Live Treasure Appraisal: Your Pokémon Can't Breed!

Chapter 3: 3.

Ye Yinchuan confirmed the connection.

On the livestream screen, half of it was occupied by his own face, while his Munchlax sat obediently beside him, occasionally sniffing its armpits.

On the other side was BigMuscles' feed, revealing a gym in the background.

He sat on a workout machine, drenched in sweat, looking like he had just finished a workout.

Beside him was a Machop, lifting a dumbbell with great focus.

"I'm a gym coach and also a trainer. This is my Pokémon, Machop. Streamer, can you tell how good my Machop is? Give it an appraisal."

[CarrotLady: "Wow, nice body. Are you local?"]

BigMuscles immediately responded, "Of course! Wanna check out our gym, miss?"

Ye Yinchuan's face darkened slightly.

"Hey, hey, don't use my stream for business promotion. Now, point the camera at Machop so I can take a good look."

More viewers chimed in.

[NutritionThread: "Go, streamer! I'm waiting for the appraisal results. Don't disappoint me!"]

Seeing this comment, Ye Yinchuan nearly choked.

What kind of ridiculous username was 'NutritionThread'? It had an absurd charm that made him want to laugh every time he saw it.

Ye Yinchuan examined the Machop.

It was about half a head taller than Munchlax, with a humanoid physique and gray skin.

Its eyes were red with black pupils, and three bony ridges protruded from its head, likely for protection.

Its head and tail resembled those of a reptile, while its hands were human-like with five fingers. Its feet had no distinct toes, resembling an elephant's hooves, giving it a stable stance.

Activating Treasure Appraisal Eye, a detailed panel popped up.

[Superpower Pokémon: Machop]

[Status: Unhappy]

[Evolution Path: Machoke → Machamp]

[Special Condition: Supermale Syndrome]

"Huh?"

At first glance, it seemed like a pretty decent Machop.

But as he read further, Ye Yinchuan's expression grew more serious.

"Buddy, your Machop… can't breed."

After staring at the screen for a while, this was the first thing he blurted out.

BigMuscles immediately got defensive.

"What the hell do you mean, it can't breed? My Machop is perfectly fine! Even the Pokémon evaluation agency said its individual value is excellent! You better explain yourself!"

For trainers, Pokémon were of utmost importance—they invested countless hours into raising them.

No one wanted to hear negative comments about their prized Pokémon.

[NutritionThread: "Haha, this is getting good!"]

[CarrotLady: "Streamer, be careful with your words. Every Pokémon is precious. How can you say it can't breed?"]

Ye Yinchuan remained calm.

"Relax, man. Just answer me this—has your Machop ever accidentally injured you?"

BigMuscles hesitated for a moment but then confidently replied,

"Machop is a very active Pokémon that loves training. In the gym, bumps and scrapes are normal!"

Ye Yinchuan shook his head at his stubbornness.

"So it has, huh? Let me tell you right now—if you keep this Machop, one day, it's going to send you straight to the hospital. Take my advice—either learn how to handle it properly, or get rid of it before it's too late."

BigMuscles was stunned by his serious tone.

"What the hell, streamer?! Are you cursing me? My Machop is super well-behaved! I'll prove it—Machop, come here! Show them you won't hurt me!"

"Wait—"

Ye Yinchuan noticed Machop's status had changed from Unhappy to Furious.

But BigMuscles was determined to prove his point.

The next second…

Machop's eyes flashed angrily. It yanked free from BigMuscles' grip and punched him square in the face.

The impact was so strong his whole face twisted sideways.

"Ow! Machop, you hit me?!"

BigMuscles shouted in outrage, struggling with his own Pokémon, but Machop overpowered him and threw him across the gym.

A loud THUD echoed.

Even through the screen, it looked painful.

"Buddy… was this really necessary?"

Ye Yinchuan sighed.

At this point, wasn't he partially responsible for this outcome?

With that thought, he pulled up his phone's wooden fish app and tapped it a couple of times in prayer.

[NutritionThread: "Holy crap, the streamer was right! This Machop needs to be put down before it kills someone!"]

[CarrotLady: "Damn, this guy's the real deal. Streamer, appraise my Pokémon next!"]

"Hold on. I need to check if I should call the cops. I don't want my first stream to involve a murder case."

Fortunately, in the gym feed, other people had rushed over to intervene. They worked together with their Pokémon to subdue the raging Machop.

A bloodied BigMuscles staggered back into the frame and bowed to Ye Yinchuan through the screen.

"I take it back… you're the real deal. I can't believe that little bastard actually hit me! I raised it, fed it, trained it—I never mistreated it! I just patted it a bit, and it did this!"

People around him urged him to get to a hospital, but he stubbornly clutched his phone, staring at the stream.

Because he was not willing to accept this reality.

For a trainer to be attacked by their own Pokémon—it wasn't just an injury. It was a disgrace.

[NutritionThread: "Damn, this stream is insane! Glad I didn't leave!"]

[CarrotLady: "Dude, go to the hospital already!"]

[KingKong: "Streamer, explain! I need answers!"]

"It's not your fault. Honestly, it's not even Machop's fault either. Let me ask you—have you ever heard of Supermale Syndrome?"

[NutritionThread: "I've seen people use 'supermale' as an insult sometimes."]

[CarrotLady: "I know that! Isn't it a genetic disorder in human males?"]

[KingKong: "What the hell does that mean? Speak human, streamer!"]

"Exactly. It's a genetic defect. Your Machop has Supermale Syndrome—an extra Y chromosome, making it prone to aggression, irritability, and extreme violence."

Ye Yinchuan explained further.

"This disorder is rare in humans, but when it appears, it often leads to behavioral issues. Now imagine this condition in a superpowered Pokémon, specifically a Fighting-type like Machop. Tell me—does that sound like a Pokémon you should keep?"

The realization hit BigMuscles and the viewers like a truck.

"Sh*t… so I really shouldn't keep it?"

Despite the bruises and blood, BigMuscles looked at his now vine-wrapped and restrained Machop with reluctance.

Raising a Pokémon was like raising a child—it formed an emotional bond.

"Look, get to a hospital first. Afterward, I can advise you on what to do. But think carefully—Machop is still young, but if you continue raising it, one day, it could actually kill someone. If you're not willing to put in extreme effort to control it, give it to an expert or a specialized organization."

Ye Yinchuan wasn't trying to be dramatic.

Supermale Machops were stronger and more aggressive, but with proper training, they could be turned into powerful assets.

If tamed correctly, this condition could even become an advantage—almost like a hidden ability.

"Alright! Streamer, I'm following you! I'm your first fan now! Once I get patched up and think it through, I'll come back! Thanks, streamer!"

With that, BigMuscles ended the call.

Ye Yinchuan leaned back, exhaling deeply.

Who would've thought his first-ever stream would be this intense?

Checking the viewer count, it had already risen to dozens—and was steadily climbing.

The chat was buzzing.

[NotASupermale: "What did I miss? Why was that dude bleeding and still thanking the streamer?"]

[NutritionThread: "LMAO, with that username, I don't know if you're trolling or serious."]

[CarrotLady: "Alright, streamer, it's my turn! Appraise my Pokémon!"]

Ye Yinchuan grinned.

"Alright, let's bring in the next appraisal! CarrotLady, show me your Pokémon!"
