Konoha: Reforge the glory of Uchiha!

Chapter 14: ch14

"You... you..." Uchiha Kagami pointed at Uchiha Nan, feeling a chill down his spine. It was terrifying to realize that someone could wear a mask for over ten years, deceiving everyone in Konoha, and that person was an Uchiha from his own clan.

Uchiha Nan looked at Kagami with strange eyes, as if Kagami's throat was blocked, preventing him from speaking properly.

"Explain! How did you know about Lord Tobirama's death?" Kagami demanded, his eyes fierce. He had been unjustly blamed because of Nan and felt like a fool for having been deceived by Nan's facade for so long.

"What gives you the right to question me? You're just a dog of Senju Tobirama! A dog that abandoned its master!" Nan retorted with disdain, showing no respect for Kagami.

No matter how righteous Kagami tried to be, it was useless without strength. In the past, Nan acted as an outsider in the clan, dealing with many who opposed him.

Now, aiming for the position of Konoha's Hokage, Nan had to assert dominance within the Uchiha clan, silencing any dissent.

Kagami's face turned grim. The unmasked Nan resembled the hawkish members of their clan, but his insults were even worse.

When did I become Tobirama's dog? I'm his apprentice!

Kagami trembled with rage, Nan's words cutting deeply.

"I suspect Tobirama's death is linked to you!" Kagami shouted. Nan's deception of Tobirama, himself, and all of Konoha was unfathomable. Such top-secret knowledge about Tobirama's death couldn't have reached Nan without involvement.

"Slander! You're slandering me! I'm the captain of the Uchiha Security Department. I've shed blood for Konoha and earned my merits!" Nan exclaimed, almost screaming. If he had the means to kill Tobirama, he'd have done it sooner.

Kagami looked like a loyal dog, yet he was trying to pin the blame on Nan, who decided to act first.

"Watch out!" Nan shouted, forming seals. A ninja sword appeared, crackling with blue lightning as it sliced through the air.

"Shun Lei Flash!" In Nan's eyes, three tomoe spun rapidly, utilizing his Sharingan's dynamic vision.

Clang!

Lightning clashed with sparks as Kagami blocked with a kunai. The ground cracked beneath him, and he quickly formed a one-handed seal.

Body Flicker Technique!

Kagami had no desire to engage in close combat with a swordsman like Nan, who had claimed countless lives with his blade.

"The response is quick," Nan thought. He didn't expect to kill Kagami instantly, but that didn't matter.

"You really have a problem!" Kagami's voice was icy, his eyes filled with murderous intent. It seemed to him that Nan intended to kill him to silence him.

"Fire Release: Great Fire Dragon Technique!" Kagami unleashed a blazing fire, forming a dragon over ten meters long that soared into the air before charging at Nan.

Interesting!

Nan tightened his grip on his sword, grinning as lightning coursed through his body, enhancing his speed and strength.

With a swift motion, Nan dashed toward the fire dragon, slicing it in half with his sword, causing it to explode in a shower of sparks.

"Die!" Nan appeared beside Kagami, his sword flashing as Kagami retreated.

Nan's extreme speed and fierce sword techniques targeted Kagami's vital points, exacerbating his unhealed injuries.

No, I can't keep this up.

Kagami resisted Nan's onslaught, forming a hand seal. When their Sharingan locked eyes, he executed his plan.

"Ninja Art: Body Binding!"

Nan's eyes dulled, the tomoe in his Sharingan halted, and his sword lowered as he froze.

"Hoo hoo hoo," Kagami panted heavily, blood trickling from his mouth. The initial attack had caused internal injuries, and he held his breath to endure.

Nan's sword skills were terrifyingly potent. Kagami knew a prolonged fight would end in his death, but fortunately, he managed to immobilize Nan with genjutsu.

I can't rest yet. My genjutsu won't hold Nan for long. I need to restrain him and hand him over to Uzumaki Mito-sama to clear my name.

Determined, Kagami approached Nan despite his injuries.

"Yan Hui!" Nan suddenly attacked, catching Kagami off guard. The blade struck Kagami, leaving a gaping wound on his chest, exposing bone and intestines.

"You didn't really think I was under genjutsu, did you? I've been wary of it for a long time!" Nan's mocking voice reached Kagami, who realized too late.

Fans once speculated about a connection between Kagami and Uchiha Shisui, claiming their genjutsu prowess was unparalleled. But Nan was always prepared for such tricks.

"You... you!!" Kagami tried to speak but couldn't hold on. His eyes grew heavy, and he finally lost consciousness.

Nan stood over Kagami, satisfied with his handiwork. His sword skills had improved.

Though injured, Kagami was spared, allowing him to return to Sarutobi Hiruzen and cause further chaos.

Nan couldn't kill him outright. Killing a clan member was unthinkable; he still aspired to be the clan leader.

A green glow emanated from Nan's hand as he used medical ninjutsu to stop Kagami's bleeding, bandaging him to ensure he would survive until the family's medical ninja could assist.
