Kalos Chronicles: The Rewritten Story

Chapter 6: Chapter 5:The End Of Chaos

The Final Ascent

Ash gripped the metal railing of the narrow staircase embedded into Prism Tower, the wind howling around him. Each step felt heavier as he climbed, the weight of the moment pressing down on his shoulders.

What am I doing? he thought, his breaths coming in short bursts. Why am I putting my life on the line for these pokemon,I am not Ash. If I mess up…

Pikachu, perched on his shoulder, nudged him gently. "Pika-pi!"

The small act of encouragement grounded Ash. He glanced at Froakie, who crouched resolutely on his other shoulder, its eyes locked on the glowing figure of Garchomp above.

Right, Ash thought. This isn't about me. It's about Garchomp and everyone in this city. I have to do this. No matter how scared I am,as here I am Ash someone will not come and save them.It is better to die trying to do something good than giving up.

With a firm resolve, Ash quickened his pace, the spiraling staircase seeming to stretch endlessly toward the balcony above.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seeing how Ash found the staircase that was attached to wall and had started climbing it without an ounce of hesitation.Bonnie and Clemont's heart were ignited.

"Although he is good it is always better to have more people,I need to get there"Cleomont said with a gaze filled with determination

"I am going to!"Bonnie said imitating the look Clemont was giving.

With that they got to the back of the Prism tower where the debris had fallen and started clearing it.

Clemont and Bonnie worked frantically to clear the debris blocking the service entrance. The Aipom Arm Clemont carried whirred and clanked as it lifted large chunks of rubble, sweat dripping down Clemont's brow.

"Faster, Clemont! Ash needs us!" Bonnie urged, her small hands tugging at the smaller stones.

"I'm trying, Bonnie!" Clemont replied, gritting his teeth. With one final heave, the path cleared, revealing the partially collapsed entrance.

"There" As Clemont gave his hand to Bonnie how stuggling due to the hieght of the debris which were still there too heavy to be removed by Aipom arm, as she grabbed Clemont's hand ,Bonnie said "Let's go!"

The siblings rushed forward, as they climbed the stairs to the first floor Bonnie could not help but comment"Are you an idot?Clemont,What were u thinking when you left this building as it is?"She asked this question because the layout was like this first they had the first floor then there is a door that leads outside but there is no balcony even if it is there it is very small so they had to go there and climb directly to the second floor balcony,as there is no staircase to it.

Clemont face twisted in frustration. "Stop complaining Boonie I did not know something like this would happen. The building looks so cool from outside you know so I never thought of changing it."

Clemont adjusted his glasses, as though he was analyzing the situation. "Now all we can do is go after Ash and follow him in his path"

Bonnie face had a slight smirk as she sarcastically said"Great detective Clemont,I did not know that we needed to use Ash's path and detective can you please tell me how are you going to climb with that bag of yours".

Clemont's face turned ugly at her words and as it could be seen that they were almost at the doorway.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At the topmost balcony, Garchomp let out a guttural roar, its body trembling under the influence of the collar pulsing around its neck. Each surge of energy sent waves of agony through the Dragon Pokémon, driving it to lash out wildly.

Ash climbed onto the balcony, his breath catching as he saw Garchomp's glowing red eyes.

Clemont and Bonnie at this time had already reached the second floor balcony.

Clemont frantically turned his head searching for Ash as he asked "Where is Ash?"

Bonnie pointed her hands upwards"He is there see he just climbed onto the top balcony, now come on Clemont let's go!"

"No this is enough I am too tired, lets wait here you know how good Ash is right he will be able to pull this off" Clemont told Bonnie as he wiped his sweat.Bonnie also tired did not protest as she sat down right there staring up,hoping to able to see what is happening up there.

On the other hand Ash saw that the collar's cruel hold on Garchomp was evident in every one of her movement—her claws scraped the metal floor erratically, and her wings trembled with unspent energy.

"Garchomp…" Ash said softly, his voice barely audible over the wind. He took a cautious step forward, Pikachu and Froakie ready at his side. "It's okay. I'm here to help you."

Pickachu and Froakie tried to reassure Gachomp concern could be on thier face which showed that they were not able to see Garchomp in pain "Picka Picki","Fro,Froakie".

Garchomp's head snapped toward them, her snarl reverberating like thunder. With a roar, she charged a Hyper Beam, the golden energy swirling in her mouth.

"Move!" Ash shouted, diving out of the way as the beam scorched the floor, sending sparks and debris flying.

Pikachu landed beside Ash, its cheeks sparking with electricity. "Pika!"

Ash stopped "No don't do that we are here to make her comeback to control not to make it worse."

"pika?" looked like pickachu was a bit taken aback by Ash's answer, but shook his head as though asking for sorry.

Ash replied " It's ok Pickachu it happens we all do that when we feel threatened".

Ash sat up, his heart pounding. "But you are right in a way Pikachu she has completly lost it ,Pickachu, Froakie—we need to get that collar off her right now or else it going to cause her more pain and also it would lead her to causing more havoc."

Garchomp prepared another Hyper Beam, her wings flaring as she struggled against the conflicting forces in her body.

"Pikachu,Electro ball from below just enough to take on the hyperbeam ,Froakie use your frubbles to pin her feet to the ground do that she does not fall of!" Ash commanded.

The two Pokémon leapt into action. Pikachu released a ball of electricity, which shot through hyperbeam from below enough to stop its momentum which gave the right opening for Froakie to launch its frubbles, anchoring her feet to the floor.

Ash stepped forward, his voice steady but desperate. "Garchomp, listen to me! You're stronger than that thing around your neck! Come on you can do this!Fight it!"

The Dragon Pokémon's growls softened, and her posture slackened. Her glowing eyes flickered, the faintest hint of clarity returning.

Ash's heart leapt. Seeing how she was not fighting it till now I thought something had gone wrong, because of what my existense.

"Garchomp, you've got this! Just one more push!"

But the collar pulsed violently, and Garchomp roared in agony. Her tail lashed out,she started wailing about trying to pry the collar off.

Ash himself jumped onto Garchomp as held her"Froakie help me come, pickachu use iron tail as soon as she is steady."

Froakie leapt onto Garchomp's back, anchoring her wings with its frubbles. Pikachu jumped tail turning silver as he lashed out using the force of gravity on the tail as he somersaluted in the air hit the collar precisely breaking it.Both Froakie and Pickachu moved away as Ash calmed her down.

Garchomp froze, her body trembling. Her red eyes dimmed, replaced by their natural color.

"You're okay now," Ash said softly, his voice filled with relief,as he patted Garchomp's back.

The Floor Gives Way

Just as Garchomp began to steady herself, the weakened balcony groaned ominously. Pikachu and Froakie moved toward Ash, but the floor beneath Pickachu which was slightly cracked previously due to the first Hyper Beam they faced gave way with a deafening crack.

"Pikaaa!" Pikachu cried, tumbling through the gap.

"No!" Ash shouted, diving after his partner. He caught Pikachu mid-air, holding it close. "I've got you!".What in the hell am I doing ,my body just moved instinctively on its own.Ash thought

Mid-air, Ash suddenly realised he had charizard, which he had carried in case the garchomp event took place.

His hand found Charizard's Poké Ball as he clicked the button on top of it as he said "Charizard, I am sorry for not briefing but I need you,so come on out"

The ball burst open, and Charizard appeared with a mighty roar. It swooped down, catching Ash and Pikachu on its back.

"Thank you," Ash murmured, clutching Pikachu tightly. "Let's go to the ground and get help to bring Garchomp down."

Charizard carried them back to the ground, as Froakie and Garchomp watched from the balcony relieved that both of them were safe. The Dragon Pokémon let out a soft growl of relief at the end of its terrible experience,we could see Froakie rubbing her back trying to calm her down and showing that they were all there for her.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Charizard landed, the crowd below erupted into cheers. Cameras flashed, capturing every moment of the dramatic rescue.

Professor Sycamore pushed through the crowd, his expression a mix of relief and admiration. "Ash, you've done something truly remarkable. Garchomp is safe because of you."

Ash slid off Charizard's back, his legs shaky. Pikachu nuzzled him affectionately, while Froakie perched on his shoulder.

Sycamore's eyes lingered on Charizard. "It's rare to see such a good bond between a Trainer and their Pokémon. Your Charizard reminds me of certain someone…,oh and don't worry about Garchomp,Jenny has gone to get her down".

Ash's heart skipped a beat. He's talking about Alain, isn't he. But he kept his expression neutral, offering a small nod.

Bonnie and Clemont arrived moments later, their faces flushed from the climb.

"That was incredible!" Bonnie exclaimed, her eyes sparkling.

Clemont adjusted his glasses, his voice tinged with awe. "The way you handled everything… it's something to admire."

Ash laughed sheepishly as he thought if only they knew how scared I really was.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the crowd began to disperse, Ash stood quietly as he watched Garchomp reunite with Sycamore.

I could've died today, he thought, his hands trembling. This isn't just a show anymore this is my reality. People and Pokémon are counting on me.

Charizard nudged him gently, its warm breath a reminder of their bond.

"Thanks, buddy," Ash whispered, patting its neck. "I couldn't have done this without you."Charizard sent a playfull flamethrower greeting at his words.Oh shit how did I forget about charizard's greeting he thought as he fanned himself still amazed he did not die from the flamethrower.

Pikachu was perched on his shoulder, froakie had disappeared as soon as Garchomp was brought down from the balcony.

Above them, the stars began to emerge, shining brightly over Lumiose City—a quiet promise of the challenges yet to come.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The camera zoomed in on Ash as he stood beside Charizard, with a small but determined smile on his face.

Serena, watching from home, gasped softly. "It really is him,its Ash"

But Grace, unaware of her daughter's knowing the Trainer, simply remarked, "That boy,he saved a lot of lives today."

The broadcast ended with them showing clips of Ash saving the day.
