Lookism: Forbidden Knowledge

As Daniel's consciousness slipped away, he found himself awakening in his second body.

He felt refreshed, his mind clear from a full night's rest. Stretching his arms, he stood up, feeling the strength and perfection of this body once again.

Then, a troubling thought struck him.

If my second body stays awake at night and my first body stays awake during the day… that means I can't go to school with this body.

Realizing this, he tried to force himself back to sleep. He tossed and turned, willing his body to drift off—but no matter how much he tried, sleep refused to come.

Then, he remembered something.

When reading the webtoon he used to slap his original body, which would force his consciousness to transfer.

Maybe that will work again?

Without hesitation, he gave his first body a small slap.

Nothing.

Frowning, he clenched his fist and delivered a hard punch.

Suddenly, his vision blurred, and the world went black.

The next thing he knew, he was back in his first body—and the moment he awoke, a sharp wave of soreness rippled through his entire body. Every muscle screamed in protest from the intense workout he had done earlier.

Damn… I can't even move.

His limbs felt like lead, and no matter how much he tried, his body refused to get up. There was only one option left—stay where he was and endure the pain.

A few hours later...

His eyes flickered to the clock.

5:17 AM.

He blinked sluggishly, his vision hazy from exhaustion. His lack of sleep was catching up to him.

"I should wake in my second body now," he though.

He pulled the blanket over himself and closed his eyes.

As soon as he closed his eyes, he fell asleep.

When he opened his eyes, he was back in his second body.

The problem was finally solved. Now, he could go to school with his second body which would eliminate hin a lot of trouble in school.

But before he could even enjoy his victory, another problem arose—one even bigger than before.

Money.

His finances were dire. He barely had enough to survive for a week.

If he wanted to train, eat properly, and prepare for the future, he needed to find a way to make money.

Fast.

Then… I'll have to earn it myself.

But how?

A part-time job would take up too much time. And even if he got one, it wouldn't pay enough to support both his training and survival.

There has to be another way…

He leaned against the wall, deep in thought.

Then, an idea struck him.

What if I use my second body?

His second body was handsome, strong, and athletic. He could do things his first body never could. Maybe there was a way to take advantage of that…

But whatever it was, he had to figure it out fast.

Because if he ran out of money, all of his plans would crumble before they even start.

Daniel made up his mind to start searching for a way to make money quickly, efficiently and also sufficiently. His money source had to be stable.

I ended this chapter a bit early to make a cliffhanger. It is so fun to make a cliffhanger, I guess I found out why manhwas, mangas, manhuas, novels have so many cliffhangers.
