Chapter 42: Chapter 42 - The Odyssey - Part 9
With her gaze fixed on Hera, Diana asked, "Hera, are you certain you saw a Great Oozaru inside of me? And you said it was protecting my soul?"
Hera, for the first time in her life, wished she could flee from the reality unfolding before her. She was deeply scared by the creature she saw. She sighed and said, "Yes, what you said matches what I saw. So, I believe there is a Great Oozaru guarding your soul. Based on what you've told me, it makes sense that it's there to protect you. This creature is your husband's shadow, a powerful energy that blended with yours. It probably felt my presence, saw it as a danger, and turned into its most basic form to protect you."
Amazed and amused, Diana found herself caught in a whirlwind of thoughts. A part of her, the curious and adventurous side, was itching to witness Orach's Oozaru transformation firsthand. Yet, the more sensible part of her cautioned against such a wish. Knowing Orach, he would probably indulge her without a second thought. The memory of Victor's vision, a stark reminder of the potential dangers, further solidified her decision to heed her sensible side.
However, a sudden realization dawned upon Diana. She wondered if Hera, with her divine consciousness, could help her connect with her power on a deeper level. Perhaps, she could even witness firsthand what Hera had seen during the process. With a spark of hope, she voiced her suggestion, "Hera, could you provide your assistance? I wish to enter my soul space. Could you join me in there? I don't think my God Ki would react badly with me there."
Hera, the queen of gods, found herself at a loss. For the first time, she felt like she was being bullied by a mortal. She really wanted curse out loud scold this mortal for her audacity. However, she had to acknowledge Diana's innovative thinking. The idea that the beast might not attack them with Diana by her side was indeed plausible. With a resolute determination fitting of a queen guiding her subjects, Hera agreed, "Sure, we can try. However, we must retreat at the first sign of trouble. That Great Oozaru is not to be taken lightly!"
Hera and Diana got ready to explore Diana's soul space. Hera left her throne and led Diana to the middle of the room. They sat on the floor, hands touching. Hera told Diana to focus on her God Ki. At the same time, Hera began to channel her divine consciousness into Diana. Soon, they were in their consciousness forms, inside the huge space of Diana's soul.
"Now Diana, we're going to start exploring your soul space. We need to be careful. I know you've seen a lot in your travels. But right now, I want you to just focus on your connection with Orach," Hera said.
Diana nodded, understanding Hera's instructions. She began to recall Orach's face, their shared moments, and the bond they had forged. As she concentrated, she felt a pulse, a call that seemed to resonate within her. Guided by this pulse, Diana led Hera towards its source. The sight that greeted them left them in awe. A bright blue planet with hints of red pulled them closer. It felt like they were falling towards it. Once the clouds cleared, they found themselves in a unique world. Here, technology and nature lived together peacefully. The sight amazed both Diana and Hera.
As they explored, Diana felt calm. She knew this was just the start of their adventure, but she was ready for it. With Hera by her side, she felt brave. She did not know yet, but this journey would change how she saw herself and her powers.
They were shown a futuristic world where cities are a sight to behold, filled with life and energy. Skyscrapers reflect the sun's brilliance, and advanced technologies demonstrate the progress of their inhabitants.
Hovercrafts are always in the sky, showing how advanced this unique world is. But even with all the technology, the people here still care about nature.
When it gets dark, everything lights up with glowing plants and animals. It's a place where technology and nature live together, making it interesting and different all the time.
They continued to fly, immersed in the awe-inspiring beauty of this grand world, when their trajectory smoothly veered towards an open space situated behind an imposing fortress of steel and glass. Its towering silhouette cast an intimidating shadow over the surrounding cityscape, the glow of its emblem, an intricate Ashoka flower petal under a moon, reflected in the shimmering waters below. As they descended, they noted that the space appeared to be a training ground of some sort. However, what caught their attention was the eerie silence that blanketed the area. A silence so profound that it prickled their senses, putting them on high alert.
Suddenly, the faint sound of footsteps echoed in the distance, causing them to turn towards the source. They found nothing but empty space, intensifying the tension that had already started to build within them. They were alone, or so they thought until they heard Diana's voice behind them. "So, how did you find planet Sadala, little ones?"
At the sound of her voice, they instinctively turned around, only to be met with a shock. Standing before them was another Diana, but her appearance was dramatically different. Her eyes burned with an otherworldly intensity, the vibrant pink hue of her hair juxtaposed beautifully against her golden armor, all of it bathed in a divine aura that pulsed around her. The energy she exuded was unlike anything they had ever witnessed – a unique and potent force that radiated from her very core.
