The evening of the same day.

Festrals are horses with wings, invisible to the human eye, that usually run air and ground carriages. Most of their kind have been bred by the Pillar of Furkas, probably since the very founding of their Kind. Some sort of attraction to horses, so they started taming and domesticating horses. That's where they make their money. They rent them out for a certain period of time, or they sign contracts for hundreds of years and are satisfied with the annual interest.

Now these flying horses were taking Lelouch and his cronies to another banquet organised by Rod Gremory. Not all families were invited, of course, but only those who could support the Resistance or were on the same path as them.

- What Lord Bael was planning to organise was a very dangerous undertaking, My Lord. And you trusted only Ladon and Lady Belphegor to protect you? And...may I continue? - Han began to speak, sitting across from Lelouch and Venelana in the flying carriage.

- 'Of course, when we are alone, you don't have to ask my permission,' Lelouch said with a smile, adjusting his patch over his eye.

- That could play tricks on you, My Lord. After all, something could have happened and your plan would not have worked. Perhaps Lady Belphegor had another attack because of the magic stone. Many things could have happened, and you have been so careless in the defence of your castle,' shook his head at Han, who was adjusting his trousers as he spoke.

- Indeed it could,' Lelouch nodded, looking at Han, who had clearly not expected such an answer, 'But I must confess that I have not told you everything about the consequences after the absorbed stone.

Lelouch glanced at Venelana, who was looking slightly guiltily at Han, and continued:

- The seizures will no longer bother Roigan or anyone else who has absorbed the Power of the stone,' Lelouch shocked Han with this news, 'Since Cedrio Dantalion has already developed a cure and used it on Roigan.

Han continued to listen to his Master with bulging eyes. And after a few seconds pause, he continued:

- 'Because the magic stone is filled with real Magic that was possessed by the Ancients, as Dantalion suggests, as well as by the current Gods, that's what causes the attacks.

- But...I don't quite understand, My Lord,' Han asked in a husky voice, as he had already been told that the so-called Ancients might have existed before. The ones who created this world. This theory arose after the death of the Biblical One, because after his death the balance of the whole world was disturbed, and it was noticed by many people. And it is also confirmed by the scrolls that Kairyu extracted from the dungeon of Lucifer's castle...

- When one of the Demons absorbs Magic, his body tries to subdue this unknown energy within and is rebuffed. They supplant each other until someone, shall we say, has their Powers depleted. And because Magic doesn't get support from the outside, it loses out to the demonic energy that comes from its owner's body, and from the surrounding nature of Hell,' Lelouch said cross-legged.

- So that's why you asked the Servants to fill Mistress Venelana with demonic energy during the third absorption. You already knew even then? - Han marvelled, convinced once again that his Lord was a genius.

- I assumed,' Lelouch nodded, "And my words were confirmed after Cedrio investigated Venelana," Lelouch glanced at his sister, but she only winked mischievously at her brother.

- Sir, you didn't give me this...

- I did,' Lelouch replied, but seeing Han's questioning look, he continued, 'They put it in your food a long time ago. I'm sorry, Han, but you were our first test subject,' Lelouch grinned, but felt bad that he hadn't told his faithful Servant sooner.

The Khan, mouth open, listened to his Master with great amazement. And after a few seconds of thought, he lowered his head. Everyone would feel depressed because you were involved in some kind of experiment.

- I would have saved you instantly,' Lelouch continued, seeing the state of his Servant, 'I would never have gone into such an experiment unless I was sure to the end that you would not die.

The Khan raised his gaze and looked into Lelouch's single right lilac eye, which was not covered by a patch. Numirah saw both icy calm and fear there at the same time. Lelouch was afraid. Truly afraid. Lelouch Lamperouge was the most powerful Demon in Hell, the one who had subjugated the White Dragon Emperor to his will, stopped the Red Emperor, and had also found shards of Vritra in the Sacred Mechanisms and handed one of them over to him. He was afraid of what the Servant would tell him....

But Han respected his Master, though he feared him too...

The one who could kill any Demon in Hell with a single word was truly afraid of the Servant's reaction...

Lelouch told Han about Gias, so he knows...

Han knows that the Servant is not an empty word to his Master. He doesn't treat them like carrion, but listens to everyone's word and supports them in a difficult situation.

He even helped the caretaker of his castle when he mentioned to his interlocutor - another caretaker - that he was short of money for medical treatment. The gentleman then came to their house and cured the caretaker's wife with the help of his unique Power. And there are many more such cases...

So Han decided to answer like this:

- Nothing, My Lord. I realise that it was not only for the sake of Mistress Venelana, but also for our own sake,' he bowed his head submissively, showing that he accepted this answer.

Lelouch sighed. And when he saw that they were approaching the Gremory estate, he put on a polite smile.

- Well, I will reiterate to you again. If you are insulted, or if you are...looked at,' Lelouch glanced at his beauty, 'then you can give him what he deserves. Remember! You are Lamperouge. And we are the strongest and most powerful. They invited us because they know that with Zekram's support, they can fail. That's why they need us,' Lelouch adjusted his camisole and looked at everyone in the carriage.

- Of course, My Lord,' Khan replied immediately.

- I will not let you down, My Lord,' Venelana replied, not shedding her officiousness.

- Good - said Lelouch and they landed at the same moment - Let's go. Today will be remembered by many, for today will decide the fate of the future history of Hell!

When they entered the hall, everyone fell silent. All the Demons in the room turned their gaze to the small group. Venelana watched the reaction of the Pillars. Some were openly shocked, some were slightly amazed, and some kept a calm face.

As Brother had anticipated, not everyone had been informed that we would be joining the Resistance. Even though Brother said that he didn't care about this bunch of Demons playing saviours, but...what would happen if Lelouch refused? What could they threaten us with?

Venelana mostly saw only the newly emerged Rods and minor Pillars. Of course, there were more powerful representatives, such as Agares, Fenex, Sitri.

But...

If they were supported by Zekram, they would definitely be able to defeat Rizevim's army.

I guess...

Zeotikus looks at Venelana with slight envy, but immediately dismisses such thoughts. Margarett only stands obediently beside her husband and looks only at Lelouch, her eyes reddening after looking at him.

Gias? Even on her you managed to use it? You didn't tell me. Now I see what kind of informant Gremory is to you. Well, that proud bitch got what she deserved for serving my brother.

But it was a calm and confident voice that announced the silence.

- Good evening, Lord Lamperouge and his Servants,' as the voice rang out, everyone parted and they saw the young Demon.

- Good evening, Prince Gremory,' Lelouch said importantly, nodding slightly to Sazex. Venelana and Han only followed their Lord's lead and nodded as well.

Long red hair, bright blue eyes, beautiful features and a friendly smile. Demon was wearing a white shirt that was underneath a grey long camisole with gold piping on the sleeves. And on top of the camisole he was wearing an armour similar to the one Rizevim wore. Attached to the golden breastplate, which covered only half of his upper body, were huge shoulder pads that were probably larger than his head. Grey trousers and simple black shoes.

Sasex Gremory. A demon 'destined' to surpass the First Lucifer. Strong. Very. Even at such a young age for Demons, he surpasses the amount of demonic energy I had when I absorbed two stones of magical ore.

But not now...

- I apologise, perhaps I shouldn't be doing this, but let me express my admiration for you, Auntie,' Sasex said to Venelana, to which she extended her hand to him, which he immediately kissed tenderly.

We are of different Clans, but he still called me his blood relative. The boy wants to change thousands of years of society by showing now that he doesn't care about the difference between the Clans? Interesting...

- Thank you, Prince Gremory,' Venelana replied as she continued to smile "sincerely", 'You look marvellous too. Perhaps even surpassing Mr Lelouch in that. Hee-hee,' Venelana grinned flirtatiously, watching Sazex's reaction. He didn't change his face.

- Thank you, but I don't think I can beat Lord Lamperouge. Not today, at least,' Sazex smiled a little harder.

- I don't doubt that, Prince Gremory,' Lelouch said with a polite smile, 'Still, at such a young age, you have already surpassed your parents, who are among the strongest Demons. They say that you are capable of surpassing Lucifer himself,' Lamperouge glanced behind Sazeksu's back, where his parents were standing with proud smiles.

- You flatter me,' Sazex smiled modestly, 'I may be capable of many things, but unlike you, I have no combat experience at all. Still, I am far from the man who drove two Dragon Emperors off the battlefield with his own strength,' he continued to look only at Lelouch.

- Luck was on my side, and the Dragon King intervened in the battle. I take no credit for that,' Lelouch brushed off Sazex's so lighthearted outburst.

The entire hall froze and listened intently to every word the two Demons were saying. Some switched seats, some came closer, and some were still reeling from the shock that Lamperouge was here.

- You are modest, Lord Lamperouge,' Sazex closed his eyes for a moment, 'But let's start talking about the business for which my grandfather invited you, rather than talking over each other.

Lelouch only grinned briefly, and Venelana was a step away from repeating her brother's words.

He doesn't play with words, but gets straight to the point. If he were Demon, he would praise the person he was talking to first and then get down to business. But Sazex isn't like that. Or has he already done that?

- Well, let's begin,' Lelouch found Zekram standing a few metres away from the stairs of the small stage, 'What can you offer me in return for agreeing to take part in the rebellion?

The entire hall continued to remain silent. There was no rustling, no adjusting of costumes, no breathing, only the pounding of hearts was clearly audible to everyone.

- I have cast away the doubts of my past world,' Lelouch thought to himself, 'I realised that this was what was preventing me from surpassing myself and moving on. Now I'm in another world where my life has changed completely. In a world where the lives of all beings will change....

But...

Am I ready to move forward in this world? How many creatures have died because of me? How many have been put to the sword for my ideas? Am I ready to fight? Am I ready to risk it all again?

Knock, knock... knock, knock, knock....

- Unfortunately, I have nothing to offer you. You have wealth, influence, power. I apologise if I offend you, but I know you haven't lived in the best of conditions...

- Enough, boy, get to the point,' Lelouch's tone changed from polite to cold for the first time that day. His right lilac eye glittered dangerously, and his face had an impassive expression.

My nephew was wrong to remind me of this. Did he want to push pity? Zekram certainly doesn't know either his former son or the new Lelouch Lamperouge....

Sasex only flinched slightly and this was only noticed by those who stood very close to Prince Gremory. Many Demons only glanced at Lelouch and looked away. But Sasex continued:

- ''I apologise,'' Sasex said sincerely, bowing slightly, ''I was leading up to the fact that you should be familiar with the environment that goes on at a lower level than the High Class.

Knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock...''

Looking at the impassive expression on his face, Sasex began to get frustrated, but he didn't stop and continued:

- They are suffering, Lord Lamperouge. Even now, in times of peace, they do not walk around with happy smiles and rejoice at the end of the war. Even decades later, when Hell's economy has begun to recover, nothing has changed. Those who were able to become stronger and richer during the War dominate the weak, and even now, as we speak, someone may have lost family, friends, just because it was the whim of some Demon,' Sazex began to invest his Aura and Will with each word, to reach everyone in this room, not just Lelouch, 'And among all those present, there are those who do not care about the people of the lower class. You have come only to find further gain for your Clan and yourselves. Like you,' Fenex started pointing at Lord Fenex, "Like you," he pointed at the head of Agares, who was like a rock and did not change in his face, "And even like you," he pointed at his grandfather. - Even though you offered me all this, even you have your own goals. You're not interested in Low and Middle Class demons. Only those who can benefit you.

Zekram, as well as the other Demons to whom Sasex addressed, did not change in any way in the face, but only made notes in his head about the future key figure of Hell.

You're a great actor, Sasex....

- And so are you,' Sazex looked at Lelouch, who was still standing with the same face, 'You asked me what I could give you in return for joining us. Nothing. I have nothing! - Sasex spread his hands, without losing the determined expression on his face, -And I, even knowing that you, for the most part, don't care how low class demons live. But I don't! Neither do my friends! - Sazex pointed somewhere in the crowd, from which three young Demons emerged, with huge amounts of mana.

Knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock....

A beautiful girl of short stature was walking in the centre, and her black hair, tied into two large braids, hung down on both sides and swayed as she walked. But despite her height, her dark blue long-sleeved shirt showed off her round bulges, and her knee-length black skirt covered her dainty little legs, which were wearing black shoes.

Her pink eyes were looking intently only at Han, not at any of the High Ones. Numirah, however, paid no attention and only pretended to listen to Sazex's speech.

Seraphall Sitri... this girl is dangerous. The demon's lover is an Inferior, and despite the Sitri's constant cries for equality, the Elders killed her lover...

- I want to build a world where everything depends not on your Title, but on your skills. And thanks to the project of my ingenious friend Ajuki Astaroth, we can achieve that,' he pointed at the Demon who was walking to Seraphall's right.

Knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock....

The young man of pleasant appearance was wearing a dark green shirt and the same colour jacket with a long bulging collar. Black trousers and the same colour shoes. Apart from his light green hair and blue eyes, what stood out among his appearance was the amulet around his neck, which reeked of powerful energy.

- He created a system called 'Evil Figures', which was based on crystals filled with demonic energy from the island of Agares. They will allow us to transform any creature other than Gods into demons, and in this way we will increase the number of our people,' Sazex finished his brief tour of the new project.

- Actually, it is not finished yet. Everything should be checked, corrected, then checked again, and sweat... - but thanks to the smile Serafall immediately stopped, - In general, everything will be at its best.

This news immediately encouraged and shocked all the Demons at the same time. Even the impenetrable Lord Agares showed surprise, but Lord Bael and Lamperouge remained adamant.

Venelana, on the other hand, turned her attention to the last Demon in Sazex's company.

Falbium Glasea-Lebolas was one of the Demons of the side branch. The main branch of the clan wished to follow Rizevim, but the side branch refused and they massacred each other where no of Falbium's kin, clan heads, or elders survived. He seemed to be the weakest in their company....

He was dressed in a modest grey long-sleeved shirt, over which was a purple cloak. Attached from the shirt to the cloak were some amulets by a golden rope. A calm expression on his face, a completely bald head and brown eyes that read boredom with everything that is going on here.

- I want to build a world where our people can see tomorrow! - Sasex said loudly, addressing the entire hall.

The impassive expression on Lelouch's face was replaced by a confused one. He had heard those words once before...

From himself...

That boy who had conquered the world for the sake of what people would see tomorrow....

By killing himself, to end the circle of hatred on earth...

He doesn't know if Suzaku's new world has been completed, but...

It doesn't matter...

The memories of those days were too painful and sad at the same time...

But hope even in the Demon's callous soul...

Is alive...

Too much falsehood, Sasex Gremory. Just because you remind me of my past self, I'll follow you.

Sooner or later your pride will destroy you...

Lelouch took a step forward. All the whispering ended, and once again all eyes turned towards Lelouch. No one was an exception. All the higher-ups thought that the boys would play around and everyone would disperse, but...Sasex's words echoed right in his heart....

And now the head of one of the most influential Clans of the Underworld will make his judgement, on which, perhaps, will depend the future not only economic, but also political situation of Hell...

- Look me straight in the eyes, boy, and repeat,' Lelouch said calmly, even somewhat quietly.

Sazex looked straight into Lelouch's right lilac gaze. His gaze was very heavy, extremely unbearable. It could seem that even if one were to look down on Lelouch right now, it would seem the opposite. Sazex swallowed, continuing to look directly into Lelouch's eye, and said:

- I want to build a world that demons could see tomorrow. So that they live with a smile on their lips and think about what they will do tomorrow. After all, tomorrow there will be no wars, no need to think about what to eat for breakfast - all this will not be. That's what I want, and I firmly believe that we can unite and make a community... - Sazex said firmly, continuing to look into Lelouch's eye, but he didn't finish....

It's not like me to behave this way, but it can be considered that this was a test...

I'll pursue my goals for now, but....

One might as well help these young Demons in achieving their goal...

Historians would probably call this moment 'pivotal', but everyone didn't have such thoughts on their minds back then. Shock and confusion - these emotions completely filled the hall, and it seemed one could breathe them.

Lelouch Lamperouge held out his hand to the shocked Sazex and said:

- I support you. Rod Lamperouge will fight on the side of the Resistance!

Only the loud heartbeats of every Demon's heart in this hall could be heard....

Knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock, knock-knock....
