Journey To Eden

~BANG~

The giant crab punched Ezra again sending him flying. He stuck his sword into the ground stopping flight. He looked up at the giant bear that a was absolutely colossal. Each of its legs were the size of a small van and the whole this was size of a three-story building. 

Despite its size, Ezra wasn't concentrated on it but rather he was focused at the person riding it. He knew that he saw the old man during the second test as on of the judges and now it looked like he wanted to kill him.

"What's wrong with the examiners of this school? It's like everyone wants to kill the newcomers." Ezra said.

The crab then came speeding towards him, its claws open and ready to crash the boy. 

~CRASH~ 

The crabs claw hit the ground forming a crack. Ezra dodged the attack and created some distance between the crab and himself. 

"Getting away from me won't do anything, kiddo." the old man said while stroking his beard. "Krusty, show him hell." the old man told his crab.

"See, all strong soul animals have names." said the eagle

"Now is not the time. Looks like he's attacking." said Ezra as he continued running away from the crab.

"Then counter." said the eagle.

"What are you talking about? He's obviously stronger than me."

"Is he stronger because he's an examiner or because of the huge crab?"

Ezra stopped running and pondered on the question the eagle asked.

"I guess its both." he said.

"But he is still human. You're running and not trying to fight because you don't find any reason to fight someone you view as stronger. News flash that man there is human and that crab is no bigger than the bear you fought."

"How do you know that?" 

"Oh yeah. I forgot to tell you. When we bond I connect to everything. Your mind, body and soul."

"Doesn't matter. You know what you're right. We can beat this thing."

"That's the thinking. Now try not to die."

Ezra then gripped his sword and turned to the crab. He then thrust forward and was now running to the giant crab. The crab stomped on the ground and large rocks flew into the air. It then punched the air and sent the rocks flying to Ezra.

Ezra was running to the carb when he saw the large rocks flying towards him. He tightly gripped the sword and began dodging, and cutting through the rocks until he closed the distance between it and himself. 

The crab shot its claw forward but Ezra dodged it and cut the two of the crabs legs from the joints. The crabs lost balance and he used the opportunity to launch up into the air and kick the old man off of the crab and onto the ground. He then pointed his sword at the old man but right as mother Graves told him to stop, the crab hit Ezra's side with a powerful blow that sent him flying into a rock.

"What was that about?" he asked in pain as blood trekked down his mouth.

"Was that necessary, father Khan?" mother Graves asked.

"I can't accept to be beaten by a youngster like him." said the old man as he sat back onto his crab.

"Sorry about that, Ezra. This geezer can be impossible some times." said mother Graves. "We aren't here to fight so you can take off that armor."

"How do I do that again?" asked Ezra to the eagle.

"What's the opposite of bond?" asked the eagle.

"Right." said Ezra.

Separation: 555

A gust of wind blew around Ezra as the sword and armor turned back into an eagle.

"You really do have an external soul animal. Quite fascinating." said mother Graves.

"Okay, what's this about?" asked Ezra.

"Oh yeah. Ezra Jameson. I'm mother Elisabeth Graves. This old man here is father Roku Khan, and we are going to be your growth parents." said mother Graves. 

 "Growth parents. What the hell is that?" asked Ezra.

"Try to guess, kiddo." said father Khan.

"Let's regroup with the rest and I'll explain from there." Mother Graves said as her unkindness of crows drew closer to her before lifting her and Ezra from the ground and flew them to the main building of Aizen College in an open space with training dummies. In the open area waited three other students. 

The ravens landed them to the ground in front of the students. 

"Hey, isn't that the kid without a soul animal?" asked the tallest student and the only male among the three and the only dark-skinned person at the moment. His name was Koko Jelani.

"He has a cute eagle." said the shortest among the three, a female with black hair and large brown eyes. She also had a warm aura about her. Her name was Delilah Mochizuki.

"Why would an eagle be following him, that's weird." said the final student under her breath. She was a white-haired girl, the same age as Ezra and wore glasses all the time even at night. She was really beautiful but gave off a terrifying aura that kept most guys away.

"I guess you're all good and welcoming to our new member." said mother Graves.

"He is going to be training with us." said Koko.

"Is their any problem?" asked Mother Graves with a smile that gave mixed signals.

"No, there isn't." said Koko.

"That's what I thought. Now Ezra be free with all of them. They are all as weird and strange as you." said mother Graves.

"Mother Graves." said the three in embarrassment. 

"See, so feel free." 

Mother Graves then introduced the three of students calling the four of them her children. She then explained how Aizen College worked.

The college is considered the best center for anyone trying to grow there soul animal due to its difficult tests and its interesting teaching approach were students would be grouped into groups of 3 to 5 and assigned a mother or father or both. These parents were called growth parents and this made it easy for all the students to grow to their fullest potential before going out into the world to fight monsters and gain experience, helping people.

The parents chose the students they wanted to mentor and many of them had different choosing criteria.

Lilah and Tina were with mother Anastasia, bear user, because they were strong and because they were girls. There fellow students included Adriel, wolf user and Tina's twin sister, and Esme, bear user.

Nova was with mother Pinky, water bear user, and the muscular judge from test two, father Andrew, panda user, because of his freakish strength and because Pinky didn't like large numbers. His fellow student was Eki, lion user. 

These growth parents were tasked with one duty and that was to train the students to be their strongest selves through whatever means necessary.

After the parent introductions, all the students went to their dormitories for their training will begin tomorrow. Though not everyone was as tired as the juniors that night for two students met in a private place near the port of the island.

"What do you want?" asked the male student.

"I need your help, Leviathan." answered the female figure.

"How did you know?" 

"Let's just say I've read a lot about you guys. It's finally time that we brought it back. Don't you think so, Leviathan." 

"Indeed it's finally time that we brought back the old world. It's finally time to rise Eden."
