Legacy of the Sabretooth

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Rebirth

Wei Ke was awakened by a sudden, intense pain in his head while he was sleeping. He thought it was just a nightmare, but the pain only worsened after he woke up, accompanied by a strong smell of blood.

"My head hurts...! Ah... is this... blood?!"

Instinctively, he tried to touch the back of his head where the pain was coming from, but his hand came away wet and sticky: blood. However, there was no visible wound, and the intense pain began to fade quickly.

As he looked around, he realized he was in a small, dark room, illuminated only by a faint candle. There was a broken bowl on the floor and a short staircase leading to a closed wooden door. His hands were chained to the wall, with chains that limited his movements to about a meter around a stone bed.

Pulling on the chains, he confirmed they were genuine iron. But something else caught his attention: his hands seemed smaller and paler than he remembered. Moreover, his visual perspective was different, as if he had become a teenager of about ten years old. And from what he could see, he was now a white boy.

"Did I time travel? But this situation doesn't seem good at all."

However, he soon realized it wasn't that simple. Fragments of memories began to surface in his mind.

His name was now Victor, a teenager from Texas, USA. His father, Clyde, was a retired military officer who had participated in the Second Seminole War. After retiring, he used his savings to settle in Florida as a plantation owner. Clyde was a man who loved his wife and two sons, despite suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder due to the war.

Everything changed on his younger son Luther's 13th birthday. A fight between the brothers over food awakened Victor's mutant gene and feral nature. In a fit of rage, Victor bit and killed his younger brother, claiming it was just "playing." Clyde, already on the verge of a breakdown, buried his younger son and chained Victor in the basement, pulling out the sharp teeth that had killed Luther.

However, Victor's mutant healing factor caused his teeth to grow back, leading Clyde to believe his son was possessed by a demon. Every day, he would go down to the basement to pull out Victor's teeth with pliers, convinced it would drive the demon out.

"I've already lost one son, I won't lose another!"

In a time without anesthesia, being subjected to this daily torture was anything but pleasant. Victor, still young and unable to properly defend himself, was always overpowered by his father. This time, the hammer blow meant to knock him out was too strong, and Victor lost consciousness, allowing Wei Ke to take over his body.

After pulling out Victor's teeth, Clyde left the basement to drink, but found there was no more alcohol at home. He then sent his wife, Mrs. Clyde, to town to buy more, leaving Victor alone in the basement.

It was at this moment that Wei Ke, now Victor, woke up. He found himself chained, with only a burning candle by his side. As he assimilated Victor's memories, he began to worry about his parents in his previous life. As an only child, he had been raised with great effort and now wondered how they would cope with his absence.

As he reflected on this, the basement door opened, and Mrs. Clyde entered, carrying food. She was visibly frightened but still approached Victor cautiously.

"Victor, are you okay? I brought you some food."

"Mom?"

Mrs. Clyde's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. He looked at her, and his memories merged with Victor's. He realized that, from that moment on, he was Victor Clyde.

"Let me go, Mom."

Mrs. Clyde, already fragile from fear and guilt, responded hesitantly:

"I... I can't. He's too strong, he'll..."

Victor then looked directly at her, showing his sharp teeth that had grown back.

"No, Mom. Don't be afraid of him. You should be afraid of me!"

Mrs. Clyde, terrified, fled the basement, leaving the door open. Victor seized the opportunity to try to escape, but the iron chains were too strong. As he struggled to break free, his father appeared at the door, blocking the moonlight.

"It seems you still haven't learned your lesson, demon! I'll have to teach you again."

"Oh, crap! This isn't going to end well."

At the sudden appearance of Old Cleid, Victor quickly dropped the chain in his hand. His hands pressed against the stone bed, his thighs bent, his hips tilted, and his eyes fixed on the other man's tall figure.

As Cliffe Sr. descended the last flight of stairs, Victor lunged toward his father.
