Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Let's be Super again
[About 2 months ago]
The night Darius unlocked all his power was unforgettable. The sky above Wakanda had been lit up with a spectacle of energy and light, a display that left everyone who witnessed it in awe.
Ororo Munroe, standing near the royal palace, felt the air hum with raw, untamed power. She watched, eyes wide, as Darius descended from the mountain, his white robes billowing and his hair glowing with an almost celestial brilliance.
She sensed the immense power radiating from him, power that resonated with her own abilities. The earth beneath her feet seemed to respond to his presence, vibrating with an energy she had never felt before. Her heart pounded in her chest, a mix of fear and admiration filling her.
"Darius," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the crackling energy. She knew then that he was not just an ordinary being; he was something far greater, a primordial force.
As he approached the palace, the royal family and everyone present were stunned into silence, their eyes fixed on the transformed Darius. Ororo couldn't help but feel a deep respect for him. She had encountered powerful beings before, but none quite like Darius.

The next morning, Ororo learned that Darius had left Wakanda. The news hit her harder than she expected. She had hoped to learn more from him, to understand his power and perhaps even form a stronger alliance. But now he was gone, off to explore the world.
Standing in her chambers, Ororo contemplated her next move. "Maybe it's time to reconnect with the old group," she murmured to herself. The thought of returning to the X-Men crossed her mind. It had been a while since she had seen Professor Xavier and the others. Perhaps it was time to go back.
[1st POV- Ororo]
I sat on the edge of my bed, scrolling through my phone when a notification popped up. A trending video. Curious, I clicked on it and was instantly met with the sight of Darius in a convenience store, effortlessly disarming robbers and crushing their weapons. My heart skipped a beat as I watched him move with such grace and power.
"Darius," I whispered, feeling a mixture of emotions. Pride, admiration, and a touch of sadness. He was out there, making a difference, and here I was, contemplating my own path.
The comments on the video were filled with awe and speculation. People were already calling him a superhero, comparing him to legends like Superman and Thor. I couldn't help but smile. They had no idea just how special he was.
Seeing him like this reminded me of the potential within myself. If Darius could make such an impact, so could I. I needed to stop dwelling on the past and start looking towards the future. Maybe it was time to find my own way to make a difference again.
With a renewed sense of purpose, I decided to reach out to the X-Men. It was time to reconnect with my old friends and see how I could contribute. And maybe, just maybe, our paths would cross with Darius's again.

The journey to the Xavier Institute felt like a homecoming. The sprawling mansion, hidden away in the lush countryside, was a place where Ororo Munroe had grown from a young mutant into the powerful hero known as Storm.
As the taxi pulled up to the gates, memories flooded back. She paid the driver, grabbed her bags, and stepped out onto the familiar grounds.
The gates creaked open, and she walked up the long driveway, feeling the anticipation building within her. She reached the front door and took a deep breath before knocking. The door opened almost immediately, revealing a familiar face.
"Ororo!" Jean Grey exclaimed, her eyes lighting up with joy. She pulled Ororo into a tight hug. "It's so good to see you!"
"It's good to see you too, Jean," Ororo replied, smiling warmly. "I've missed this place."
"Come on in, everyone's going to be so excited to see you," Jean said, leading her inside.
As they walked through the halls, Ororo took in the familiar sights and sounds. The Xavier Institute was buzzing with activity, young mutants training and learning, the atmosphere filled with energy and potential. It was exactly as she remembered it.
They entered the main living area, where several members of the X-Men were gathered. Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops, looked up from a conversation with Hank McCoy (Beast) and smiled broadly when he saw Ororo.
"Ororo! Welcome back!" Scott said, standing up to greet her.
Hank gave her a bear hug. "It's great to have you back, Ororo. We've missed you."
"I've missed all of you too," Ororo said, feeling a sense of belonging wash over her.
"Professor Xavier is in his office," Jean said. "He'll want to see you right away."
Ororo nodded and made her way to the Professor's office, knocking gently on the door.
"Come in," came the familiar voice of Charles Xavier.
Ororo opened the door and stepped inside. The Professor looked up from his desk, his face breaking into a warm smile.
"Ororo, it's wonderful to see you," he said, rolling his wheelchair around the desk to greet her.
"Professor," Ororo said, kneeling to embrace him. "It's been too long."
"Indeed it has," he replied. "What brings you back to us?"
Ororo took a deep breath. "I've been in Wakanda, learning and growing. But recent events made me realize I need to reconnect with my roots. I want to be a part of the X-Men again, to help in any way I can."
Professor Xavier nodded, his eyes twinkling with approval. "We would be honored to have you back, Ororo. Your experience and wisdom are invaluable to us."
They spent the next hour catching up, discussing recent events and the current state of the mutant world. Ororo shared stories of her time in Wakanda, and the Professor filled her in on the latest happenings at the Institute.
...
Later that evening, the X-Men gathered in the dining hall for a welcome-back dinner in Ororo's honor. The room was filled with laughter and the aroma of delicious food. Ororo felt a deep sense of camaraderie as she sat among her friends, old and new.
Logan, also known as Wolverine, sauntered over with a grin. "Look who decided to drop by," he teased, handing her a drink.
"Good to see you too, Logan," Ororo said with a smile, clinking her glass against his.
The conversation flowed easily, everyone eager to hear about Ororo's adventures in Wakanda. She recounted tales of the advanced technology, the beautiful landscapes, and her encounters with the royal family. When she mentioned Darius and his incredible display of power, the room fell silent with awe.
"Sounds like this Darius guy is someone to keep an eye on," Scott said thoughtfully.
"No kidding," Logan added. "Anyone who can pull off what you described is definitely not your average joe."
As the night went on, Ororo felt a deep sense of belonging. She was home. The X-Men were her family, and together they could face any challenge. She was ready to contribute, to fight, and to protect those who needed her.

The next morning, Ororo awoke feeling refreshed and energized. She decided to take a walk around the grounds, soaking in the beauty of the place that had been her home for so long. The gardens were in full bloom, and the early morning sun cast a golden glow over everything.
As she strolled, she reflected on her decision to return. Seeing the young mutants training and learning, she felt a renewed sense of purpose. She could guide them, teach them, and help them realize their potential.
[1st POV - Ororo]
Later that day, I found a quiet spot under a large oak tree and pulled out my phone. Scrolling through social media, I stumbled upon more videos of Darius.
Each one showed him in different cities, helping people, stopping crimes, and displaying his incredible powers. The funny thing was, he wasn't actively being a hero, trouble just seemed to find him every where he went.
My heart swelled with pride as I watched him. There was one thing I was glad about. He didn't receive any prejudice from the people as the discrimination against empowered people(mutants) has lessened tremendously after Superman emerged.
"Darius, you're making quite an impact," I murmured to myself. I couldn't help but smile. He was doing exactly what he had set out to do, and I was glad to see it.
The comments on the videos were overwhelmingly positive. People were inspired by him, looking up to him as a new hero. I felt a pang of longing, wishing I could be out there making a difference alongside him. But I knew my place was here, at least for now.
Seeing Darius out there reminded me of why we fight. It wasn't just about protecting the world from threats, but also about inspiring hope and showing people that there were heroes among them. I was proud to be a part of that legacy.
With a renewed sense of determination, I stood up and headed back to the mansion. There was work to be done, and I was ready to give it my all.
