Chapter 31: Introductions

[Author Note]

Disc: HrPrTeam

Who is the sneakiest one? (Not in terms of strength.)

Yuta snuck Kenjaku from the bushes. Maki snuck 20F Heian Sukuna on low output. Toji snuck Teen Gojo and Riko with the blicky. I guess Megumi snuck the second finger bearer.

Maki:

Yuta:

Toji:

Megumi?:

__________

Naohiro

Don't react, don't react, don't react, don't react.

...

WHAT THE FUCK IS URAUME DOING ON THE OTHER TEAM!?

After making our way to the school, we saw the people we would fight during the event.

Now that they are in front of us, I guess it is time to introduce ourselves.

Meeting new people has never been a problem for me, but when you are directly confronting one of the strongest people around who wants you dead, it doesn't make me tranquil.

Since Uraume is here, they are going to want to screw me over. No way in hell would they be here unless they wanted to kill me or Gojo.

Uraume has no way to get through limitless as far as I know since they didn't have a domain expansion, making domain amplification impossible.

(A/N - "As of the release of this chapter, Uraume has no domain expansion. If this changes in the future, please ignore the inconsistency.")

Which can only mean one thing: they are here for me.

Honestly, I'm confident that I can beat them if it comes down to blows since my cold resistance has reached a high level. They can probably still damage me since their ice is extremely strong, but it won't be as bad as, say, a fire arrow hitting me.

Kenjaku is the opposite of an idiot, so he probably knows that I can most likely beat Uraume. This makes me worried since he has to have something else up his sleeve.

Prison Realm? Probably not, since they wouldn't have the time to seal me. If I can't figure it out, I'll have to encounter it, which pisses me off. Even if I know who Uraume really is, I can't do much about it.

Attacking a random first-year student is off the table, as much as I would like to punch the Sukuna meat muncher.

*Sigh* I need to be ready for whatever they have in store for me.

Walking up to the other contestants, I start to greet them with handshakes and a basic introduction.

I zone out while running through my thoughts before seeing Utahime and Uraume.

*Phew* It's time. I walk up to Uraume.

I reach out my hand before introducing myself. "I'm Naohiro Zenin. Nice to meet you."

They looked at my hand before staring me in the eyes for a few seconds before smiling and shaking my hand. "I'm Nishida. I hope there are no hard feelings between our schools after this event."

Uraume's hand starts getting colder.

I smirk.

They're pissed.

WhaT wOuLd DaDdY SuKuNa SaY iF hE SaW YoU nOw?

My smirk changes into a normal smile. "Likewise, however, I don't plan on holding back against anyone I fight against."

I notice that Uraume is still holding my hand with an iron grip. "I won't either."

They reluctantly let go of my hand before quickly turning around, presumably to show their real feelings on their face.

Their face is probably seething at the idea of touching someone who ate her master's fingers.

I exhaled air that I didn't even know I was holding in before moving on to Utahime, who was a much easier person to talk to.

As I introduce myself, a genuine smile appears on my face. "Hello, I'm Naohiro. I hope there is no bad blood between us after this. I'd rather not become enemies with our sister school."

What I didn't expect was Utahime to ignore my hand, clap her hands together, and whisper to me. "*Whisper* I know we're going to lose, so please hold back so as not to embarrass us too much; Yuki Tsukumo will be watching."

Yuki huh? On a different note..."This is a competition, not a death match. Naturally, we won't be going all out, but if something unexpected happens, I won't. I don't like showing off too much."

Yes, I do.

I continue. "The one you should be asking is Satoru Gojo since he couldn't care less that he's here and will want to get it over with as soon as possible."

I get an audible UGH in return.

Her head falls down. "Thanks a ton, you're a saint. My cursed technique isn't meant for fighting, so if we encounter one another, can you leave me alone?"

Uraume will be gunning for me, so I doubt that will happen.

I replied, a lightbulb going off in my head: "I'm almost positive that we won't run into each other as long as you avoid looking for a fight, but I'm not going to throw the event since I'm here to win. I'll tell you what: If you don't use your cursed technique on Nishida, I'll leave you alone."

I hear a sigh of relief but get a suspicious look back. "Do you even know what my cursed technique does, and if so, wouldn't I be 'throwing the match'?"

I give my own ugh back. "Yes or no?"

She contemplates for a few seconds before stomping and replying, "Damnit, fine. I won't use my cursed technique on Nishida. Happy you jerk!?"

I smile. "Yes, thanks a ton, and I truly mean that."

She tilts her head to the side before shaking her head. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. After this Goodwill event, I'll be done, so you can make deals with whoever else you want. Now I got to talk to pretty boy over there. Just looking at him pisses me off. He's ignoring everyone! Well then, see ya."

She walks over to Gojo before trying to sell him the same pitch, but I doubt he would listen.

After the introductions, we were divided into our respective teams and led to different parts of the forest.

This was supposed to be a normal steamrolling match. Why the hell did it have to turn into a story arc!?

Hopefully, we won't have any more surprises during this event. I could barely handle one!

A flag was definitely raised, wasn't it?

*BANG*

"Let the sister school exchange event BEGIN!"

*Sigh*

Let's do this thing!
