even make a deep well out of it.

"Well, your movement technique is really not that bad. It can dodge 3% of my speed. Really impressive."

'Just 3%?'

Caleb, on the other hand, couldn't help but sigh as stared at the casual slap that his grandfather did.

He knew that his grandfather might not have used 0.1% of his strength or else the entire island would have been submerged by now. 'The movement speed that I used is named Cloud Steps and you are right. It does incorporate explosiveness and silence."

'Even when using Cloud Step, I can't catch up to him. I can't even hit him. Just how fast does he move? Or is it because of his Omega Reflex?'

'His body moves before I could even attack. This Omega Reflex is such a cheat.'

Caleb could not help but feel envious. If he had such a technique, the chances of him dying would become lower. His survival rate in other worlds would increase tremendously.

As the spar intensified, Caleb's skeletal wings sprang forth from his back, their razor-sharp edges gleaming in the sunlight. With a powerful flap, he launched himself into the air, using the wings both for offense and defense as he sought to gain the upper hand against his formidable opponent.

Meanwhile, Jeff remained unfazed by Caleb's aerial assault, his movements calculated and precise. With a mere flick of his finger, he sent Caleb hurtling through the air, the force of the blow sending shockwaves rippling through his body.

Caleb's vision blurred as he soared through the sky, the wind rushing past him in a dizzying whirl. With a sickening thud, he crashed to the ground below, his body skidding across the earth with bone-jarring force.

As Caleb struggled to rise to his feet, he felt a warm trickle of blood coursing down his chin, the metallic tang filling his mouth. With each labored breath, he could feel his strength waning, his limbs heavy and sluggish with exhaustion.

Jeff watched impassively from his vantage point, his expression unreadable as he assessed his grandson's condition. With a resigned sigh, he shook his head in disappointment, his voice tinged with regret.

"You still have much to learn, Adam," he said, his tone gentle yet firm. "Strength alone is not enough to defeat an opponent. You must learn to master your abilities, to wield them with precision and control."

Caleb nodded weakly, his gaze fixed on the ground as he struggled to catch his breath. Despite his injuries, he knew that he couldn't afford to give up. With Jeff's guidance, he would continue to push himself to the limit, determined to become stronger with each passing day.

With a final clap of his hands, Jeff dispelled Caleb's domain, the purple surroundings crumbling like shattered glass as the environment returned to its normal state. As the last traces of Caleb's power faded away, he felt a sense of loss wash over him, a reminder of the gap that still remained between himself and his grandfather.

But even in defeat, Caleb refused to lose hope. With Jeff's unwavering support and guidance, he knew that he would continue to strive for greatness, pushing himself to new heights as he embarked on the journey to master his abilities and become the warrior he was destined to be. 'Damn it! So this is how strong Saints are? I shall reach this fucking realm!'

As Caleb and Jeff exchanged questions and answers, the atmosphere between them crackled with tension, each word carrying the weight of their shared history and familial bond.

"How did you manage to destroy my Gum Gum Rubber Domain?" Caleb asked, his voice tinged with curiosity as he studied his grandfather's expression for any hint of deception.

Jeff chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he recounted the events of their earlier spar. "It was a simple matter of applying brute force," he replied nonchalantly. "Your domain may have been durable, but it was no match for the strength of my attacks."
