Knight of Magic: The Rise of Arisia

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Arrival in Arisia

Jack Thompson, an ordinary high school student, was running on the basketball court, getting ready for a crucial interschool league game for him.

He was a bit nervous, a bit excited, and also a little anxious.

As he was on his way to victory, he suddenly slipped under his feet, lost his balance, and fell forward uncontrollably.

His body slid across the floor, and sharp pain shot through his palms and knees.

At the same time, he felt a burning sensation on his right cheek, and from the corner of his eye, he seemed to see a strange flash of light.

Then, he fell into a pitch-black darkness.

As his consciousness gradually returned, the first thing he noticed was a strange and rich aroma.

It was a blend of the earthy simplicity of the soil, the freshness of the flowers and plants, and some mysterious fragrance.

His nose tickled slightly, and he couldn't help but sneeze.

When he opened his eyes, the first thing that came into view was a vast blue sky, which was completely different from the grayish backdrop in his memory.

White clouds floated in the sky like cotton candies, as if he could reach out and touch them.

The clear chirping of birds and the rustling sound of the breeze through the treetops filled his ears.

Surrounded by the melody of nature, he slowly stood up and found himself in an ancient and quaint small village.

Under his feet was a road paved with blue flagstones, and each stone had a unique texture and luster.

He couldn't help but stomp his feet lightly, and the flagstones made a dull but solid sound.

This kind of tactile experience was something he had never felt in the city.

On both sides of the road were houses made of a combination of wood and stone, and red lanterns hung under the eaves.

The houses on both sides slanted towards the middle, as if they had gone through a great baptism.

The walls were covered with unknown green vines, which intertwined with each other, just like a green tapestry carefully woven by nature.

The vines were dotted with colorful small flowers. Some petals were as soft as silk, some stamens exuded a faint sweet fragrance, and some strange little insects fluttered among the flowers.

As he walked forward, he saw a small stream meandering through the center of the village.

Next to the stream was a dam built with stones, and there was a small stone bridge spanning across it at regular intervals.

The stream flowed gently, and the stones and fish at the bottom were clearly visible.

He walked to the side of the stream, squatted down, and put his hand into the water.

The cool water flowed through his fingers, bringing a pleasant and refreshing feeling.

He saw the small fish in the stream, which were agile and colorful.

Every time he tried to reach out and touch them, the fish seemed to know his thoughts and quickly swam away, leaving only circles of ripples.

The fragrance of the soil, the scent of the flowers and plants, and that mysterious aroma filled the air, making Jack's nose tickle slightly.

Jack's eyes widened, and his eyes were full of panic and confusion.

His heart was pounding wildly in his chest, as if it was about to burst out.

"Where is this? How did I get here?"

His lips trembled, and his voice carried a trace of fear and helplessness.

His mind was in a mess, and countless thoughts were swirling frantically:

"Could it be a dream?"

"But why does it feel so real?"

"Is this a prank?"

"But who has the ability to do such a thing?"

He looked around in a panic, trying to find a trace of something familiar, but everything was so strange.

So strange that it made him feel desperate.

He felt like an orphan abandoned by the world, lonely and hopeless.

Just then, a semi-transparent blue light screen slowly appeared in front of his eyes without warning, flashing with strange symbols and words. Jack was so scared that he almost jumped up and instinctively tried to step back, but the light screen followed him like a shadow.

Jack stared intently at this suddenly appeared system panel, and the fear in his heart grew deeper. "What on earth is this? Am I really dreaming?"

He pinched his arm hard, and the intense pain made him gasp. The cruel reality told him that all of this was really happening.

His thoughts were like being caught in a thick fog, getting more and more confused. What was the use of this system panel? Why had he become the host? What was the connection between this and his arrival in this world? Countless questions filled his mind, but he couldn't find the answers.

At this moment, an old man with white hair walked towards him with slow and steady steps. The old man was wearing a brown robe embroidered with some strange symbols. Those symbols seemed to have a life of their own and sparkled under the sunlight. He was leaning on a wooden staff, and the top of the staff was carved with a mysterious pattern. Every time he took a step, the staff made a clear knocking sound when it hit the ground, as if it was telling the vicissitudes of time.

There was surprise and confusion in the old man's eyes. He looked Jack up and down and asked, "Where do you come from? Why are you dressed in such strange clothes?"

The old man's voice was deep and hoarse, as if it came from the depths of time, carrying a reassuring power.

Jack took a deep breath, trying hard to calm his trembling voice, and stammered out his experience. There was a trace of tremor in his words, and his eyes were full of anticipation, hoping that the old man could tell him that this was just an absurd dream.

When the old man said that this was the continent of Arisia, a world full of magic and wonders, Jack's mind went blank instantly.

Magic and wonders? This was too illusory for Jack to believe. It was like the plots that only existed in movies and novels. A complex mix of emotions welled up in his heart. There was a deep fear of the unknown world, for this world was full of uncertainties, and he had no idea what dangers he might encounter. At the same time, there was also a hint of indescribable excitement and anticipation. After all, which teenager didn't have a dream of adventure and strange encounters in their heart?

He knew that from this moment on, his originally ordinary life would be completely rewritten, and what awaited him would be a journey in a foreign world full of countless unknowns and challenges.

He looked at the rolling mountains in the distance and secretly swore in his heart that he must find his own place in this strange world. Even if the road ahead was full of thorns, he would still move forward bravely.
