Chapter 16: Hunters Have a Website
Karna squinted at the screen in front of him, struggling to grasp the purpose of the platform. "What am I looking at?"
Ashwatthama grinned, clearly excited. "Say hello to HunterTube!"
Karna raised an eyebrow. "How is this different from Utube?"
Ashwatthama leaned in closer, eager to explain. "HunterTube is specifically for hunters like us. It's where we share videos about our hunts, training tips, and anything related to the guild. There are tutorials, live streams of gate explorations, and even challenges!"
Karna frowned, trying to process the information. "So, it's like a social media platform for hunters?"
"Exactly!" Ashwatthama replied, his enthusiasm unabated. "You can follow other hunters, see their gear setups, and learn about their strategies in the field. It's a great way to network and improve."
Karna rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I see. But doesn't this invite too much exposure? We already have enough eyes on us."
"True, but it's also a way to build your brand," Ashwatthama countered. "Many hunters have become celebrities through their channels. They earn sponsorships and endorsements, turning their hunts into profit."
"Profit?" Karna echoed, intrigued. "So, you're saying hunters can make money by broadcasting their activities?"
"Yep! Some hunters even get their own merchandise lines," Ashwatthama continued, scrolling through the trending videos. "Check this out—this guy is demonstrating a new combat technique against a stone golem. He's already racked up millions of views."
Karna glanced at the video thumbnail showcasing a hunter skillfully dodging massive blows from a towering creature, then countering with precision strikes. "That is impressive. But what if someone gets hurt and it's all broadcasted?"
"Everything is uploaded with a disclaimer. It's understood that hunters take risks, and injuries can happen," Ashwatthama explained. "Viewers appreciate the authenticity. Plus, there are safety protocols for filming on site."
Karna considered this. "I suppose that makes sense. But what about our personal lives? How much do we share?"
Ashwatthama shrugged. "That's up to each hunter. Some keep their personal life private, while others share everything—training routines, gear reviews, and even day-to-day activities."
Karna sighed, unsure of where he stood on the matter. "Sounds like a double-edged sword."
"It can be," Ashwatthama agreed. "But with the right approach, it can also be a powerful tool for growth. Just think of it this way—if you ever want to collaborate with Avalynn or any other top hunters, having a presence on HunterTube is essential."
Karna nodded slowly, finally understanding the importance of the platform. "I guess it's time to adapt to the modern world then."
"Exactly!" Ashwatthama beamed. "Let's get you set up. You need a catchy username. How about 'KarnaTheUnbeaten'?"
Karna chuckled at the idea. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'm not a celebrity yet."
"Yet," Ashwatthama emphasized, smirking. "But soon enough, you might be!"
As they continued exploring HunterTube, Karna felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. The world of hunting was changing, and he would have to adapt if he wanted to keep up. With the potential for fame and fortune at stake, he couldn't ignore the possibilities that lay ahead.
Meanwhile, in another part of the city, Bhima was busy training, perfecting his new club techniques. The clang of metal against metal echoed through the training facility as he struck down training dummies with precision and force. The club, designed for versatility, allowed him to execute a range of powerful attacks.
"Keep pushing, Bhima!" Duryodhana shouted from the sidelines, observing his brother's every move. "You're getting stronger!"
Bhima grunted, focusing on the weight of the club in his hands. He had been training relentlessly, and the power surging through him felt exhilarating. With each swing, he felt more in tune with his weapon, finding new ways to utilize its unique design.
After an intense session, Bhima finally set the club down, panting heavily. "This club feels perfect! It's like an extension of my body."
Duryodhana nodded in approval. "You've improved immensely. Now we just need to work on your tactics during a real hunt. Are you ready for the next mission?"
Bhima straightened up, determination shining in his eyes. "Absolutely. I'm ready to face whatever comes our way."
As the two brothers strategized for their upcoming mission, the world of hunters continued to evolve around them, bringing new challenges and opportunities that they were eager to conquer.
Back with Karna and Arjuna as he looked at the computer.
Karna just sighed. "I think this is stupid, but I get it Hunter's in the bronze up too silver rank don't go up so high in ra- Is that Aarav".
Ashwathama laughed. "Wow even Indian Flame Aarav one of Indian 7 Platinum rank Hunter is on here".
Karna just sigehd. "This is a whiplash"
Rama them spoke as Sita was leaning on shoulder. "Hey didn't get mad that yoru mentor is more popular then you"
Karna looker at Rama. "He is not my mentor"
Sita opned her eyes. "Really?".
Karna turned towards Sita, slightly annoyed. "I mean, he's not my mentor in the traditional sense. I've only been a hunter for a couple of weeks. I'm still figuring things out."
Ashwatthama chuckled, pointing at the screen. "But look at the views he's getting! Aarav's not just popular; he's a legend among hunters. His strategies and techniques are studied in guilds across the country. You should take notes."
Karna leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. "Yeah, but that doesn't mean I'm jealous or anything. I have my own strengths."
Rama, smirking, interjected, "Jealousy? Is that what you're feeling? Come on, Karna! Just admit it; you look up to him."
Karna rolled his eyes but couldn't suppress a small smile. "I respect his skills, sure, but I'm not going to sit here and idolize him. I'll carve my own path."
Sita nudged Rama playfully. "Oh, he's definitely feeling something. Look at how defensive he's getting!"
"Right?" Ashwatthama agreed, grinning. "I mean, Aarav's the one who can literally set his hands on fire. What do you have? A bow?"
Karna shot back, "My bow has saved me countless times! It's not just a weapon; it's an extension of myself. I'm a Knight-type Hunter for a reason."
Rama shrugged, still teasing. "True, but the flashy fire techniques do grab attention. You should consider a few upgrades, maybe make your arrows explode or something!"
Karna shot him a glare. "I'll stick to my own style, thank you very much. I'm not turning into some fire-wielding show-off."
Sita laughed. "Karna, you're not going to get famous if you don't start embracing what makes you unique. Maybe you need a signature move!"
"Yeah, like 'Karna's Arrow of Destiny' or something," Ashwatthama suggested, bursting into laughter.
Karna huffed, trying to suppress his amusement. "Okay, fine, that sounds kind of cool. But it still doesn't mean I'm envious of Aarav."
Rama leaned closer, a playful glint in his eyes. "Keep telling yourself that, buddy. But the moment you start your own channel, we'll all be waiting for 'Karna's Arrow' to drop."
Karna shook his head, finally cracking a smile. "You guys are ridiculous. Let's focus on improving our skills instead of getting wrapped up in all this fame nonsense."
"Agreed," Sita said, her expression turning serious. "We all have our journeys. Aarav's path is just one of many. Your strength lies in your own unique abilities."
Karna nodded, feeling reassured. "You're right. I'll just keep training and focus on becoming the best version of myself. The rest will come in time."
Ashwatthama smiled, proud of his friend's determination. "That's the spirit! Let's hit the training grounds and show them what real hunters are made of."
As they prepared to leave, Karna took one last glance at the screen, where Aarav was demonstrating a new technique. He felt a spark of motivation ignite within him, not from envy, but from the realization that he had his own path to forge—one that he was excited to explore.
Ashwathama then looked at them. "Do you think we will ever get title's".
Karna looker at as he Rember his past life, and his own title as the hero of Charity. "How did Aarav got his"
Rama tryed to remember. "Will they are theory, but thr most popular is the believe that Aarav was the reason for the red flame flowers incident 9 years ago".
Karna raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "The red flame flowers incident? I've heard whispers about it. It was a massive crisis, right? But how could one person be responsible for something so widespread?"
Rama nodded, leaning in. "From what I gather, Aarav used his abilities to contain a rogue monster that was rampaging through the city. During that time, the flowers bloomed with his fire energy, turning the landscape into a mesmerizing display. That's where the whole 'Indian Flame' persona came from."
Ashwatthama chimed in, "Exactly! He was recognized not just for his strength but for his bravery and quick thinking. People saw him as a protector, and the title just sort of stuck. It symbolizes hope and resilience in the face of danger."
Karna pondered this. "So, his title is tied to a significant event? That makes sense. Titles are often born from actions that leave an impact on society."
Rama smirked. "You might just be onto something. If we want titles, we need to make our mark too. But it's not just about strength; it's also about how we handle challenges and the legacy we create."
Ashwatthama grinned. "Imagine if you were recognized for something extraordinary—like your epic bow skills! You could be the 'Arrow of Justice' or something cool like that."
Karna chuckled at the suggestion. "That would be nice, but I don't want my title to be a gimmick. I want it to represent something meaningful, something that reflects who I am and what I stand for."
"True," Rama agreed, "but titles can also inspire others. They can be a source of motivation. Look at Aarav; his title inspires many new hunters to push their limits."
Karna nodded thoughtfully. "I guess it's about balance. I want to be recognized for my skills and contributions, but also for my character and values."
Ashwatthama's expression turned serious. "Just remember, it won't come overnight. Titles are earned through hard work, dedication, and sometimes even sacrifice. You'll need to face challenges head-on."
Rama added, "And don't shy away from opportunities to help others. That's what often leads to the most impactful moments. Be the hero you want to be!"
Karna straightened, determination igniting within him. "You're right. I won't just wait for a title to be handed to me. I'll create my own legacy through my actions. When the time comes, I want to earn it, not just for myself, but for everyone who has supported me."
Ashwatthama clapped him on the back. "That's the spirit! Now let's get out there and train harder than ever. We'll show everyone what we're made of."
With renewed motivation, the trio headed towards the training ground, each fueled by the desire to carve their own paths and, perhaps, one day earn their own titles—ones that would reflect their true selves and the impact they hoped to make in the world of hunters.
Rama then got a text on his phone as he checks as he spoke. "Will guys get up, we have new Gate that got opened".
Karna, Ashwatthama, and Sita all perked up at Rama's words.
Ashwatthama stretched his arms. "Another Gate already? Feels like we barely had any downtime after the last one."
Sita raised an eyebrow. "What rank is it?"
Rama scrolled through his phone, reading the message carefully before looking up. "It's a B-rank Gate. The Guild wants a team to check it out and clear it before it turns into a Dungeon Break."
Karna cracked his knuckles. "B-rank, huh? Shouldn't be too hard, but we shouldn't let our guard down either."
Ashwatthama grinned. "Exactly! And who knows? Maybe this will be the one where we start making a name for ourselves."
Rama pocketed his phone. "Let's move. We need to get to the rendezvous point before the others take all the good loot."
With that, the group quickly geared up and made their way toward the new Gate, unaware of the dangers lurking within.
Karna then grabbed his Bow and spear, as he walked with his team, he told his mom he was going somewhere, as they made the way to the Gate, as they walked up and saw the portal, Bhima was also there, as they saw the gate, they then looked at one of the people from the hunter's Guild
The Hunter's Guild representative, a middle-aged man in a black suit with the Guild's emblem on his chest, glanced up as Karna and his team approached. He adjusted his glasses and nodded in recognition.
"Ah, you must be Karna and his squad," he said, flipping through his clipboard. "Good, you're right on time. The B-rank Gate was detected early this morning, and we need it cleared before it turns into a Dungeon Break."
Karna looked at the shimmering blue portal, its unstable energy flickering slightly. "Any known details about what's inside?"
The Guild rep shook his head. "Nothing concrete. The readings suggest a beast-type dungeon, possibly wolves or trolls, but there's some unusual mana fluctuations inside. It could mean stronger monsters—or worse, a Hidden Boss."
Bhima, standing nearby, cracked his knuckles. "Fine by me. If it's strong, that just means more fun."
Ashwatthama chuckled. "And more loot."
Rama turned to Karna. "What's the plan? Do we enter as one unit, or split up inside?"
Karna tightened his grip on his weapons. "We go in together. No unnecessary risks until we know what we're dealing with."
The Guild rep nodded approvingly. "Good call. Alright, you're clear to enter. Be careful."
With that, the team stepped forward, feeling the pull of the portal's energy as they crossed into the unknown dangers of the Gate.
They walked, as they looked around a bit, Sita ready her bow, Rama hold his sword, Ashwatthama ready his Chakra wheel, as Bhima ready his new weapons, a Spear-Clun Fusion, as the group of 5 walked in.
As then they felt a chill down rhehe spine, they walked a bit as they looker around.
Sita was rhe the first one to speak. "Why do I fell like this is not a Beast Dungeon".
The moment she said, Rama was sent flying hiting the wall, they didn't see anything just a glow was around his body, as he was being slammed around, Bhima eye darted as then he was hit by blue fire, as he was sent back, as Ashwatthama was hit by a ball of energy, Karna saw something moved be ready his coverd the tip of the Arrow in fire, and fired hitting the monster, as the Momstee lit up in flames as they saw what it was, It was 'Sepctor'.
Sita spoke as she looked at the Monster. "I hate the fact that I was right, this is a Ghost Dungeon".
Karna clicked his tongue in frustration as he pulled another arrow from his quiver. "A Ghost Dungeon... just our luck."
Sita steadied her bow, her sharp eyes scanning the flickering shadows around them. "These things don't follow normal attack patterns. We need to be careful."
Rama groaned as he pushed himself off the cracked wall. "Yeah, no kidding. Whatever that thing was, it was fast."
Bhima, his body still smoking slightly from the blue fire attack, tightened his grip on his Spear-Club Fusion. "Physical attacks barely seem to work on them. We need magic, or at least blessed weapons."
Ashwatthama spun his Chakra Wheel, the edges glowing faintly with divine energy. "Then leave that to me and Karna. Our weapons are enchanted enough to harm these things."
The Specter, its ethereal form flickering in and out of visibility, let out a hollow, echoing screech. More figures began emerging from the walls, their ghostly outlines distorting the air around them.
Karna narrowed his eyes. "It's not just one. We've got a whole nest of these things!"
The group quickly formed a defensive circle, their weapons at the ready. The air around them grew colder, and the eerie blue flames illuminating the dungeon flickered ominously.
Sita took a deep breath, channeling mana into her bow. "Alright, let's see if these things can handle blessed arrows." She fired, and the arrow glowed mid-flight, piercing through one of the Specters, making it let out a shrill, ear-splitting wail before disintegrating into black mist.
Rama grinned, gripping his sword tighter. "Looks like they can be taken down!"
Karna, now analyzing their opponents, quickly came up with a plan. "We need to keep moving! If we stay in one place too long, they'll overwhelm us. Sita and I will cover from a distance—Rama, Bhima, Ashwatthama, you handle close combat. Focus on dispersing them with enchanted attacks!"
Ashwatthama nodded. "On it."
The battle began in earnest, the Specters lunging from all directions. The group had to fight smart, balancing offense and defense as they pushed deeper into the dungeon, knowing that whatever was at the end of this nightmare would be even worse than the ghosts they were facing now…
