Chapter 337: Academy is in Danger Part-6
"How did you get out of the prison?" a hooded figure demanded, his voice cutting through the gentle breeze that swept over the rooftop where they stood. The moonless light barely illuminated their forms, casting long, ominous shadows.
"That's not the important thing, Alaric!" the other hooded figure retorted, his tone laced with irritation. "I've been helping you for nearly a decade, and this is how you repay me? By abandoning me at the first sign of trouble?"
Alaric clicked his tongue, "If you're just going to spout nonsense, I'm leaving. I didn't see you, so this is your only chance to escape before she kills you, Kennedy," he said, turning on his heel to leave.
"I DID EXACTLY WHAT YOU TOLD ME!" Kennedy's shout echoed in the night, filled with anger and desperation.
Alaric halted his steps, a frown etching deeper into his forehead, "It's not like you did it for free, right? I gave you something in return, didn't I?" His voice was cold, devoid of sympathy.
Kennedy gritted his teeth, his frustration palpable. "Yes, what you gave me was nothing short of a miracle.... knowledge about the advanced technology used in ancient times. But do you think that's enough compensation for all I've done?"
"Yes" Alaric said with a frown and added, "I fulfilled my end of the bargain."
"Alaric, you don't understand," Kennedy's voice took on a desperate edge, "I'm so close to perfecting 'The Thing' With just a little more help, we can achieve what we've been striving for all this time!"
Alaric snorted dismissively. "After all these years? That was your idea, to begin with. I just wanted to use it for my gain, but I've already lost interest."
Kennedy's eyes glinted with dangerous energy, "Yes, my creation... That 'Thing' can even defeat a Sovereign. You know that's why you agreed to help me in the first place, right? So you could have the power to hold that old hag—ahem, that beautiful Principal—in your arms."
Alaric paused, his expression unreadable. "And as I said, I've lost interest in your idea," he replied, shaking his head.
"A-Alaric, please, just give me one last chance, please!" Kennedy pleaded, desperation clear in his voice.
"Tsk, you look disgusting," Alaric spat, his face twisted in annoyance.
Kennedy's face turned bright red with barely suppressed rage. He pointed to the huge bell in the distance, "When this bell rings... you will face the consequences of your actions, Alaric.
"Are you... threatening me?" Alaric asked, a dangerous frown forming.
Kennedy smirked, his confidence growing, "What if I am?"
Alaric stared at him for a long moment before glancing at the sky and sighing, "So it has come to this..." he thought. In the blink of an eye, both Kennedy and Alaric disappeared from the rooftop.
The next thing Kennedy knew, they were high above the clouds, Alaric's hand wrapped tightly around his neck.
"Arrhh!"
Alaric stared blankly at Kennedy, his voice cold and indifferent, "I've helped you countless times, even when your disgusting hands touched female students. I helped you escape... and now you threaten me, filth?"
Kennedy struggled, coughing and gasping for air, "F-Filth? Then what about you? Aren't you filthier than me?" he choked out, his face turning a deeper shade of red.
Alaric's grip tightened momentarily before he released Kennedy's neck, letting him plummet through the sky.
'Oh! I forgot to ask how he escaped from the prison... Well, whatever....' Alaric thought before disappearing.
.....
.....
Now, Alaric stood over the cold, dead body of Kennedy lying on the examination table. His mind raced with questions, his thoughts a chaotic whirl.
"If he is dead, then who is able to use this technology?" Alaric frowned deeply, his eyes scanning the lifeless form.
He knew he had killed Kennedy, but the mechanical spiders... he was sure it was created by Kennedy.
"Does he have another partner? Tsk, shit!" Alaric suddenly cursed, realizing he had overlooked something crucial, "I should have interrogated him before killing him," he thought, his annoyance growing.
Even Alaric didn't have the power to escape from the Academy's prison, so someone must have been inside to help Kennedy.
Alaric bit his lip, his mind working furiously, "The person who helped Kennedy must be the cause of this chaos," he reasoned. If this person knew about Alaric's involvement, he needed to find and eliminate them before anyone else could capture him.
Just then, a sudden voice jolted him from his thoughts.
"Vice Principal!!"
Alaric turned sharply to see a professor entering the room, his face alight with excitement. "Professor Delphine said we could save everyone!" the professor announced, barely able to contain his enthusiasm.
.....
...
Alaric hurriedly walked towards the stadium, his steps quick and purposeful. As he approached, he saw Aether engaged in some sort of chaotic activity on a table.
"Tsk, what's going on here?" Alaric demanded, his voice cutting through the murmur of the gathered crowd as he stood before the group.
Delphine was about to respond when Aether, with a dazed focus, turned and flashed an amused smile, "Yo~ Motherfucker! Still alive? That's a pity~"
"!!!!!!!"
The stadium fell into a pin-drop silence.... more profound than when Alaric had commanded the students to stay quiet earlier.
The atmosphere was thick with tension, and the students felt their hairs stand on end in fear!
Aqualina and Kai's faces turned ashen with dread and disbelief.
Alaric clenched his teeth, barely able to contain his rage. He glanced at Delphine, who nodded in understanding before she began to explain the situation in detail.
"I see... So, a servant now has more knowledge than an elite student?" Alaric asked, his face a mix of amusement and irritation.
Aether grinned. "More knowledgeable than some random Vice Principal, I suppose~"
"..."
Everyone drew a sharp breath, the already cold atmosphere growing icier.
'He has some guts...' Everyone thought and some even,

"Ahem!" Delphine cleared her throat and stepped forward. "We have located the source of the artifact that created this dome."
It took a moment for Alaric to process this information. He nodded and turned his attention to the Academy Map. The map displayed four major circles covering each corner of the academy, forming a Venn diagram that encompassed the entire campus.
Alaric scrutinized the map, noting the four intersections of the circles, 'They must have entered through those gaps' he thought as he glanced at Victor, Aether and Delphine, scratching his head, "Now what?"
Before Delphine could respond, Aether spoke up with a smug expression. "Vice Principal can't figure it out?" he asked, his tone dripping with amusement.
Alaric's frustration peaked, and he nearly tore the map in his hands if not for Delphine's stern glare directed at Aether. She then addressed Alaric, "According to his calculations, the place where the four circles intersect is most likely to house the artifact."
Alaric's eyes widened as he traced the intersections on the map, "The... Stadium?" he mumbled, glancing around at the gathered students.
"B-But we searched around the place, there were no objects here!" One of the professors interjected, his face serious and concerned.
Aether nodded but then posed a question, "What about the students?"
"Huh? They would never do tha—"
Alaric cut off the professor, his voice firm and authoritative. "Search them immediately!" he commanded... He knew there was a traitor!
