Journey to Planar World

Chapter 129: After the Fight

In a luxurious hotel suite situated atop the city's tallest building, the Abyssal Devourer sat on a black velvet-covered sofa. The room's interior exuded opulence that contrasted with the darkness enveloping its occupant. The glass walls provided a view of the city now shrouded in destruction from the previous battle.

On the marble table before him, a glass of red wine lay untouched. The Abyssal Devourer gazed out the window with an angry expression. His hand clenched, causing fine cracks to appear on the sofa's arm, mirroring his frustration.

"Trash! Useless!" He suddenly shouted, grabbing the nearest crystal flower vase and throwing it at the glass wall.

*CRASH!*

The vase shattered into pieces, its crystal shards scattering across the floor. His anger not yet subsided, the Abyssal Devourer slammed the small table beside him, sending it overturning and causing the glass of red wine to fall and spill, spreading like blood on the pristine white floor.

After destroying several objects around him, he finally slumped back onto the sofa, taking a deep breath to calm himself.

"I underestimated this Savior. He's tougher than I thought."

With his left hand, he picked up a black tablet lying on the main table. His eyes narrowed as he replayed the moment Shishigami Hiro activated self-destruction.

"The Son and Daughter of the Destiny are still alive."

Closing his eyes, he tried to steal the World Source but failed. This indicated that the World itself hadn't weakened in the slightest because there had been no death of the Son and Daughter of the Destiny yet.

"There are still three more chances, no need to panic."

Outside the window, the night deepened, but the destruction left behind by the battle still blazed brightly on the horizon. The Abyssal Devourer just stared, a sinister smile on his face.

The morning after the battle, Tokai City, usually bustling with life, had transformed into a silent disaster zone. Smoke still billowed in several places, shrouding the scattered debris.

The large crater left behind by Shishigami Hiro's explosion stood as a silent witness to the epic battle the night before. However, the destruction was not only a concern for local residents but also attracted international attention.

In different parts of the world, news of the fight between these two extraordinary figures became headlines. The mass media kept replaying footage captured by civilians, while governments of major countries initiated their covert operations.

—In Washington, D.C—

Inside the Pentagon's meeting room, a group of generals and scientists sat around a large screen. The video of the fight between Shishigami Hiro and Charlie was replayed in slow motion.

"This isn't ordinary human technology. If we could get a sample from that cyborg, we might be able to revolutionize our military industry." A four-star general said, pointing at Hiro's figure in the video.

A neatly dressed man in a black suit, clearly from the CIA, nodded in agreement. "However, we can't ignore the second figure. He used… magic."

"Magic? That's just fantasy!" A scientist interrupted. "Maybe it's a form of energy we haven't understood yet. Alien technology, perhaps."

"Fantasy or not, he managed to fight against the most advanced technology we've ever seen and win. We want him. Send a special operations team to Japan. Use the excuse of protecting allies to secure Tokai City, but our main goal is to capture that man." The general said in a firm tone.

With that decision, an American aircraft carrier stationed in the Eastern Pacific Ocean began moving towards Japan.

—In Moscow—

In the Kremlin, the Russian President listened to a report from an SVR agent.

"We have identified the source of the video as originating from Tokai City, Japan. Based on initial analysis, the cyborg and the man are completely different entities. That man… he's not a normal human." The agent reported.

The President stroked his chin. "Send a team there. If Japan is too busy dealing with America, we might be able to move undetected."

The agent bowed, then quickly left the room.

In Tokai City.

Meanwhile, the situation in Tokai City became increasingly tense. JSDF troops had set up a perimeter around the site of the destruction, but international pressure overwhelmed their government.

In the city center, the residents who survived the disaster the night before began the evacuation process. However, rumors began to spread among them about the "Wizard" figure who fought to protect them.

American forces arrived first. With advanced equipment, they began searching for any remaining technology that could be found. However, they were not alone.

The Russian special operations team also arrived, disguised as international aid workers.

*KNOCK!* *KNOCK!*

A knock on the door woke Charlie from his sleep. The sound was light but enough to make him open his eyes.

"Charlie-san, wake up. Breakfast is ready."

Yotsuba stood outside the room, intending to call Charlie. However, as soon as she opened the door, her gaze fell directly on the sight that made her freeze. Charlie and Aishia were asleep in the same bed.

"I-I'm sorry!" She exclaimed with a flushed face. She quickly closed the door and ran away, not daring to look back.

Inside the room, Charlie frowned at the sound of the door slamming shut.

"What was that?" He mumbled half-asleep.

Aishia, still in his arms, opened her eyes slowly. Her gaze was soft but full of curiosity.

"What's wrong?" She asked in a lazy tone.

"It seems Yotsuba saw us sleeping together. Her reaction was funny." Charlie said with a faint smile. "No wonder she's the last winner. Her reaction like that would make people want to bully her."

He had to admit that Fuutarou had good taste in choosing women.

Aishia just nodded slowly, then looked at Charlie with her beautiful eyes.

"I'm hungry."

Charlie smiled, then got out of bed. The two washed their faces with the help of Water Spirit Art. Clear water floated in the air, cleaning their faces without having to go to the bathroom. After finishing, they left the room and headed towards the dining room.

"..."

In the dining room, the atmosphere immediately became silent. The Nakano quintuplets were busy preparing breakfast, but the arrival of Charlie and Aishia stopped all their activities.

Yotsuba, still blushing from the previous incident, was busy arranging plates on the table. Ichika looked at Charlie with a teasing smile, while Nino looked at them with furrowed eyebrows, as if she wanted to say something.

Miku looked nervous, pretending to focus on the pancakes she was cooking. However, the smell of burning from the pan showed that her mind wasn't there. Itsuki, who usually only thought about food, now seemed thoughtful.

Fuutarou, who was sitting at the table with Raiha, tried to divert attention.

"Breakfast is almost ready. Just sit down." He said in a flat tone, although his eyes glanced towards Charlie and Aishia with questioning looks.

Charlie sat down at the table without saying much, while Aishia followed him, sitting next to him calmly.

This time, Charlie didn't confine them to the basement as before. The decision proved to be right. The Nakano quintuplets, Fuutarou, and Raiha showed no signs of wanting to escape, even though there were many opportunities to do so.

There was no other choice. Now, they fully believed Charlie's claim that they were being targeted by an entity that wanted to kill them.

Initially, the claim felt like nonsense. However, the live broadcast of Charlie's battle against Hiro in Tokai City had overturned their common sense. The fight was real, and the destruction it caused was undeniable.

They knew that the world they lived in had changed. In this situation, they could only obey the protection offered by Charlie, even though their relationship was still shrouded in distrust and doubt.

The atmosphere at the dining table was very awkward. No one spoke except for the occasional clatter of cutlery. Only Aishia was focused on the food in front of her.
