Lord : Bloodline of the Pharaohs and Olympus

Chapter 10: The conspiracy

The white light engulfed the village in a blinding flash. For a fleeting moment, the entire world seemed frozen in radiance. Instinctively, everyone shut their eyes, shielding themselves from the overwhelming brilliance. Then, just as swiftly as it had come, the light faded into nothingness, leaving behind an eerie silence.

As his vision adjusted, Suleiman's eyes widened in astonishment. His house—it had transformed. What once was a modest home had now become a grand structure, towering three stories high. The woodwork exuded an ancient, dignified aura, as if whispering tales of forgotten ages.

His gaze drifted beyond, and he felt his breath hitch. The village had expanded, stretching now to a vast 300 meters by 300 meters.

On either side, the Royal Pyramid and the Olympian Mountain loomed larger than before, standing like eternal sentinels watching over his domain. A realization dawned upon him—as the city ascended in level, so too would the true might and grandeur of these legendary structures be revealed.

With steady hands, Suleiman opened the City Panel.

A familiar presence stirred behind him. Athena stepped forward, her tone laced with admiration.

"Congratulations, Your Highness," she said smoothly, her voice carrying a note of respect. "Not only have you upgraded the village, but you have also defeated the goblins. I have no doubt that Your Highness will establish a strong foothold in NIVHARA before long."

Suleiman, however, remained unfazed. His voice was calm yet resolute.

"There is still much to be done, Athena," he stated as he strode purposefully into his house.

The moment he stepped inside, he could feel it—a shift, a refinement, an undeniable elevation.

The furniture had been lavishly upgraded. The dining table stretched grander, the chairs more numerous, and the walls bore hunting trophies—beastly heads mounted as decor.

His steps carried him toward the study, and there, the transformation became even more evident. The room had expanded, granting it an aura of authority. The massive oak desk radiated power, while the luxurious chair spoke of silent dominance. Yet, the most striking addition was what lay behind the desk—a severed goblin head, displayed like a grim trophy.

A spark of satisfaction flickered in his eyes, but he did not linger. He ascended the stairs, his footsteps echoing through the now spacious second floor.

Three equal-sized rooms lined the hall, accompanied by a vast, well-crafted bathroom.

Without hesitation, he moved up once more—to the third floor.

The entire level had become a master suite, a domain of its own. The luxurious bed, capable of holding four people, stood as its centerpiece. To the side, a training mat lay in wait, silent yet inviting.

A deep breath.

Then, Suleiman began his training.

Summoning the Immortal Ra Technique, he closed his eyes, focusing.

Almost instantly, a vortex of faith energy erupted around him. It twisted and swirled, a force both divine and commanding. The Olympian Mountain answered, feeding its energy into the spiraling current. Within the vortex, a golden streak threaded through the pure white storm—an anomaly, yet perfectly synchronized.

As Suleiman absorbed the golden essence, his entire being shuddered. The energy raced within him, moving faster, stronger, wilder.

A sharp inhale. His blood—it boiled.

He delved inward, peering into himself. His blood no longer looked normal. It pulsed with an eerie black glow, golden veins intertwining within.

The phenomenon lingered, then—suddenly—it faded, his blood returning to its normal red hue.

Silence.

Then, Suleiman opened his eyes.

They held depth. Understanding. A storm of realization.

"So… this power… this is the Fate of the Village," he murmured.

His mind raced, piecing together the puzzle.

"As the village grows, through wars, invasions, and the birth or allegiance of Heaven's Children, this energy will only intensify…"

Then, a smirk. A chilling, knowing smirk.

"The energy of fate has unlocked a fragment of my father's memory…" His voice was barely above a whisper, yet it carried weight, truth, revelation.

A pause. A flicker of something dark crossed his face.

"So I am the son of Ra and Gaia. The brother of Horus and Zeus."

A sharp exhale, his jaw tightening.

"And yet… their plan was for me to be their tool. To help them return to NIVHARA, all while relying on the very power they 'bestowed' upon me."

His lips curled into a mocking sneer.

"But they forgot something crucial." His voice dropped to a cold, lethal whisper.

"Everything they own… belongs to Ra and Gaia."

"And I am their only child—the sole heir to their true power."

A pause. His fingers clenched into fists.

"The others? They are nothing more than mere elements, given form by my parents' will."

His thoughts churned. The conspiracy wrapped around him like an unshakable noose.

And yet—he sensed loyalty from all… except Athena.

From her, he felt nothing.

A bitter realization settled over him. He was still weak. As he was now, he was nothing more than prey, caught in a game far beyond his control.

His expression hardened.

"Fine," he muttered, determination surging in his veins.

"It seems I have no choice but to ride the tide. If I do not use the strength they have given me, I will be crushed before I even have the chance to meet them."

A weary sigh.

But then—a thought. NIVHARA.

It held secrets. Perhaps, just perhaps, within those secrets lay the key to everything.

Pushing his thoughts aside, he opened his Personal Panel.

He lingered on one thought.

His bloodline could reach five stars.

"Perhaps," he mused, "the answer to this conspiracy lies in my bloodline."

He laid back on the bed. Despite the shadows looming over him, hope remained.

And with that, he closed his eyes, drifting into a restless slumber.

With the first rays of dawn piercing through his chamber, Suleiman's eyes fluttered open.

A new day. A new set of challenges.

He rose from his bed, stretching out his limbs, his body still tingling with the remnants of last night's training. There was no room for hesitation—every second counted.

Descending the stairs, his gaze immediately landed on Athena and Luna, already seated at the dining table, enjoying their breakfast.

"Good morning, Your Highness!" Luna greeted eagerly, her voice carrying an air of warmth.

Suleiman's expression softened slightly. "Good morning," he responded before adding, "Did you sleep well?"

Luna nodded quickly, cheeks slightly flushed. "Mhm, thank you for asking."

His attention shifted momentarily to the lavish spread on the table. The aroma of freshly baked bread and roasted meat filled the air, teasing his senses.

"This breakfast looks exceptional today. By the way, where are Lina and Martha?" he asked as he reached for his meal, though his eyes remained locked on Athena.

"They're having breakfast in our chambers," Luna replied. "They woke up before dawn to prepare this feast."

Suleiman took a bite, nodding in appreciation. "Their cooking is truly remarkable. I'll have to eat more of their meals from now on."

His words were casual, but his gaze never left Athena.

A tense silence settled over the table. Luna fidgeted, visibly uneasy, as if sitting on a bed of nails.

Once breakfast concluded, Suleiman leaned back slightly, his voice taking on a more commanding tone.

"You're free to explore the village, but you must have a guard accompany you at all times. Later, we'll discuss how you will return to the City of Soldier's Forest."

Luna blinked, caught off guard by the sudden shift. "Oh… understood!" she responded quickly, rising to her feet—almost as if she were fleeing.

Suleiman, however, remained in his seat, his piercing eyes now entirely fixed on Athena.

A tense silence.

Then—his voice, steady yet laced with a dangerous edge.

"Athena…"

Her brows furrowed slightly. "Yes?"

His next words were sharp, deliberate, and unwavering.

"Will you betray me one day?"

A loaded pause.

"Or, to put it more clearly…where does your loyalty truly lie?"

His voice carried a subtle warning—a silent yet undeniable promise.

If the day of his downfall ever came, he would not go down alone.
