Chapter 177: Worst person for the trip
The winds became stronger as the Battleship approached the ground, but it didn't land. It hovered fifty meters above the ground, and the man sitting at the edge jumped off the Battleship.
The man landed on the ground before the group of students. Following him, a rope ladder came down from the Battleship.
The sleepy man stepped aside and said, "Climb up."
"Who are you? Where is Professor Grey?" a child asked, seeing the unfamiliar face of someone who looked barely twenty years old.
"He is not coming. I am stuck here with you. So don't waste my time, and climb up." The young man stretched his arms and yawned lazily, barely keeping his eyes open.
"You-" A few students wanted to ask more questions, but they quickly stopped when they saw another student taking the lead and climbing the rope stairs.
They also rushed forward, not wanting to be left behind. Soon, there were no questions, and everyone was doing as they were asked.
Most of the students climbed up the stairs, with only a few left behind.
"Do I have to give you a separate invitation?" the young man asked the children, who proudly wore the insignia of the founding family members.
"Are you also a Professor?" A child asked, his gaze filled with cold pride.
"Did you think I was here to kidnap you all? Geez, this is why I hate dealing with children. I could've been sleeping, instead of wasting my time here. If only it wasn't for the Dean."
The man scratched the back of his head. "All I did was to steal the body of a dead Professor? Was there really a need for making me babysit you idiots as punishment?"
"Steal what?" The child looked weirdly, wondering if he heard what he thought he heard.
"If you are done interrogating me, then get up. I will leave you all behind after thirty seconds." The man didn't answer, and issued his last warning.
"Tch, fine." The boy didn't use the rope to climb. He jumped high, and using his own raw strength, landed inside the battleship. His Soul Beast followed behind.
Behind him, a Soul Beast picked up a little girl. He carried the girl on his shoulders, and flew into the sky, landing inside the battleship as well.
The high ranking students also entered one after another. None of them used the rope ladder, as it was a sign of weakness for them.
The last person left on the ground beside the young professor was Elias, who was still surprised to see the familiar face.
The person before him was his second brother Elten. He was the one responsible for them in this test? It meant he was coming to earth with them?
He didn't know how it was going to affect his plans related to earth and creating a new identity separate from Elias Ashborn.
"Little brother, I heard you did some really interesting things in my absence." Elten approached Elias now that he was alone with him.
"Did father make you take charge of this trip?" Elias asked, not believing that his appearance here was merely a coincidence.
Was he sent here to save Dreke from him? He didn't put this scheme beyond his father, since threatening him didn't work.
"You don't have to worry about this. It's been a long time since I talked to father. The only reason I am here is because of that b-, I mean because of the Dean."
"Because you stole the corpse of the Professor that I killed?"
"That's right. I took a short vacation after stealing the corpse, and turned it into an undead. Even if that crazy woman wants it back, she can't take it now."
"To punish me, she assigned me this annoying responsibility. I am sure that woman would've given me more punishments, but she was distracted in search of the new Inheritor of the Ice Phoenix Flames."
Elten was frustrated that he had to babysit a group of kids, but he was also a little pleased that his little brother was in the group.
Finally he could see just what his little brother was capable of. So far, he had done quite a few things that surprised him, and made him look forward to his future path.
"If I was here when the tomb appeared, I would have tried to send you inside. I'm sure you could have inherited the flames. What a missed opportunity."
He placed his hand on Elias's hands, and ruffled his hair. "I wonder which lucky person got the flames. If I find him, I really should..."
Elias raised his head, thinking that his brother was going to talk about recruiting that person. Unfortunately, his next words shocked him.
"I really should find a way to kill him. Ice Phoenix Flames are the best weapon against the Undead. That person holds something that can become my weakness."
He doesn't mind saying his thoughts out loud, especially before Elias.
He didn't think that the child was going to tell others these things, especially since he hadn't done anything bad for the child. And even if others knew about it, what could they even do to him? He was Elten freaking Ashborn.
"You should keep your eyes open, little brother. If you find the Inheritor of the Ice Phoenix Flames, don't forget to inform me, alright?"
Elias was shaken to his core, but he didn't reveal his true thoughts. He simply nodded. However, his mind was truly in a mess.
His trip to earth was the first step in creating a new identity that would belong to the Inheritor of the flames. And now the person leading them for this trip, was the worst person possible for his plans.
"Good child." Elten grabbed Elias's hand, and flew towards the battleship. He entered the battleship, and the gate closed.
In another part of the realm, another battleship picked up the first year students of the Creator Class, and left the realm for earth.
