Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly

Darius kept his eyes on the Izan wolf knowing that he was dealing with something that could end his life in a split second. 

Unlike the smaller Izan wolves he faced earlier the Alpha's are strange anomalies that would rarely come out, but then in front of him was an Alpha. 

'I don't know what this thing is going to do, but I know that it's not going to keep looking at me like I'm its friend.' Darius kept his eyes on the Alpha; he knew that there was a chance it would pounce at any given time. 

Azree buzzes up for some reason, "Warning, I sense high threat signals coming from the Alpha. Be careful, Izan Alphas are known to be powerful ranking as S-classed monsters." 

Darius swallowed a lump, he was looking at the Alpha in front of him and knew that there was no way he would have been able to beat the monster in front of him if it was still weeks ago. 

"Okay, I don't know if you can increase my strength for one more time. That would be helpful and I know.." 

Azree cut him off, "I am sorry Darius but I can't increase your strength until this Alpha is taken down. Failure to defeat it with the strength you possess currently then you will perish." 

Darius felt his soul leave his body, "What in the world are you talking about?! I can't use my increase and why is that?!" 

"You have currently exhausted the opportunity to use it, until you defeat the Alpha you won't be able to use it." Azree gave Darius a sharp response, it was clear that he would be losing most of his body parts to the fight. 

The Alpha began growling as it locked eyes with Darius, Darius looked up and all he could think of was the vicious beast in front of him. 

'There is no doubt to it, this beast is going to kill me! I have to make sure that there is no." Before Darius could gather his thoughts together, he looked up to see the Alpha had launched for him. 

He instinctively dodged the attack, but he was grazed a bit. Darius prepared to fight the beast this time with his strength. 

"Come on! I ain't dying here!" Darius said as he turned to rush for the wolf but then when he was about to hit it. 

The Alpha let out a deadly howl, the waves from the howl pushed Darius back. He landed with a thud, Darius was shocked when he saw that there was no way he would have thought that the Wolf would pull out something like that from his gear. 

"What in the world was that?" Darius staggered as he stood up to face the wolf but he was not sure what he was going to be expecting next from it. 

"Alphas can turn their howls into deadly weapons that can kill the opponent." Azree gave him the answer he needed, Darius didn't want the answer but knew that there was no way he would be able to stand a chance against the Alpha. 

"Way to boost my confidence there, buddy." He kept his eyes on the wolf, he didn't know what was going to happen but he was going to prepare for the worst "Here goes nothing," Darius took his stance, he looked at the wolf knowing that there was no way he would be letting him walk freely like that he was not going to let anything pin him down like that. 

Darius knew that there was a chance he would be killed if he made a mistake and was not careful, he was going to lose his life for sure and there was nothing he was going to be able to do about it. 

Darius was looking at the Alpha, he knew that the only way he was going to be able to land a blow was if he was fast enough to land a blow on its head with a huge impact. He would be able to take down the beast in front of him, he was not going to take the chance of letting him use the blast again. 

"Okay!" Darous dashed for the Alpha, he was not going to take chances, he was faster than the average human but the Alpha was able to keep his eyes on Darius following his every step. 

Darius knew that he was taking a risk trying to make sure that there was a chance for him to land the simplest blow on the Alpha he would be able to do something with it but then he was not going to be given the chance that easily. 

The Alpha seemed to be timing all his movements and it was not something he would be able to handle like that. The only way he would be able to handle the onslaught was if he was going to give the Alpha all his strength in multiple blows making sure that there was no way for him to even think of making it possible with the way the Alpha kept pushing him back. 

'I don't have much strength left in me, I want to make sure that there is no way for this wolf to land a blow on me.' Darius concentrated all his energy on his fists looking at the Alpha in front of him he calculated all the moves he would make. 

"Come on!" Darius said charging for the Alpha, he didn't know much about the beast in front of him but he knew that there was no way he would lose himself. 

But the moment he walked close to the creature, he felt something off. Darius decided to shrug it off and make sure that he would take care of the threat. 

The Alpha's eyes began glowing, it looked at Darius with a fierce gaze. Darius felt something odd in his bones, out of instinct he took cover trying to avoid the attack the wolf was preparing. 

The Alpha let out a stronger howl but this one was more direct and it had more power than the others. 

It shattered the pillars behind Darius causing a hole in the wall there. Darius was filled with fear when he saw what happened. 

"What in the world is going on with this wolf?!" Darius said as he charged for the Alpha, he wasn't going to back down because of one attack. 

The Alpha seemed agitated, it kept itself on defense trying to make sure that there was no way Darius would come closer to it. 

Darius focusing all the energy and power in his body to his fists launched an attack on the wolf. 

Darius moved fast trying to make sure that he would not let the wolf land anything on him. He was pushing all his mana and energy into his fist trying to make it a powerful blow that would be able to hurt the Alpha. 

Darius didn't want to make a mistake when he was going to be hitting the Alpha, he wanted to make sure that it would be precise and accurate. 

After charging up, Darius positioned himself at a good angle. He jumped up high, looking down on the Alpha. With his fists clenched and ready to strike, he pounced on the Alpha. "Here goes nothing, Death Blow!"

Darius' attack landed on the Alpha's head, shattering the creature's skull. Darius watched as the Alpha slumped to the floor. He smiled when he saw that the creature had not moved. 

'Congratulations, you can now absorb the Alpha's mana core,' Azree came out after Darius had taken down the Alpha, he was shocked that Azree told him to absorb the Alpha's mana core. It was something he saw as impossible, but Azree was telling him to do it.

"What would happen if I absorb it into my body?" Dariys was looking at the mana core in front of him, it was glowing showing that it was one worthy to be called an A-ranked beast. 

"Your wounds will be healed and you will gain a significant boost that will be useful for you to clear the dungeon." Azree gave him a quick answer, Darius was looking at the core. He was not sure that it was the best idea but he knew that there was a chance it would kill him if he was not careful with the way he was going to absorb the core. 

"Here goes nothing," Darius said as he bent to absorb the core, he placed his hand on it immediately he felt surge of energy going through him. 

'What in the world is going on here?" Darius was shocked to see that there was something like this happening to him, he could feel the power surging through his veins from his hand to his spine. 

The Core was glowing bright red, but after Darius touched it the color went to Blue. 

"Absorption complete, your health and stamina will be restored so you can be able to handle the next boss." Azree gave him an update on what he was doing. 

Darius swallowed hard, "Did you say next boss?"
