Lord of The Mysteries: Chained

Caster quickly made a hole in the barrel filled with gunpowder and sprinkled it around the room. The rest of the crew also followed him and spread the gunpowder around the room.

Looking around, Caster saw everything was in place and decided to ask his crew if they were all ready. But suddenly, a strong footsteps was heard at the end of the corridor.

Caster quickly drew his gun and aimed at the door. The crew instantly understood that they had been found, they drew their weapons hastily.

Just as Caster cocked his gun the door burst open pushing Brian down. James has entered the room!, he was covered in blood and had a crazy smile.

"You should've just stayed down but it's good you tried to rebel; more food for me" James said dementedly.

Silence filled the room, the only that could be heard was James's hoarse breathing. The ship rocked as the waves hit the boat.

A strong scent of ozone could be smelt along with continuous barrage of lightning. It was clear a storm was brewing.

Caster knew he and his crew wouldn't make it out alive but luckily for them; James was in the middle of losing control. His condition was bad as fur grew wildly on his body.

His eyes turned scarlet red and his nose enlarged. Quickly coming to a decision, Caster yelled out: "Ru-"

But before he could finish Janes rushed at Sarah and pierced her chest. Caster's pupils enlarged before he jumped back and fired two shots.

Even though James was in the process of losing control, he showcased excellent agility as he avoided the bullets like a clown. Caster yelled at Ralph to take Oliva away too but even that seemed to be a bad decision as James bit Olivia's head off.

Things were not going according to his plan; James kept on losing control but he had already lost half of his crew. Caster grit his teeth and kept on firing shots at James.

A few shots struck James but that was not enough to stop a werewolf who was losing control. James's hand smashed into Caster's ribs flinging him into the wall.

Ralph at that moment seemed to finally snapped out of his shock and rushed at James stabbing him in the back. This enraged James as he tried to claw Ralph's chest.

But thankfully that was stopped by Brian; he didn't know how Brian had managed to stop James's attack; he was only a regular human. But at that moment he spotted illusory scales on Brian's arms.

'Sequence 9: Sailor!' Caster yelled in his mind. He kept on firing shots at James, some missed and some hit.

Ralph at that moment seemed to turn red as he rushed at James's and stabbed him multiple times on his chest. This seemed to be the final straw as James fully lost control.

His hand mutated completely and turned into a wolf's feet. His nose enlarged and turned into a snout; his skin fell off and turned into fur as his body seemed to grow multiple times.

Janes started howling like a wounded wolf, his body started growing and stopped as he reached 2 meters in height.

James turned back to face Caster but he was met with Caster holding a small well lit lamp. Caster smiled wildly and screamed

"HASTA LA VISTA BABY!" as he smashed the lamp against the deck.

A huge explosion filled the room and engulfed everybody. The fire burst the room apart, flinging Brian, Ralph's corpse, Sarah's corpse, Olivia's corpse, James and Caster.

In an unknown island which was covered with fog, daylight seemed to have vanished for the day as not a single light was seen.

At the beach of this island one could see it was littered with pieces of wood and sails. It looked like the wreckage came from a sunken ship.

Near one of these wreckages a charred young man and a scorched wolf were seen laying together. Their chest rises and sunk slowly.

The albino seemed to be the first one to stir awake. He slowly opened his eyes and yelped in pain. "It hurts, it hurts, it hurts!"

The albino screamed with agony, his eyes welled up with water as he screamed. Slowly, his screams of agony rescinded.

Caster scanned his surroundings and yelped when he saw the wolf. The wolf seemed on the verge of death but it still made Caster jump back in fear.

He searched his body and quickly pulled his gun out of his pocket and aimed it at the wolf. Just as he was about to pull the trigger a sudden idea emerged.

He hastily searched his surroundings and scavenged a few pounds and soli; taking the money he ran to the center of the island with all his strength.

Caster quickly came back to the beach after gathering the materials he required. Coming back, he saw James was still alive and breathed a sigh of relief.

He drew his gun and whispered: "This is the end of Captain James!"

Caster soon pulled the trigger only for the gun to misfire: "Fuck!." Caster yelped, his hand was almost blown off.

He quickly drew his knife and slit James's throat. He set up a simple altar and prayed to the Evernight Goddess, hoping she would take pity on her fellow countrymen.

He soon saw James's spirit appearing, he considered his words and hastily asked: "Why are you transporting slaves?!."

James's spirit was unresponsive for a few seconds before he slowly started speaking. "They're sacrifices so that the Mother Goddess can give birth to one of her faces called Tiriè!"

Caster was surprised, he didn't know that they had already started the birth of Tiriè this early. He then asked the next question on his mind.

"Where were you supposed to transport them too?"

"The ship would reach Feynapotter Kingdom in a few days after that we would hold the slaves captive for three months until a higher up would come to take them" James uttered with distress.

Caster could see that James's spirit was slowly fading and quickly asked his next question.

"The potion formula for the prisoner pathway!"

James uttered with significant distress:

"Sequence 9: Prisoner

Main ingredients - 35 millilitres of Goat-horned Blackfish Blood, 50 gram Steller Aqua Crystal.

Supplementary Ingredients - 80 millilitres Purified Blood, 5 milliliters of essential oils made from Hornbeam."

James paused and struggled to continue:

"Sequence 8: Lunatic

Main Ingredients - A Demon Throat Honeyguide's Heart, Grass of Madness

Supplementary Ingredients - 100 millilitres Purified Blood, 100 millilitres alcohol, 10 grams of Aqua Fern Grass Powder, An unpeeled walnut."

James took a breath and continued:

"Sequence 7: Werewolf

Main Ingredients - A- a- a"

James struggled to continue as his spirit started fading. Caster cursed and decided not to inquire about the main ingredients; he decided to use James's Beyonder characteristic.

"Just tell me the supplementary ingredients fast!"

"Supplementary Ingredients - 50 milliliters of Distilled Liquor, 10 drops of Honeysuckle Extract, A Golden-Rimmed Sunflower." James said as his spirit dissipated.

Caster let a deep sleep sigh of relief as James finished. He had finally gotten the Beyonder potions.
