Chapter 355: 355: Obedient Younger Brother
Jeff did not refuse his grandson's request. It was time to give his grandson a good impression. After all, in their first meeting, he did not give a good impression to his grandson. Now, he can finally make his grandson look at him in a good light.
So Jeff straightened his posture, and his whole body exuded a majesty befitting someone who had sat in a position of power. His expression became solemn as he went toward his way beside Voli.
Voli froze as he saw his master's grandfather. By now, he knew how strong the old man in front of him was. His beastly instinct was warning him not to do anything stupid or say anything foolish. The old man in front of him was a monster in human skin, and he knew that if the old man did something, his master might not be able to protect him as he had thought in the past.
He knew that his master was powerful and reliable, like a father and God in his heart. However, he also knew that battle capability or combat prowess was different. His master had the magical ability to fuse everything and anything, giving him infinite potential and a bright future.
A potential that hasn't been realized yet is not equal to combat prowess. Voli knew that his master needed time to become something greater and do something that no one had done. But it needs time. For now, Caleb or his master is still in the third realm in the world they are currently in.
Voli also knew that his master could travel in infinite worlds. Due to this, his confidence in his master was not unfounded. Voli does not want to cause trouble for his master and wants to help as much as possible. As Caleb's first tamed beast, he wants to reduce his master's burden.
As Voli thought of this, Voli became silent and let Jeff, his master's grandfather, do anything he wanted. At least, he was confident that the old man in front of him wouldn't hurt him or do something stupid to him.
After all, Voli knew that in the human world, family is family. Now, the old man in front of him is his master's grandfather. Voli is the pet of Jeff's grandson. That makes Voli a part of the De Vera family, well, at least indirectly, although not by blood.
Jeff caressed Voli's furry head in a good mood and looked at everyone. His gaze shifted from Caleb to Delvin, Klein, and their parents. Then his gaze stayed on his son, who had a skeptical expression at this very moment.
"Well, that's right. Voli here, this bear, is actually a Goliath-level beast."
"What? Are you joking with me, father? Don't play around! Goliath-level is not that equivalent to transcendent? You mean this, my son's pet is as strong as transcendent? Are they equal in strength!?"
...
"I'm not joking. Do you think I'm lying to you, son?" Jeff's eyes narrowed, and his whole being exuded a strong pressure that bore down on his son. Adam's father trembled, feeling a cold sweat behind his back. A shiver ran down his spine. He was scared, admitting his father was no longer a normal human. He had long left the human category; a saint-level powerhouse could withstand a nuclear bomb onslaught with their body alone. That's how strong his father was.
"You must be joking. It's not that I don't trust you, father. It's just that the fact that my son is already transcendent was hard enough to accept. Now, you're saying even his pet has reached transcendent?! Don't blame me for not believing! It's surreal, unbelievable, and unacceptable." Adam's father was breathless, kneeling on the floor due to the terrifying pressure his father had given him. He felt like he was facing a mountain, and he was an ant.
Seeing this, Jeff shook his head, retracting all the pressure he had. Everyone felt their bodies become lighter, shoulders relaxed as the tense atmosphere disappeared. Jeff returned to his usual jovial demeanor as if nothing had just happened.
"Well, I'm not lying, son. This bear here is a transcendent or Goliath-level beast. With it alone, it can fight an entire army or even destroy a country. Truthfully, your son and his pet could individually destroy the Philippines, the very country we stand in. So, have confidence. Transcendent beings are that powerful. Your son, with his pet, and with me, our family is already capable of conquering and ruling a country. We can rule the Philippines right now, as long as I eliminate the three babies hiding somewhere, thinking they own this land."
"Father, don't talk like that. I know you hate those three, but we can't do anything. They are protected by a saint from China."
"I know. If they weren't protected, I'd have eliminated them. They bark but cower in fear, all talk and no action. Believe me, with your son and his pet, and with my addition, we can rule this country."
"Ruling a country is not that ambitious, right, father?" Adam's father smirked, and Jeff became silent, looking at Caleb mysteriously.
Voli was confused, unable to comprehend the humans' conversation. Delvin, Klein, and Adam's mother were stunned, unable to process the information. Everything they heard felt like a dream.
"Damn it, Delvin, can you punch me in the face? I want to see if I'm dreaming," Klein said absentmindedly as he couldn't really believe what was happening or what he was hearing.
Delvin didn't even think about it or show any signs of hesitation. He clenched his fists, contracted his biceps, and when he felt he gathered enough force, he curled his fist into a ball and punched Klein in the face.
THUD!
Unfortunately, there was no damage even though he exerted his full strength, and Klein didn't even groan in pain or make a sound. He just looked at his younger brother Delvin stupidly. Your next chapter awaits on empire
"What the hell? You really punched me!? I'm just fucking joking, you know!" Klein rubbed his itchy nose in disbelief and exclaimed.
Delvin chuckled, "Well, you told me. I just followed. I'm an obedient younger brother, you know?"
Delvin couldn't help but sneer. "And I knew that a normal human like me can't possibly hurt an awakening genetic warrior like you."
"What the hell is wrong with you!?" Klein was utterly pissed.
