Chapter 68: Chapter 68 - The Pride of the Blacksmith
Chapter 68: Chapter 68 - The Pride of the Blacksmith
Broken spent the entire day in the cave, effortlessly collecting iron ores from the prime spot he had been given. He was constantly approached by curious miners, engaging in
conversations about various topics. He did his best to respond, sometimes just laughing without fully listening.
"Hey Broken, I heard you're a blacksmith now," one of them said.
"Yes, that's right," Broken chuckled.
"Next time, I'll buy you a drink," another miner offered.
"Yes, hahaha."
"Do you prefer single women or widows, Broken? Hahaha, widows are more experienced!" another miner joked.
"Yes, hahaha."
"Are you married, Broken? Perhaps I can introduce you to my daughter," yet another miner suggested.
"Yes, hahaha."
After he felt he had gathered enough iron ores, he decided it was time to leave the cave. The miners tried to persuade him to stay longer, but he politely declined.
"Thanks, everyone."
"Come back soon, Broken! Hahaha," the miners called after him.
"No, thanks," he muttered as he walked away.

Broken rushed to Fokil's Smithy, eager to start his project of crafting his fighting set and a new weapon. The thought of having his own crafted armor and weapon excited him and kept buzzing in his mind. He couldn't wait to see the final products of his hard work.
When he entered the Smithy, Fokil looked at him with a curious expression. Broken's face was tired but lit up with a wide smile. "Where have you been, brat?" Fokil asked gruffly.
"Hi, sir. I bought some blueprints and just came back from the cave mining iron ores for my project," Broken replied, still grinning.
He took out several blueprints from his inventory and laid them out for Fokil to see.
[Warrior's Call Helmet Blueprint]
[Grade: Common ~ Elite]
[Warrior's Call Armor (Chest) Blueprint]
[Grade: Common ~ Elite]
[Warrior's Call Armor (Pants) Blueprint]
[Grade: Common - Elite]
[Warrior's Call Shoes Blueprint]
[Grade: Common - Elite]
[Iron Heart Sword Blueprint]
[Grade: Common - Elite]
Fokil sighed deeply, his face showing clear irritation. "Why did you waste your time mining those ores? You could have just bought them and crafted them into finished materials. You'd still make a significant profit and save time for blacksmithing. You need to concentrate on the important tasks; you don't have forever to focus on everything and expect to excel at all of it."
Broken smiled at Fokil's response. "I believe I can make more profit if I mine it myself, sir," he said. "Not only that, but I can also level up my Mining Technique skill. I was just having fun with it, but don't worry, I'm still focusing on my blacksmith crafting."
"It's up to you," Fokil said firmly. "You can use all the facilities in this smithy. I don't care. But I don't want to see any low-grade stuff coming out of your craft, understand?"
"Yes, of course. I will make sure of it," Broken replied casually, already planning his next steps in his mind.
Broken had gathered all the materials he needed, but he planned to log out of the game first. He knew this project would take several days, maybe even weeks, so he had to manage his time wisely.
"Sir, I have some matters I'd like to discuss with you," he said.
Fokil glanced up, curiosity etched on his face. "What is it?"
Broken then opened the skill screen and reviewed all the skills of the Royal Blacksmith Class
that he had obtained after unlocking this unique class.
"I would like to discuss any skills related to the Royal Blacksmith Class," he said.
"Sure, go on," Fokil replied.
Broken began explaining his current skills.
[Blacksmith's Craftsmanship (Production Skill) Master Rank - Lv. 1]
[The mysterious art of metalworking has the power to transform a pile of scrap into a masterpiece. If you're hoping to create something extraordinary, this skill is the perfect way to do it! Not only can you make the most impressive armor and weapons, but you can also rest assured that your craftsmanship will provide protection for your allies.]
Broken realized he was already at Master Rank - Level 1, a level that even Fokil had likely spent a long time reaching. So, he decided not to mention that part.
"I've heard a lot about this main skill. Essentially, I just need to keep crafting and practicing to increase the rank of this skill because it affects the overall effectiveness of my Blacksmith -class," he said.
"Put in the effort in your training, and don't worry about anything else. Persevere every day until your name is known by many. You'll only become legendary when you've completed something extraordinary," Fokil remarked.
Broken agreed with absolute certainty. He was determined to keep his progress concealed from everyone for a bit longer, as he enjoyed this game and wanted to continue playing without drawing too much attention. His goal was to remain unknown until he felt secure enough that any dangers posed by revealing his rank wouldn't threaten his success. Broken's next skill on his list was Blacksmith's Appraisal. He was quite familiar with this skill, having used it several times and possessing a good understanding of it. So far, he had only used the Appraisal skill on blueprints, which allowed him to uncover the Hidden Features and gain additional benefits from them. However, he realized that he needed to appraise more armor and weapons to gain a deeper understanding of the skill. He also became aware of the risk that comes with such a skill - accidentally increasing the value of an item if he appraised
it randomly.
Next was Blacksmith's Repair.
[Blacksmith's Repair (Production Skill)]
[No need to worry about broken weapons and armor any longer! With this skill, you can repair even the most battered items. It'll be like new again-almost! Utilize some of the materials at hand to perform repairs and restore the durability of weapons and armor. The chance of achieving success and obtaining exceptional results will depend on the Blacksmith's Craftsmanship rank and proficiency level, along with other factors related to the user.] "Blacksmith's Repair is a common skill, even for Blacksmiths with lower grades than you," Fokil explained.
Broken asked, "It's a skill to restore the durability of equipment back to 100%, correct sir?"
"That's correct," Fokil confirmed. "But the level of difficulty is not much different from making something new, even though you need less material. Plus, there is also a possibility to increase the grade of equipment if you have a high enough rank."
"I understand, sir," Broken replied, absorbing the information.
Broken possessed a unique set of Blacksmith Skills, some of which were possessed by Blacksmiths of a lower class grade. However, due to his Unique-grade class, he had the potential to gain even more benefits from his skills. Not only could he produce superior items, but his skills also had additional features. For instance, with Blacksmith's Repair, he had the ability to upgrade the grade of the item he repaired, which was more than just a simple repair. If he utilized all of his skills to their full potential, he could reap many benefits. "The last two skills," Fokil continued, his face lighting up with enthusiasm, "are the most
interesting ones, brat."
[Blacksmith's Soul Engrave (Production Skill)]
[Blacksmith's Path of Legend (Production Skill)]
