Kidnapping the Heroine at the Start

Chapter 6: Confused? Yeah, You Should Be

"You guys coming at me one by one, or all at once?"

Ye Fan glanced around, eyes full of disdain, not taking the bodyguards seriously at all.

His years in the Middle East were spent dodging bullets and crawling through hell. Compared to those life-and-death battles, this was child's play—like a middle schooler being surrounded by a group of kindergarten kids in diapers.

What he didn't know, however, was that on the second-floor balcony, Lin Han—who had an even more ridiculous cheat than him—was watching everything unfold with an amused smile.

His expression was like that of a university professor watching a middle school talent show.

Lin Han also wanted to use this opportunity to gauge Ye Fan's current combat strength.

In the novel, Ye Fan's golden finger was essentially "Unbeatable in Combat."

If ranked in terms of power levels, he was easily S-tier.

Meanwhile, Old Six, the strongest among Lin Han's bodyguards, barely scraped by at B+.

But with protagonist plot armor, Ye Fan's actual combat ability could be two whole tiers higher than expected.

Damn novel authors and their ridiculous power-ups.

Lin Han suddenly remembered something—didn't the system say he had an S-tier bodyguard?

Where the hell was that guy?

Luo Bingyan had finished reading the dossier.

Arms crossed, she stared coldly at Ye Fan.

She was genuinely curious—what was his real motive?

Meanwhile, Old Six had finally had enough.

Seeing Ye Fan's arrogance, his patience snapped.

With a wave of his hand, twenty-plus bodyguards charged forward.

The result?

Exactly as Lin Han expected.

The courtyard erupted with screams.

Within two minutes, all twenty-plus bodyguards were groaning on the ground, completely defeated.

Ye Fan clapped the dust off his hands, smirking.

"This is it?"

Old Six's face darkened.

He had severely underestimated Ye Fan.

Not a single bodyguard had been able to last even one round.

Damn it. This guy is on a completely different level.

Inside the house, Luo Bingyan also huffed in disappointment.

She shot a sharp glare at Lin Han.

"Seriously? This is your elite security team? What a bunch of weaklings!"

Lin Han shrugged.

"It's not that my bodyguards are weak—this guy is just too damn strong."

He sighed.

"Looks like I'll have to step in and handle this myself."

Luo Bingyan snorted.

"You? You'll just get your ass kicked."

"Wouldn't that be a win for you? No need to pretend to be my girlfriend for a whole month."

Lin Han grinned, securing his gun at his waist.

At the same time, he instructed his remaining bodyguards to bring out the heavy artillery and provide backup from the shadows.

He wasn't stupid enough to walk into a fair fight.

"I'm coming with you," Luo Bingyan suddenly said.

Lin Han raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Not afraid anymore? Weren't you just saying you didn't care about my safety? You just exposed yourself."

Luo Bingyan huffed.

"Please. I just want to see what he's after."

"Uh-huh. Sure."

Lin Han extended his hand toward her.

Luo Bingyan narrowed her eyes.

"What do you think you're doing? Trying to take advantage of me?"

Lin Han sighed.

"How many times do I have to remind you? We're supposed to be a couple. If we don't act convincingly, someone might figure it out. And you know what happens if people find out we're faking this."

Luo Bingyan hesitated—she had totally forgotten about that.

Still, instead of holding his hand, she looped her arm around his.

"This works too," Lin Han said nonchalantly.

It didn't matter—as long as Ye Fan saw them like this, the show would be worth it.

As she held onto Lin Han's arm, Luo Bingyan subtly pinched his muscles.

Solid. Firm.

She squeezed harder, enjoying the feeling.

Tsk. Not bad.

"Ow—"

Lin Han winced dramatically, frowning at her.

Luo Bingyan smirked.

"What? We're a couple now. Pinching you is totally normal."

She was clearly enjoying herself.

A fake relationship?

This might not be so bad.

At the very least, she could get some payback for all the insane things Lin Han had done in the past.

Meanwhile, Ye Fan was still putting on his hero act.

"I suggest you don't resist. Just hand over Luo Bingyan peacefully."

He spoke sincerely, but of course, he knew that wasn't going to happen.

The whole point was to make this as dramatic as possible.

The bigger the fight, the more grateful Luo Bingyan would be when he "rescued" her.

Old Six weighed his options.

Rushing in for close combat was useless—so he subtly reached for his gun.

But before he could draw it—

A firm hand stopped him.

"Wait."

Old Six turned around in shock.

"Young Master?! What the hell are you doing down here?! This is dangerous!"

Then, he saw Luo Bingyan holding onto Lin Han's arm.

His jaw nearly hit the floor.

Holy sh*t.

Did… did the Young Master actually—no way—

Did he f*cking SLEEP with her already?!

That fast?!

Lin Han stepped forward, putting on his best "confused rich young master" act.

"Excuse me, but who exactly are you, and why are you making such a mess at my place?"

Ye Fan froze.

He stared at Lin Han and Luo Bingyan together, completely stunned.

What the hell is going on?!

This wasn't the script!

Luo Bingyan was supposed to be hating Lin Han, waiting for him to rescue her!

Instead—

She's holding onto him? Walking out with him?!

Ye Fan rubbed his eyes.

Am I seeing things?

What the f*ck is happening?!

For the first time in his life, Ye Fan panicked.

"Bingyan! Are you being threatened?! Don't be afraid! I'm here to rescue you!"

His voice trembled slightly, his gaze filled with desperation.

He had never been this nervous before—not even in a life-or-death battle.

Because Luo Bingyan was his.

He had already decided.

There was no way he'd let another man touch her.

"Watch your mouth!"

"Who the hell do you think you are, calling me 'Bingyan'?!"

Lin Han and Luo Bingyan spoke in perfect sync, their expressions cold and hostile.

Complete. Unplanned. Synchronization.

To Ye Fan, they looked like a perfectly united couple standing against an outsider.

And he was the outsider.

His heart—already shattered—

Was now ground into dust.

A cold wind blew through the courtyard.

The world suddenly felt like a lonely, frozen wasteland.

Lin Han wanted to laugh so badly, but he had professional training.

Instead, he kept up his act, glaring at Ye Fan with righteous fury.

"You think I'm being threatened?"

Luo Bingyan scoffed coldly.

"Who do you think you are? Some random security guard suddenly barging in here?

And you expect me to believe it's just to 'rescue' me?

Hah. Spare me."

Her eyes were icy—completely devoid of emotion.

Ye Fan's heart—

Already dust—

Was now thrown into a frying pan, doused in chili powder, and set on fire.
