Annoyed by the long-range attacks, Charlie darted to the side, narrowly avoiding the explosion that destroyed the empty building below them. Debris flew everywhere, hitting the citizens who were trying to escape.

Seeing his attack successfully avoided, Hiro glided forward, changing his attack pattern. Dozens of mini-laser weapons on his back opened up, emitting white beams that locked onto Charlie from various angles.

Charlie shot at high speed, trying to avoid the barrage of attacks. However, several laser beams hit his body, causing burns on his arms.

However, as the smoke from the explosion cleared, Hiro appeared unharmed. His defense system had managed to absorb most of the attack's energy. He chuckled, though silently, as if mocking his opponent's futile efforts.

He unleashed a series of missiles from his shoulders. The missiles shot at high speed, creating trails of smoke in the air.

Charlie tried to slash several missiles with his sword, detonating them before they reached their target. However, the explosion created a shockwave that pushed him back.

One missile managed to get past his defenses, hitting the ground below. Buildings collapsed, and the screams of those trapped inside were heartbreaking.

Charlie clenched his fist, guilt stabbed his heart.
