Turning around, behind her was a tall woman who looked at least 1.7 meters tall and was wearing a magician's outfit.

"We are the Mithril-ranked adventurer team 'Moon Shadow.' We might as well have a chat, if possible," the magician said to Aya, and her companions followed behind her.

It went smoothly. Aya looked surprised at first, then readily agreed.

When Aya was using the [Wide Area View] to scout just now, she discovered this Mithril-level team. Then, by observing the reactions of these five people, she roughly deduced that this female magician was the leader of the team.

Aya was very sensitive to the identity of "leader." She subconsciously took a closer look and found something very noteworthy.

The staff and robes of this female magician were both inferior products, but the bell on her wrist, though still inferior in Aya's eyes, was a level higher than her other equipment.

After turning on [High-level Item Identification], it turned out that the attributes were indeed better than those of her other equipment, and it also had an interesting skill: [Lie Identification].

Of course, this skill was of a very low order, so it couldn't even break through Aya's passive detection shield and couldn't detect whether Aya was lying.

However, with this skill, the magician could determine—or at least think she could determine—whether others were lying.

Well, the emergence of a person who claimed to be able to use third-tier magic, along with a companion of equal strength, should be something worth evaluating.

To avoid missing it the first time, Aya deliberately said it twice, even causing a commotion at the venue, so the other party should have noticed it.

The mission they chose was also of Mithril level, which was equivalent to their team's. Generally speaking, adventurers would never have too many capable people. At this point, what were the chances that the other party would come and talk to them?

For a job like adventurer, the more teammates with qualified abilities, the better. However, even so, the chances of them taking the initiative to talk to you wouldn't be particularly high.

After all, it's just someone you just met. Even if you have the ability, you may not be able to get along well with him/her. You must definitely consider it more.

But there was one thing that greatly increased the probability: when Aya turned on the previously closed 'Charming Aura' for a moment, and the moment the female magician looked towards her.

"Let's find a restaurant and talk about it in detail." The female magician made a cautious suggestion, and Aya nodded in agreement.

"You're lucky, Mother...Sir," Camilla said in a low voice.

"Yeah, that's good luck," Aya replied with a smile.

It seems that even if the world changes, the way humans think remains unchanged.

Just like that, following behind the Moon Shadow team, the young ranger Levi, who claimed to be able to use third-level magic, and the female warrior Carly, headed towards the largest hotel in the city.

"Hey, look at that one over there." The man lowered his voice and spoke to his female companion.

"No doubt about it, it's the Duke's daughter," the woman dressed in jewels responded in a low voice and looked towards a corner of the restaurant.

"Cursed 'Angelina,' why is she back again?" The woman said with a look of disgust.

"Shh, speak softly. Don't let her hear you," the man reminded her hurriedly.

This is the most upscale restaurant in the Dragon Kingdom's Kelmais City. It is famous for its fresh and high-end ingredients and its team of skilled chefs. It can be said to be the most luxurious restaurant in the entire city. Being able to dine here shows that this couple is at least wealthy.

But there are also differences in status among wealthy people. For example, that girl is one level higher than them in status.

"Hmph, she has killed two old dukes. I wonder what kind of disaster this time will bring," the woman lowered her voice and spoke viciously.

"Rubbish!" A high-pitched voice suddenly rang out, followed by the crisp sound of porcelain tableware breaking on the floor, which scared the two people who were whispering on the side.

"What kind of rubbish is this? Where is the chef? Come out!" The one who made the noise was the girl who was just being talked about. People around her turned their attention to her.

Thinking he had been discovered, the man breathed a sigh of relief. He thought that the whispering had been noticed. After all, there was a gap in status, and they only dared to talk about her in private.

Wanting to see what was happening over there, the man turned his gaze towards the woman.

The woman had an appearance that could be described as beautiful, and she was also cute, as expected for her age. When she was angry, she had a different kind of youthful beauty.

Angelina Colsweet, the only daughter of the Grand Duke of Maple Moon, impatiently stroked her burgundy hair while tapping on the wooden table with her other hand.

The food at this restaurant is famous for its exquisite taste, but the girl expressed obvious dissatisfaction with the food here.

However, in fact, anyone with a discerning eye could see that the girl was not dissatisfied with the food, but with the people, or even the entire Maple Moon Territory.

The entire land that viewed her as a monster and a curse.

"Not only is the food unpalatable, the environment is also terrible," Angelina shouted loudly, while a short and fat man rushed over from the other side.

"Miss, I am sorry for my negligence. Please forgive me," the short and fat man, the chef of the restaurant, said as he bowed, sweat already dripping down his cheeks.

"I will arrange a private room for you, Miss. It will be ready soon. Please wait for a moment."

With a bored expression, Angelina spoke to the old servant behind her.

"That's enough. I'm going home."

"Miss," the old man with gray hair, black waiter uniform, and a hunched back said, "At least have dinner here first."

After much persuasion, the girl was finally convinced to follow the waiter to the private room on the second floor. At the same time, the guests in the hall breathed a sigh of relief.

"After staying in the same space with her for a long time, I'm afraid that I will become unlucky."

"She looks quite cute, but why is her personality so bad?"

"Whoever marries her in the future will be unlucky."

"Who dares to marry her? Aren't they afraid that their entire family will be wiped out?"

The voices of people talking were very low, but they all reached the girl's ears. She pursed her lips, said nothing, and followed the waiter to the luxury suite at the deepest part.

She walked to the innermost single room, domineeringly drove the waiter out of the room, locked the door, leaving only the old servant in the room. The girl leaned against the door with her back, not saying a word.

Slowly, her body began to fall, and she sat down on the ground with a thud. Angelina hugged her knees, and tears began to flow down her face uncontrollably.

"I'm not cursed..." the girl said in a choked sobbing voice, her tiny voice full of trembling.

"It wasn't me who killed Dad, Grandpa..." She buried her head completely in her knees and cried softly. The old servant beside her could only watch her silently.

Angelina Colsweet, the only daughter of the Duke of Maple Moon and his only legitimate heir, is a gifted third-level magician, but she is called "cursed" by the nobles of Maple Moon.

When she was six years old, her grandfather, who had already resigned as Duke of Maple Moon, was critically ill. Birth, aging, sickness, and death are normal things, and the old Duke died of old age. However, something unusual happened at his bedside.

Angelina, who was only six years old, stood in front of the old duke's bed with her parents and some other nobles, and suddenly said, "Grandpa is going to die."

Less than three seconds after she finished speaking, the old duke stopped breathing.

This is how it all started, and rumors of the 'cursed girl' began to spread quietly.

That would have been fine, because three years later, when Angelina was nine years old, she predicted death again.
