Chapter 7: Chapter 19-20-21
Chapter 19: The Media's Focus
The next morning, Gabriel woke up to the insistent sound of his cell phone. It was Kendall.
— "Gabriel, you're everywhere!"
He frowned, sitting up in bed.
— "What are you talking about now?" he asked, his voice still groggy.
— "The picture that girl took with you yesterday was posted, and now they're saying you're the 'most discreet and polite security guard' in the world. Haven't you seen the articles? TMZ, Page Six... even sports portals are talking about you."
Gabriel let out a long sigh and ran his hand over his face.
— "Unbelievable... It was just a picture."
— "Well," Kendall said with an amused tone, "it's not just any security guard who skydives at night and still manages to have that model posture. People are fascinated, Gabriel. You need to see this."
After ending the call, Gabriel opened the browser on his cell phone. Within seconds, he found headlines that made direct reference to him:
"The Kardashian family's mysterious security guard impresses with skills and elegance."
"Who is Gabriel, the man who conquered TikTok with a skydive?"
"Young woman recounts meeting with elite security guard: 'He was polite, but seemed reserved.'"
The photo taken by the young woman in the coffee shop was in several of these articles. The caption on the original post read: "I met the most incredible security guard in history! He didn't seem to like all the attention, but he was super polite."
In the comments, people shared their opinions:
"Of course he doesn't, he's a professional! Respect that."
"This guy is a real-life action hero."
"I wish I had a security guard like that in my life."
Gabriel shook his head in disbelief. He had spent years in the shadows and in the shadows, but now it seemed that a simple night jump and a photo were taking him out of this carefully preserved anonymity.
As he sipped his coffee, the phone rang again. This time, it was Kris Jenner.
— "Good morning, Gabriel," she said in her characteristic tone. "I hope you're handling all this attention well."
— "Trying, Mrs. Jenner," he replied. "But it's something I'd rather avoid."
Kris laughed.
— "You should take advantage of it. It's not every day that a skydiving video turns someone into a media sensation. I'm even thinking about inviting you to a photo shoot with the girls."
— "I'd rather stay behind the scenes," Gabriel said, trying to hide his discomfort.
— "Ah, but behind the scenes you're already shining!"
Gabriel smiled slightly, thanking her for her kindness, but it was clear that Kris was just joking.
Throughout the day, editors from major portals continued to explore the mystery of who Gabriel was. Without public social networks or much information available, people began to speculate. Articles tried to unravel his past, linking it to his visible abilities.
One reporter wrote:
"Clearly, Gabriel is no ordinary security guard. His poise, calm demeanor, and skydiving skills point to a background in special forces or military intelligence. Whatever his background, he's quickly become a crowd favorite."
Back at Kendall's house, where Gabriel has resumed his work, the Kardashian-Jenner sisters discussed the backlash. Kylie walked into the room holding her phone and showing Kendall something.
— "Have you seen the videos they've been making? He's literally in every 'For You' on TikTok!"
Kendall laughed.
— "I told you, Gabriel is like an action hero. People love that."
Kim, who was visiting, chimed in.
— "Do you think he's bothered by it? He doesn't seem to like all the attention."
— "Maybe," Kylie replied. "But he's been amazing to us. I think he's just trying to keep a low profile."
Meanwhile, Gabriel was in the garden, adjusting some equipment and organizing security routes for that night's event. He knew the media would soon be asking more questions, and he needed to find a way to deal with it without compromising his professional integrity.
Kendall appeared in the doorway with a smile. "You've become the talk of the town. How are you handling it?"
Gabriel gave a tired smile. "I've dealt with more complicated situations, but I prefer to stay out of the spotlight."
"I know," Kendall said, leaning against the door. "But people love you, you know? They say you're different. A mystery."
"I'm no mystery, I just do my job," he replied matter-of-factly.
"Well, that just makes you more interesting," Kendall joked before heading back inside.
At the end of the day, as he reviewed the evening's plans, Gabriel thought it over. The attention was new, but he knew it would be fleeting. He just had to keep calm and continue doing the job he did best: protecting and serving, with the same precision and professionalism he always had.
Still, deep down, he couldn't help but smile slightly as he saw the videos and comments. After all, it was curious how a night jump had temporarily transformed him into the center of so many conversations.
Chapter 20: The Gala Event
It was a Saturday night in Los Angeles, and the most anticipated event of the month was the charity gala organized by a renowned charity. The Kardashian-Jenner family would be in attendance in force, attracting the attention of the media and fans. As expected, Gabriel was assigned to oversee the security of the entire family.
Gabriel arrived early at the venue, a luxurious ballroom in the heart of Beverly Hills. Dressed impeccably in a tailored black suit, he analyzed every detail with precision: the entry and exit points, the angles of the security cameras and the distribution of the guards.
"Is communication flowing well?" Gabriel asked the head of the local security team.
"Yes, sir. We are coordinated in all areas, and guests are being checked at the main entrance."
Gabriel nodded. He always made a point of establishing a respectful relationship with the other security guards, but his calm and firm posture made it clear that he was in charge of protecting the Kardashian-Jenners.
Soon, the luxury cars began to arrive. Kris Jenner was the first to step out, accompanied by Corey Gamble. Gabriel opened the car door efficiently, offering a hand to help Kris out.
— "Good evening, Gabriel," Kris said with a smile. "I hope you're prepared for chaos."
— "I always am, Mrs. Jenner," he replied with a slight smile.
Kylie and Kendall arrived soon after, followed by Kim and Khloe, all looking impeccable in their couture attire. Gabriel noticed the presence of paparazzi and reiterated his instructions to the team: to keep the photographers at a distance and make sure no fans got past the barriers.
— "We're going to keep the movement steady," he instructed over the radio. "No long stops at the entrance."
When the entire family was assembled on the red carpet, Gabriel strategically positioned himself a few feet away, keeping everyone in view. Camera flashes lit up the night as reporters shouted questions about his latest projects.
A more daring photographer tried to cross the line, but Gabriel acted quickly, blocking his path with a firm stance.
— "Sir, please return to the designated area," Gabriel said, his voice calm but authoritative.
The man immediately backed away, realizing he would not have a chance to argue.
Inside the ballroom, Gabriel made sure to double-check the critical points as the family milled about the event. He observed discreetly, always staying close enough to act quickly but far enough away to not interfere with the guests' interactions.
As Kendall chatted with a group of fashion designers, she glanced at Gabriel and gave him a subtle smile. He responded with a discreet nod, knowing that she felt more at ease with his presence.
About halfway through the evening, Kim called Gabriel over.
— "Gabriel, would you please accompany us to the balcony? We're going to take some pictures with the kids."
He nodded.
— "Sure. I'll check it out first to make sure everything is safe."
Gabriel checked the area outside, making sure there were no threats. With everything under control, he signaled to Kim that they could proceed.
The children were excited, running around the balcony while professional photographers set up their cameras. Gabriel remained attentive, making sure no distractions or interruptions occurred.
— "You really take this seriously, don't you?" Khloe asked, moving closer to Gabriel as he observed his alert posture.
— "It's my job," he replied simply.
Khloe smiled.
— "Well, we're in good hands."
As the evening wore on, a tense moment arose when one of the guests, apparently drunk, began to behave inappropriately around Khloe and Kendall's group. Gabriel noticed immediately and approached.
— "Sir, I'm going to ask that you keep your distance and respect the ladies' personal space," Gabriel said, his tone polite but firm.
The man tried to argue, but Gabriel's imposing presence made him back away, mumbling something incoherent as he walked away.
Kendall gave Gabriel a grateful look. "Thanks. He was starting to get annoying."
"It's part of the job," Gabriel replied, returning to his usual position.
As the event drew to a close, the family began to gather to leave. Gabriel organized the logistics, making sure the cars were ready and the security team was lined up.
At the exit, the paparazzi were still in position, shouting questions and taking pictures. Gabriel led the way, making room for everyone to get into the cars without incident.
As the last car pulled away, Kris, who was in the backseat next to Corey, rolled down the window and said to Gabriel,
"Another flawless night, Gabriel. I don't know how we handled this before you."
"I'm happy to help Mrs. Jenner," he replied with a slight smile before walking away.
Back at his apartment, Gabriel was finally able to relax. He knew the evening had been a success, but he also knew that his attention to detail and low-key demeanor continued to impress both his family and those watching from the outside.
Even with all the media attention, Gabriel remained focused on his mission: to protect those under his care, while maintaining his ethics and professionalism intact. Another evening was over, but he knew that in the world of the Kardashian-Jenners, the next challenge was never far away.
Chapter 21: An Important Conversation
It was a quiet morning at Kylie Jenner's mansion, and Gabriel was taking advantage of the quiet moment to review the upcoming appointments on the family's schedule. Kylie, always punctual, came down the stairs with Stormi by her side. Gabriel stood up when he saw them and made a polite gesture.
— "Good morning, Kylie. Stormi."
— "Good morning, Gabriel," Kylie replied with a smile. "Ready for another day?"
— "Always," he replied with a calm expression, but there was something in his posture that Kylie noticed.
— "How are you? You seem... thoughtful," she asked, looking at him as she grabbed a cup of coffee from the kitchen.
— "Actually, there's something I'd like to talk to you about," Gabriel said bluntly.
— "Sure, have a seat," she replied, pointing to the table. "Stormi, why don't you go play outside while I talk to Gabriel?"
Stormi happily agreed and walked out into the garden, leaving the two of them alone. Gabriel sat with his hands clasped together on the table, something unusual for someone with his usually calm demeanor.
"Kylie, first of all, I want to thank you for the trust you and your family have placed in me. Working with you has been a challenging but rewarding experience."
"You've been amazing, Gabriel. Seriously, I don't know what we would do without you," Kylie said, genuinely surprised by his tone.
"I'm glad to hear that," Gabriel continued. "But I need to ask your permission to take a few weeks off."
Kylie frowned in concern. "Away? Why? Is that okay?"
"Yes, it's okay," he replied, with a slight smile to reassure her. "But I've been invited by a friend in the Secret Service to attend an advanced VIP executive security course. It's an opportunity to keep up with the latest techniques and hone my skills."
Kylie looked thoughtful.
— "I understand that this is important to you, but a few weeks without you here... That will be a challenge for us."
— "I understand your concerns," Gabriel said, leaning forward slightly. "I've already arranged for a reliable replacement for the time I'll be gone. He's a former federal agent with an impeccable record, someone I trust completely."
— "And do you think he can handle everything as well as you?" Kylie asked, an eyebrow arched.
Gabriel smiled.
— "No one is irreplaceable, Kylie. But I assure you that he is highly qualified and will follow all the protocols we have established."
Kylie was silent for a moment, fiddling with the rim of her coffee cup.
— "This seems very important to you," she said finally. "You're already so well prepared. Why do you feel you need this course?"
Gabriel looked into her eyes, his expression serious.
— "In my job, there is no room for complacency. There is always something new to learn, something that can make a difference in critical situations. In addition, the course is a unique opportunity to train with Secret Service experts. These skills not only benefit me, but also ensure even more efficient protection for you."
Kylie nodded slowly, acknowledging Gabriel's dedication.
— "You're right. I don't want to be selfish. If this is something that will help you be even better at what you do, then I'm all for it."
Gabriel relaxed slightly, grateful for her understanding.
— "Thank you, Kylie. That means a lot to me."
Before ending the conversation, Kylie asked a few more questions.
— "This course... Is it as intense as it seems? What do you do in it?"
Gabriel laughed lightly.
— "It's pretty intense, yes. We'll be training everything from high-risk evacuation strategies to behavioral analysis techniques to identify threats before they become problems. There will also be practical exercises involving protection on the move, planning safe routes, and responding to attacks."
— "That sounds like something out of a movie," Kylie said with an amused smile.
— "In real life, these techniques save lives," Gabriel replied seriously.
At the end of the conversation, Kylie stood up and looked at him with a confident look.
— "Okay, Gabriel. You can go. We'll be here when you get back. But just for the record, I hope your replacement is as discreet and reliable as you are."
Gabriel smiled.
— "He will be. I promise."
— "And Gabriel," she said as he stood up. "Just don't come back any more awesome than you already are, or it'll be hard to convince people you're real."
They laughed, and Gabriel thanked her again before leaving to continue his planning routine.
That night, Gabriel began to organize the final details before his trip. He knew that the course would not only help him hone his skills, but it would also reinforce his ability to protect the family he was slowly beginning to consider more than just clients.
It was a new challenge, but as always, Gabriel was prepared.
