Chapter 32: 032 Kushina’s Kidnapping, Chase
The few strands of red hair lay quietly, like dawn breaking in the dark night—extremely dazzling.
Simu's expression softened as he picked up the hair and examined it closely.
Once he confirmed it was indeed Kushina's, the killing intent in his eyes intensified.
Without hesitation, he raised his palm, and a brilliant laser shot from his fingertips into the sky.
Not far away, Minato saw the light and quickly rushed toward Simu.
Simu transformed into a flash and raced along the trail left by Kushina.
He needed to stop the Kumo Shinobi and their group before they reached the border.
Simu's expression was serious; he wondered if the world would change because of his arrival.
"Kumo Shinobi, you've really pissed me off."
Meanwhile, the Kumo Shinobi who had taken Kushina and Lindy hostage were rushing toward the border at full speed.
However, Kushina, with the blood of the Uzumaki clan, was the first to regain consciousness.
After leaving enough marks, she began to fight back, trying to slow down the Kumo Shinobi's group.
"You little bitch, you're really annoying me!"
"One more move and I'll kill you!"
The Kumo Shinobi had dropped their camouflage.
A bald man with a scar on his face pressed a sharp kunai to Kushina's neck, a murderous glint in his eyes.
If they were caught by Konoha, they would be in serious trouble. "Just calm down; it wouldn't be good for us to kill her here,"
Said another Kumo Shinobi Jōnin.
This is the Jinchūriki of the Nine Tails.
If she's provoked and breaks the seal, they will all die here.
Dying here is one thing; the real problem is that all the preparations made by the Kumo Shinobi Village would be in vain.
Right now, more than a dozen teams are impersonating them, trying to distract Konoha.
They cannot afford to let those efforts go to waste.
"Humph."
Just a cold snort.
The focus changed to the leader of the group, Kumo Shinobi Elite Jōnin Leboe.
"Captain Leboe, we'll reach the border between the Land of Fire and the Land of Thunder in about 50 kilometers. Should we take a rest first?"
"Those idiots in Konoha probably haven't found our real retreat route yet."
The success of their infiltration made Leboe very disdainful of Konoha.
Tayura on the side frowned.
"If you want to rest, we should wait until we reach the Land of Thunder. Konoha isn't weak as you can see."
As a member of Konoha Anbu, Tayura has a clear understanding of Konoha's true strength.
He didn't think he could take this lightly.
"Heh, you must be afraid, right?" Leboe sneered.
A traitor like Tayura wouldn't be welcomed anywhere, but he didn't care; he just wanted to get what he wanted from the Land of Thunder.
Leboe had a rough face and a rock-like brown complexion.
A fierce cross scar marked his right eye, and his expression was as cold as iron.
"Okay, stop arguing," Leboe said, glancing at the woods behind him.
They were already hundreds of kilometers away from Konoha, making it impossible for anyone from Konoha to catch up quickly.
Most importantly, after their explosive rush, the six members present were nearly exhausted, making it difficult to continue at full speed. They needed to conserve some energy for potential battles.
Leboe quickly issued the order.
"Don't stop, but slow down. The border is approaching, and Master Ai will meet us there."
"Yes."
They had to prioritize the safety of their mission.
Ai, the next successor of Raikage, was waiting at the border with the army of Kumo Shinobi Village.
Once they reached the border, Konoha's only option to retrieve the Nine Tails Jinchūriki would be to fight the Kumo Shinobi Village.
"Help... help me..."
Kushina's vision began to blur.
Hyuga Lingyi also opened her eyes and exchanged a glance with Kushina.
In the dark night, a figure appeared in both of their minds at the same time.
Black hair, black eyes, and that expression of being both calm and asking for a beating.
No matter what happens, he seemed to panic, but deep down, he looked like he had everything under control.
What a shame...
Kushina suddenly thought that if Simu were here, he would surely find a way to save them.
She didn't know when it had started, but her feelings for Simu had grown stronger, and more dependent on him.
"Simu..."
"Mr. Simu..."
The two of them whispered silently in their hearts.
A gust of wind blew, and dark clouds covered the moon in the sky.
The night, already dim from the waning moon, lost its last ray of light.
Suddenly, it felt as if the night had been sliced apart by a sharp light.
A golden flash of light fell from the sky like a thunderbolt, blocking the path of Kumo Shinobi and their party.
"Simu!"
"Mr. Simu!"
