- General Information

Ten years ago, the world had changed overnight. Without warning, rifts began to open across the globe—portals to other dimensions teeming with monsters. These dungeons varied in size and complexity, but they all had one thing in common: they radiated mana, a previously unknown energy source that defied the laws of physics.

Mana was a double-edged sword. It fueled the monsters that poured out of the dungeons, but it also awakened latent abilities in humans, giving rise to the first generation of STARS. These individuals possessed powers beyond comprehension, from elemental manipulation to enhanced physical attributes. They became humanity's last line of defense.

STARS

STARS are those who have awakened superhuman abilities, standing as humanity's shield against the monstrous threats of the dungeons. The name "STAR" was given to them by the world as a symbol of hope in an era of chaos.

Each STAR possesses unique abilities, ranging from elemental control to supernatural skills. Their power is ranked from E-Rank (the weakest) to SS-Rank (the strongest publicly known). These rankings determine their effectiveness in dungeon raids and monster battles.

While STARS are widely seen as heroes, their lives are filled with relentless dangers, responsibilities, and often political entanglements. Some become symbols of justice, while others are consumed by greed and power struggles.

Demonic Humans

Those unable to awaken naturally sometimes turn to forbidden methods to gain power. These individuals, known as Demonic Humans, forsake their morality in exchange for strength. Their powers, often dark and volatile, make them stronger than similarly ranked STARS.

For instance, a D-Rank Demonic Human far surpasses a D-Rank STAR, and this disparity remains true at every level. Their strength is accompanied by an insatiable hunger for more, making them ruthless and dangerous adversaries.

[The NightFall]

The Nightfall is a shadowy organization comprised entirely of Demonic Humans, united by their unrelenting thirst for power, wealth, immortality, and destruction. They operate in secrecy, shrouded in myth and fear, with their ultimate goal remaining an enigma.

Despite their global influence, no one has successfully uncovered the location of their hidden bases, which are rumored to exist in every corner of the world.

To Akira, The Nightfall represents the pinnacle of everything he seeks to destroy—his number one target in his quest for vengeance.

[The Dungeons]

The Dungeons

Dungeons are self-contained worlds, each with its own ecosystem. They are categorized by difficulty:

E-tier: Weak monsters, ideal for beginners.

D-tier: More dangerous, requiring basic combat skills.

C-tier: Challenging, often requiring teams.

B-tier: Deadly for the unprepared.

A-tier: Reserved for elite hunters.

S-tier: Almost mythic, with overlords guarding them.

SS-TIER ONLY S-RANKS AND ABOVE CAN ENTER

BLACK DIAMOND- Will revealed in Story

While some dungeons remain static, others evolve—rare, unpredictable, and lethal. These sentient dungeons cause the highest STAR casualties but offer unparalleled rewards.

[Evolved monsters from evolved dungeons sometimes only have their strength evolve, sometimes all their abilities, or occasionally just one of their skills, depending on how the changed mana affects them."

Dungeons allow unlimited entrants, but escape is impossible without clearing them. Failure to clear a dungeon in time triggers an Outbreak, unleashing its monsters into the outside world, often with catastrophic consequences.

Once the dungeon is cleared it will close and never appear again but only special types of dungeon doesn't close even after they are cleared.

Dungeons from E-rank to SS-rank contain a variety of monsters, with the rank of the monsters depending on the dungeon's level:

E-rank Dungeons: Contain only E-rank monsters, with the boss being E-rank.

D-rank Dungeons: Contain E-rank monsters, with the boss being D-rank.

C-rank Dungeons: Contain D-rank monsters, with the boss being C-rank.

B-rank Dungeons: Contain C-rank monsters, with the boss being B-rank.

A-rank Dungeons: Contain B-rank monsters, with the boss being A-rank.

S-rank Dungeons: Contain A-rank monsters, with the boss being S-rank.

The difficulty increases as the dungeon rank goes higher, with stronger monsters and more dangerous bosses at each level.

The Awakened and Their Growth

Awakened individuals have the potential to grow stronger over time, unlike ordinary humans. Through relentless training, frequent dungeon raids, and mastery over their mana, they refine their abilities and ascend through the ranks.

However, none of the Awakened possess a system like Akira's.

It's not wrong to say that the purpose of all awakened is to clear dungeons.

[Awakened doesn't have a fixed rank they can grow stronger as long as they train and experience diffciul situations]

[What helps them grow faster]

Dungeon Raids: Fighting monsters and clearing higher-tier dungeons yielded vast amounts of mana, which could be absorbed into their bodies, enhancing their capabilities.

Skill Mastery: Refining existing abilities through practice and experimentation often unlocked advanced techniques, enabling Stars to push the limits of their power.

Mana Training: Focused meditation and mana manipulation exercises allowed hunters to increase their mana reserves and control, a vital skill for higher-ranked individuals.

Artifacts and Relics: Dungeons sometimes contained rare items that temporarily or permanently boosted a awakened's strength. These artifacts were highly sought after, often causing fierce competition between guilds.

However, a majority of Awakened individuals stagnate at A-Rank, unable to progress further. Reaching S-Rank and beyond is rare, requiring extreme experiences or sheer luck. Only those who have endured the worst—or those blessed by fate—can break through this invisible ceiling.

The Ranking System

The emergence of STARS necessitated a way to measure their strength. Thus, the Hunter Ranking System was born, categorizing individuals and monsters alike based on their mana levels and combat capabilities:

E-Rank: Capable of taking on minor threats. Often entry-level hunters.

D-Rank: The backbone of most guilds, skilled enough to handle low-to-mid-tier dungeons.

C-Rank: Experienced STARS with specialized abilities. Often leaders of smaller teams.

B-Rank: Exceptional STARS, able to tackle high-tier dungeons. These individuals start gaining public recognition.

A-Rank: Elite STARS, capable of single-handedly defeating powerful monsters.

S-Rank: Legends in their own right, their power is enough to turn the tide of battles. Few reach this level.

SS-Rank: Several stronger than S- Ranks The pinnacle of human power—or so people thought. Hunters of this rank are walking disasters.

National-Level: A tier beyond comprehension. Only whispered about in awe and fear. These individuals possess power that rivals natural disasters themselves.
