Journey To The Lands Beyond

Blaine sat on one of the chairs.

Back straight, with good posture.

He picked up the teacup served to him, and took a sip.

"Such amazing tea. So relaxing."

At the table, everyone arguing what role will be most suited for Blaine. Even Sebas. Except for Janika. She just sat there, listening to those three.

"Hmm, they still haven't decided yet?" He thought.

"No! I'm saying he should become my personal maid!"

"Wh-what?!" Blaine said and looked at Cedric. However, Cedric was too busy arguing with his father.

Blaine was in utter shock. Questioning his life choices after what he heard come out of Cedric's mouth.

"No! That won't do! He should—"

"Alright, you two! Cut it out! I've heard enough!"

Before Albus could finish his sentence, Janika cut him off and said.

Everyone was in complete silence.

"I've decided! From now on, Blaine will be my butler! Does anyone have a problem with it??" Janika stood up. Smacked her hand on the table and said with a fierce look.

"N-no, daughter, no problem at all."

"N-no problem here either."

"A fine discussion indeed, milady."

"And you, Blaine?" She looked at Blaine. Still had the fierce look.

"No, Ma'am! No problem whatsoever!" Blaine responded.

Everyone sat back down on their seats.

"Daughter."

Albus said as he looked at Janika.

"Yes, Father."

Janika stood back up and turned towards Blaine.

Blaine didn't know what was about to happen but, he too, stood up and turned towards Janika.

"Blaine, as of today, you are a butler of the third daughter of The Circe Family, Janika Circe Steins. Will you accept to fulfill your duties to the end and devote yourself solely to me… and stay by my side till the end of time?

Janika lifted her hand forward. As soon as Blaine saw her hand, he knelt down on his knee.

"Yes, I accept."

He grabbed and gently kissed her hand to show his devotion.

"Oh, and also, become my knight!"

"I am yours to command, milady." Blaine softly chuckled and said while still kneeling down.

"And, please stop calling me, milady!" She pouted in annoyance.

"I shall do as you command!" Blaine had a light laugh and said while smiling.

"You have become a butler and a knight at the same time! Congratulations, my boy!" Albus said while laughing.

"Aww, but I wanted to take him for myself!" Cedric said while sobbing.

Everyone ignored what Cedric had said.

"Now then, Blaine, you have to learn about what you have to do as a butler, and Sebas here, is going to teach you everything you need to know. I believe you've already met, yes?" Albus said with the same seriousness.

"Yes, Lord Albus. And it is my pleasure to work with you, Master Blaine." Sebas said as he put his hand on his left chest and bowed to show a sign of respect.

Blaine did the same and responded "Yes, sir! I'll be in your care!

"Well, the sun is going down and it's going to get dark soon. So, why don't we talk in the morning and you'll have the chance to meet the rest of the family. But, for now, you should get some rest, Sebas will get a room ready for you. Good night and let's meet again tomorrow." As soon as Albus said that he went inside and everyone followed after him.

"Master Blaine, this way. I shall guide you to your room." Sebas had already prepared the room in advance and said. Blaine followed after him.

"Blaine, good night, hope to see you tomorrow!" Cedric said in a heartfelt voice and waved before going to his own room.

"Ah, yeah, good night." Blaine said as he was trying to hurry to his new room.

"I don't know why he acts that why. With his looks, he shouldn't have any problems having a girlfriend. But he says he's not interested in anyone. Don't pay him any mind, he just likes to tease people. Anyways, good night, Blaine, take care." Janika said and walked towards her room.

"Yeah, good night."

After wishing everyone good night, Blaine reached his new room escorted by Sebas, which was a few rooms away from Janika's.

"Please, go ahead."

After Sebas said that, Blaine opened the door and walked in. He saw a king-sized bed, new clothes, and all the necessities that he would need.

"Although the necessary things are all here, if you need anything else, just tell me or the maids. Have a good night's rest, it's been a long day for you. Tomorrow we shall meet again, until then, I bit you farewell." Sebas said cheerfully and left.

Blaine changed his clothes into something more casual and laid down on the bed.

The door was closed,

and the lights were off.

The Moons were shining through the clouds,

the clouds that had filled the night sky in dark.

Blaine looked through the window,

to the shining moons above,

wondering once again,

why did it have to be him.

As he slowly falls asleep murmuring "why? I just wanted to live… a… normal… life."
