Chapter 56: 056 Jounin Exam, Mount +1
The howling wind was so cold it could freeze people into ice sculptures. If ordinary people were here, they'd likely freeze to death in less than an hour.
Simu's coat of justice rustled as he slowly opened the scroll in his hand. It had the large [Yang] character written on it.
"That means we need to find the team holding the [Yin] scroll and defeat them"
Minato nodded. "It's not too late. Let's go."
The assessment would only last one day, and the Snowstorm Mountain Range was huge
This rule made it clear that players had to deal with attacks from other villages while rushing forward at full speed. It tested not only their combat ability but also their endurance and ability to manage their stamina. And, of course, luck played a role.
If a team met others from their own village early in the game, an alliance could help them achieve twice the results with half the effort.
Simu looked around.
"Looks like someone isn't going to let us pass."
Simu turned his head and saw a massive black shadow emerging from the snow-covered forest.
It was a giant bear, standing about five or six meters tall!
Minato quickly pulled out a kunai, creating some distance, and said, "This is a giant frost bear, native to the Iron Kingdom. It's very fierce."
"Really?" Simu said, still standing where he was.
Seeing Simu and the others, the giant white bear charged forward with a roar.
It was the king of this forest, and it wanted to crush these little humans.
Simu glanced at the charging bear, then slowly pulled his hand out of his pocket.
He raised his palm toward the bear, activating his Armament Haki.
A powerful force surged from him, building into a massive impact that struck the bear.
The giant bear who jumped in front of Simu was taken aback for a moment, then rolled his eyes and fell to the side.
The bear's huge body creates a huge pit on the snow.
This earth-shattering shot fell in the eyes of Minato and Kushina.
Simu raised his palm, and then the giant bear in front of him fell down from the air?
What just happened?
"Simu, is this a new ninjutsu?" Minato asked suspiciously.
Why is this guy's ninjutsu so strange?
"It's a martial art, you know, the Gentle Fist of the Hyuga clan, it's similar to that."
Simu continued casually
Minato thought about it for a moment.
The Hyuga clan did have air-based attacks, but how had Simu done it?
Could it have been something Lindy taught him?
Kushina also realized this, and her expression turned serious. "Simu, when did you learn this from Lindy?"
Simu paused, confused. Did I say I learned this from Lindy?
Simu quickly cleared his throat and said, "This kind of thing, you can see it for yourself. What's the problem?"
He kicked the bear with his foot.
"Hey, stop pretending! Get up if you're not dead, or I'll roast you."
It seemed the bear understood Simu's words.
The giant bear, which had been playing dead, quickly got up, realizing it was in danger.
If it had taken any longer, Simu might have turned the situation into a distraction to cook the bear and divert Kushina's attention.
"Woo~"
The Frost Bear, once startled in the forest, instantly became Simu's obedient companion.
The bear's snowy, shaggy fur was perfect for keeping warm, so Simu, Kushina, and Minato were all very comfortable as they rode on it.
Simu lay on the bear, feeling as if he were at home.
Minato sighed. "Is it really okay for us to be so relaxed during a competition?"
Noticing that both Simu and Kushina had ignored him, Minato thought for a moment, then decided to lie down as well.
And so, they continued their journey at a leisurely pace.
….
On the other side, the Uchiha team was in a life-or-death situation.
Twelve Cloud Shinobi stood firmly in their way, with Troy leading the charge.
Uchiha Fugaku looked at the Chūnin in front of him and said coldly,
"I didn't expect Kusagakure and Takigakure to join forces with Cloud Shinobi," Fugaku said coldly.
Indeed, not all twelve of the people in front of him were from the Land of Thunder. Two teams came from Kusagakure and Takigakure.
Fugaku wasn't very surprised. These two smaller nations had always been close to the Land of Thunder.
During the Second Ninja World War, they even allowed the Land of Thunder to use their territory to launch attacks on Konoha.
What puzzled Uchiha Fugaku even more was how they had managed to come together in such a short time.
As if sensing Fugaku's confusion, Troy, the leader, took out a glass bottle containing magnetic sand.
He poured the sand out, and under his control, it moved around him like obedient little fish.
"Do you understand now?"
"As long as they carry the magnetic sand, I can find their location quickly," Troy said, reaching for the giant shuriken on his back.
"You're the famous Uchiha genius, Uchiha Fugaku. If I defeat you here, my reputation in the village will surpass that woman's."
Uchiha Fugaku narrowed his eyes, and his pupils turned red. The three tomoe began to spin slowly.
"Sharingan, three magatama, open!"
