Lookism: New Life

After falling into a deep sleep, Ryu was jolted awake the next morning by the harsh sunlight streaming through his window. Blinking groggily, he glanced at the clock—and his eyes widened in panic.

He was going to be late for school!

Only 30 minutes left!

Without wasting a second, he rushed through his morning routine—taking a quick shower, throwing on his school uniform, and slurping down a cup of instant ramen to satisfy his hunger. As soon as he was ready, he bolted out the door, sprinting at full speed toward school.

He arrived just in time, sliding into the classroom with only two minutes to spare before the first class started.

The teacher looked at the class and spoke.

"Everyone, we have a transfer student."

At the teacher's cue, Ryu stepped inside.

"Please introduce yourself," the teacher said.

Ryu nodded and faced the class.

"I'm Daniel Park. I hope to get along with you all."

He gave a polite bow.

The teacher then pointed to an empty seat—the last one near the window. Sitting beside it was Zack Lee.

Taking his seat, he casually turned to Zack. "Hey, what's your name, dude?"

Though he already knew from reading Lookism, he had to act as if he didn't.

"It's Zack," Zack replied.

"Nice to meet you!" Ryu said with a grin.

Zack smirked. "Yeah, same!"

The morning classes passed quickly, and soon it was lunchtime.

As they walked to the cafeteria, Ryu continued chatting with Zack, mostly about school. The webtoon had only shown brief glimpses of the school building, which wasn't enough for him to navigate. Even finding his own classroom earlier had been a nightmare—he had to run up and down several floors before locating it.

As they ate, a strong urge welled up inside him—the desire to change everything.

He wanted to tell Zack about Johan, to give him all the information and make him an ally. It would give him a massive advantage.

But he stopped himself.

If he revealed too much, things would spiral out of control. He wouldn't be able to handle the consequences.

So he chose to stay silent.

After lunch, they returned to class, and the rest of the school day passed without incident. When the final bell rang, Ryu waved goodbye to Zack and headed home.

Today, he had only spoken with Zack, but he knew he needed to befriend Vasco, Jay, Vin, and the other key characters. It would be crucial—not only to grow stronger but also to find his brother.

He hadn't forgotten about Rio.

When he got home, he took a refreshing bath and lay down on his bed, lost in thought.

"Beating up bullies isn't a stable source of income… I need something better."

Then, a memory struck him.

Back when he and Rio used to wait for Lookism updates, they often read fanfictions. One of them had a protagonist who could copy any movement, not just martial arts.

A smirk formed on Ryu's lips.

He grabbed his phone, opened U-Tube, and began searching.

As he scrolled through the results, his eyes suddenly lit up with excitement.

He had found exactly what he needed.

Well, I had to end it in a cliffhanger to make it more intresting.

Also the fanfic I mentioned is Lookism: What If by Mr_Graythorn. If you read it you will have a idea about the video that Ryu found.
