Limitless Summoner: Rise of the Soul God

Chapter 146: Dungeon Records Board

After the icy terrain, the next dungeon was once again a forest-themed one, followed by a desert-type dungeon. They did run into a troublesome water dungeon, but Ethan immediately exited it, deciding that it was not worth the trouble. Surprise, surprise, Luna was somehow able to breathe in water, but both he and Lia began to suffocate within seconds. It was just not worth it when there were so many more dungeons to complete and so little time. A couple more dungeons later, finally Lia had some good news to share. "Master, I am at level 25. I can start my evolution process now." "Do you have any requirements for triggering it?" Ethan had a brutal requirement for his evolution to the next rank, and he couldn't help but wonder about her situation. Surprisingly, Lia shook her head. "I don't really have any. Usually, there are no special requirements for a F rank to E rank evolution." She added. Ethan could only bitterly smile at that response. It was probably because his class was way too special. It was fine. He was close to achieving his target. The group continued with their runs, only going over to the vendor area when both the storage spaces were fully occupied. Soon, several hours passed by, and everyone, excluding Luna of course, looked a bit tired. Lia was tired from the constant effort she put in, while Ethan was tired from repeatedly summoning his minions and exhausting his mana every single time. Even with his massive reserves, he was starting to feel the effects of prolonged battle. The only one still bursting with energy was, unsurprisingly, Luna. She happily skipped ahead, swinging her arms. "That was fun! Let's do more!" Ethan groaned. "We just finished a dungeon, Luna. Can you not be an infinite energy gremlin for five minutes?" She pouted. "But big brother, we're getting stronger! I don't even feel tired at all!" Ethan sighed. Of course, she didn't. She was a monster in human form. Still, he wasn't going to complain about progress. All of his wolves were already at level 25. His insectoids were also at level 25, along with his goblin group of 5. However, the weird thing was that, along with Lia and the rest of his minions, not a single one was able to step past level 25. Even Lia was simply stuck at level 25 even after she finished the evolution process. "It has to be some kind of cap." Ethan clicked his tongue in deep thought. "Well, there is only one way to find out. We just need a couple more runs, and everyone should be level 25 by then." Though this was an inconvenience, there was also good news. Everyone started gaining more experience points and leveling quickly as there were fewer bodies to share now. "Any time now…" Ethan nervously exhaled. Meanwhile, something else was going on in the grand dungeon hall. The normally composed and disciplined students of the various academies were now gathering in large numbers, their voices rising in excited, disbelieving chatter. Whispers turned into murmurs, and murmurs escalated into full-blown discussions as more students were drawn into the spectacle. All eyes were locked onto a massive stone wall embedded in the hall's central chamber. This was no ordinary wall—it was the Dungeon Records Board, a sacred monument that listed the fastest clear times, the most legendary dungeon raids, and the names of those who had carved their way into academy history. At the very top of the board, a new name had appeared. Not a name, just an anonymous tag. [Blue Portal Dungeon – Crypt of the Undying] Fastest Clear Time: 1 Hour 03 Minutes Previous Record Holder: Garnet Academy Raid Team – 1 Hour 28 Minutes Current Record Holder: Unknown (Solo Clear) Gasps and exclamations spread like wildfire. "Absolutely not possible!" a fourth-year student from Onyx Crest Academy exclaimed, pushing to the front of the crowd. "This dungeon took an entire raid team of elite students to clear, and even then, they barely beat the time set years ago! How the hell did one person do it alone?!" A young girl from Verdant Horizon Academy shook her head in shock. "I was there when Professor Delmont said this record was nearly unbeatable. How could someone clear it even faster?" "I bet it's a mistake," another student scoffed. "Maybe the system glitched." "No way," a senior from Silverlight Academy interjected, shaking his head. "The Dungeon Records Board is linked to the system's logs directly. It doesn't lie." The murmurs grew more intense. Students rushed forward, their eyes scanning the entry again and again, looking for a clue—any clue—that might explain how this unknown individual had managed such a feat. Then, someone noticed something even more alarming. "Wait… look at the other dungeon records!" More heads turned as the realization dawned. This wasn't just one anomaly. [Blue Portal Dungeon – Twilight Fang Woods] Fastest Clear Time: 52 Minutes Previous Record Holder: Azure Moon Academy Raid Team – 1 Hour 15 Minutes Current Record Holder: Unknown (Solo Clear) [Blue Portal Dungeon – Sand Serpent's Domain] Fastest Clear Time: 58 Minutes Previous Record Holder: Garnet Academy's Elite Squad – 1 Hour 12 Minutes Current Record Holder: Unknown (Solo Clear) One after another, dungeon records were being shattered in rapid succession. And all of them—every single one—had been cleared by the same unknown entity. "What the hell is happening…?" a senior from one of the top academies whispered. "Who the hell is this person?" The realization was dawning on them all. This wasn't a fluke. This wasn't an accident. Someone—a complete unknown—was systematically crushing the academy elites' records, dungeon after dungeon. And they were doing it alone. A few of the more competitive students clenched their fists in frustration. The top dungeon records had always been held by the best and brightest of the academy world—teams composed of talented nobles, prodigies, and years of teamwork. But this? This was one person. A solo player. And no one even knew their name. A first-year student hesitantly spoke up. "D-Do you think it could be… a professor?" "Nonsense," a third-year snapped. "If instructors or higher rank students solo dungeons, then the system won't record it as an achievement. It has to be a level 25 or under F ranker."
