I woke up in some dark and warm place where I couldn't move properly... it was very much like I had died and been reborn, and now woke up in a new body in my mother's womb.

≪It's much simpler than that, you're still inside a huge snake that you still managed to kill... by the way, if you don't get out, you're really going to be reborn.≫

≪If I hadn't treated us, we'd be dead by now. ≫

I'd rather be dead.

≪Stop whining and get out of the snake. ≫

Apparently the snake's stomach acid mixed with its blood and so lost its concentration, which allowed me not to dissolve inside the snake, but just to get chemical burns on my skin, which hurt like hell in the air.

- How I adore this world. - said the naked me, tumbling out into some swamp where the snake had crawled away before it died. Just managed to wash all the blood off of me... along with my hair, and a small layer of skin. If it wasn't for the system slowly healing me, I wouldn't have any chance at all of surviving any further, and now I just need to find a safe place to lay down and heal.

≪And you'd better hurry up and find a safe place. ≫

From behind the hill, a tiger appeared... a twenty metre tiger.....

- Why is everything so huge?! - I started to run to the nearest forest, the tiger ran after me, but when he saw a dead snake, he decided to bite it instead of a running bug.

- My skin burns.

≪ And I'm still suppressing the pain as much as possible. Well, whatever doesn't kill us makes us stronger. You know, think of this world as a game simulation, I think it'll be easier on us psychologically. I can organise quests to make it more like a game.

- I should have pretended it was a game before, not when I've been in this shitty world for almost seven years.

≪You just realise that if we get killed, we die, but it's not the end for us. There's no point in being so picky about your life. Even an agonising death with torture is harmless to us, as I can completely shut down any sensations coming from the body. Our situation is even better than that of the kids from Sword Masters Online, they would have to fight monsters too, but their death would mean real death, while ours is just a rebirth. You know about the possibility of rebirth, we can even retain our memories now, so there's nothing to be so afraid of. ≫

- What about the possibility that our souls could be destroyed? Some kind of local magic.

≪We've been to the Ocean of Chaos, if we survived that, it's nothing. ≫

- I'll think about it. - When the tiger was full, I returned to the corpse of the serpent, and ate the meat, which was still there, and also knocked out four snake fangs, as it seems that even an ordinary bone fragment can save a life, and even a dagger from a snake fang... in general, I need only weapons and food to survive, but the latter is obtained with the help of the former.

Frankly speaking, if I had used my bone daggers to defend myself against the kids who wanted to take away my weapons, I could have easily slaughtered them all, but I thought it would be too cruel to kill kids for the sake of a bone knife, so I tried to talk sense into them with my fists, which was disgusting. Now I'm surrounded by wildlife and wild animals that I can use weapons against without fear.

- By the way, don't we have some kind of spatial pocket or inventory? - I asked, continuing to gut the corpse of the snake, cutting out of it meat, skin and veins, which will be useful to me for clothes and for weapons, I do not even plan to return to the tribe.

≪That's right, theoretically there is, but this ability is blocked, we don't have the energy now to use spatial magic. We'll have to use our hands to carry everything. But with the help of light magic we can become invisible if we don't move, we can also glow in the dark, and the most useful thing is that we can see in the dark. That's all for the beginning, of course, and when you learn how to use Light, you can do whatever you want with it... unfortunately, I only have the most superficial knowledge, so you'll have to learn everything yourself. I'm still surprised I survived in the Ocean of Chaos, I thought I'd die, but we managed to stumble upon some kind of Universe. ≫

- I think that's enough. - I managed to cut off a piece of snake skin with my fangs, and after throwing in some meat, fangs, and veins, I rolled it up and started walking away from the place where other wild beasts were gathering to eat the free meat.

Even if I wanted to go back to the tribe, I just don't know where it is, somewhere in the south, but if I ended up south of the tribe myself, in that case I need to head north. Moving northwards I should also sooner or later reach the centre of the Empire... where the members of the southern tribes are not very welcome, considering them savages... and quite rightly so. With my swarthy skin, I'd better go to the west, where there are also swarthy people, but civilisation is more advanced than in my tribe, although the climate is drier and more desert-like.

Having determined the sides of the world by the sun, I began to move in the given direction... while trying to survive. My mystical abilities helped me in this, especially regeneration, I even lost my hand once, because of another snake, but it was small, but very poisonous, so when it bit me, I had to cut off the hand myself, because I could regenerate a part of my body after a while, but the poison would have killed me in a few tens of seconds. It took me about a week to regenerate my hand, and after that I really started to worry less about my body, as it could regenerate well enough.

Mostly I tried not to fight dangerous beasts, but sometimes I had to fight them, a couple of times I had to use the 'Heartburn' tactic where I jumped into the monster's mouth to kill it from the inside. Several times I sacrificed my hands to be able to kill the beast, while its mouth was occupied by one of my hands, with the other I punched its brain through its eye. A couple of times I had to cut chunks of meat off myself where a snake bit me... in short, I had a pretty fun time.

In battles with monsters I learnt to use Ki to strengthen my blows, I could also strengthen my weapons with Light, which made them stronger and sharper, all of which took energy, both to strengthen and to regenerate, so I had to eat a lot of food, there was plenty of meat, I especially liked to eat the hearts of dangerous beasts, they collected and accumulated their beastly Ki. Blood was also full of this energy, as well as meat, but the meat had to be eaten raw, and almost as soon as the beast was killed, otherwise the energy would quickly disappear, and after roasting on the fire, the meat had a minimum of beast ki.

Within a couple of months, judging by the numbers, I was as strong as I was in my previous life.

So, being only seven years old, I have the strength of a twenty year old guy who worked as a blacksmith... but then I didn't have magic, and a healthy diet... I would even say a healthy diet. Once I was unlucky enough to come across a twenty metre tiger, and there were no dead snake carcasses around, so I had to jump into the jaws of this overgrown cat, and by old-fashioned tactics chop him up from the inside. His heart was the most delicious thing I've ever tasted in this world... but after eating that tiger, my fangs and nails grew quite large, apparently I had more tiger ki than my human ki at that moment. As time went on, my fangs and fingernails became almost the same as they were, only slightly larger than they were before, which didn't bother me much.

The tiger's bone made a good cleaver, which was pretty good at chopping up monsters, though I'd still prefer a normal sword made of metal. What can I say, we don't appreciate what we have, I had a lot of swords at home that I never used for their intended purpose, and now I really need a normal sword, but I don't have one.

I didn't have a map, my route was approximate, but according to my calculations I had travelled about a thousand kilometres in three months, and I must have come close to a human settlement, for I met a group of people in the forest... who were being devoured by a huge eight-metre long white tiger, which despite its smaller size than its standard-coloured and larger counterpart, was definitely stronger, for even the naked eye could see streams of animal ki coming from the tiger, killing people.

- It's so tasty, but it's unlikely that I'll kill it, even with my secret technique, its mouth is not so big that I can jump into it without fear of being chewed. - I watched the fight between the beast and the men, who were apparently some kind of fighting monks, for they tried to attack the tiger with their bare hands. Their blows were really strong, and if they did hit the tiger, the beast whimpered painfully.

I think, if I wait for the end of the fight, there will be a chance that the tiger will kill all his opponents, but at the same time he may weaken, and then I can finish him and eat him.... I have been remembering that tasty twenty-metre tiger for a month now, although a couple of weeks ago I was able to kill a twenty-metre long beast from inside, which resembled a horned turtle, only instead of a shell it had a stone hill, apparently this beast was a vegetarian and ate only trees, for it tasted bland.

Carnivorous beasts contain more energy as they feed on other beasts, eating their Ki along with their flesh, which makes carnivorous beasts seem tastier to me, and the stronger they are, the tastier they are. The beasts try to kill me and eat me, and I do the same, killing them and eating them, sometimes after I've been swallowed.

The battle was coming to an end, the tiger crushed the last attacker with his paw, and taking a couple of human corpses in his teeth, he limped back to his lair, and I followed him. In the cave there were three little tiger cubs, the size of a normal tiger.

- Ooh, how cute, a mummy taking care of her babies. - I said quietly before going into the cave and slaughtering everyone there, killing the huge tigress first. She was breathing quite heavily after the battle with the humans, so she was lying there with her mouth wide open, and I just couldn't help but take that chance. It is much easier to kill a beast from the inside than from the outside, for with my bone sword I cannot pierce the tiger's skin. Even small tiger cubs could barely be hacked to pieces with my sword. I began to eat the animals, starting with their hearts, the adult tiger's heart was tastier, but the young tigers had more tender meat. And then apparently the father of the family returned to the den, where an unpleasant surprise awaited him. After the meal I was charged with animal Ki, and was able to fight with a white male tiger, but to be able to kill him I had to go into the tiger's mouth again, at the same time I lost my legs below the knees, the beast had bitten them off while swallowing me. I eventually killed the tiger, but now I had to regenerate my legs, good thing there was plenty of meat here, and my regeneration got stronger as I got stronger. The legs of the industry were four days old, but they looked like tiger's paws.

- I think my diet is definitely taking its toll on me. - I looked at my legs, and also looked at myself in the puddle of water, my irises were like a cat's, my fangs were beastly, and my hair was white, not to mention the claws instead of nails, - Maybe I should eat a couple of people to regain my human form.

≪Cannibalism is the last thing I need. Just learn to suppress your animal ki and you'll be able to regain your human form... and, yes, we should stop eating strong and dangerous beasts, or we might turn into them... on the other hand, we've always been able to turn into a dragon, so there's nothing wrong with being a werewolf.≫

- Nah, dragons don't really appeal to me for some reason, either dragons were weak or they were wyverns, I don't know much about the local fauna. - I decided to continue westwards, the local people were pale-faced and even if I wanted to go to their village, I wouldn't be in this partially beastly form. I'll visit the settlement when I learn to control myself better. But I got some clothes from those corpses. Dead people didn't make me feel any emotion, and after I had to cut off my own arm, somehow I was less sensitive to such things.

While I was passing through this territory, I met white tigers quite often, apparently this is their habitat, a few of them I couldn't resist and ate.... Well, I ate almost three dozen of them, which made black tiger stripes appear on my skin, and I soon began to grow fur, but when I left the habitat of white tigers, and began to eat other animals, my appearance eventually began to become human again, so I decided to visit the nearest human settlement... I did not know the language, so I had to live in the village for a month before I began to understand the locals. The local language was a mixture of Indian and Chinese, in my tribe everyone communicated in Thai..... I had just had a holiday in Thailand once, and I had also travelled to China with my grandfather, so I could pick up some similar words.

While I was learning the local language, I worked as a hunter, and sold animal carcasses at the local market, where I was also able to buy more suitable clothes, and even a sword... a rather disgusting one, my bone one was better for chopping animals. The blacksmith had been eaten by tigers, so the metalwork was done by his uneducated apprentice, about four years older than me, so he was a child who guarded his place very zealously, and when I asked him for permission to use the forge, he chased me away, afraid that I would be a better blacksmith and take his place, and he would have to find a new job. How selfish people are in this world... it must be the influence of the huge monsters that can devour them at any moment, which is why they value their lives above all else. Then I'll try my luck elsewhere, but I need to renew my weapons and I'd better make them myself... I'm not tall yet, but I have enough strength to swing a hammer.

I was now in the west of the empire, and if I keep going westwards, I'll get to Putra, a small desert state, which the empire doesn't even try to conquer, as they don't need the desert, except for sending people to the tomb of the dead ancient emperor of Putra, where they say there are incredible treasures. If you go northeast, you'll get to the capital of the Empire, and if you go north, you'll get to the cold northern lands where the mountains are full of strong monsters.

Well... I was interested in the treasures of Putra's tomb, so I went west, and then I'll go north to taste the northern monsters. Though I've also heard legends from the locals about an incredibly huge white tiger that lives not far away in the mountains just north of this settlement. It is most likely a super class monster, that is, one of the strongest monsters in the world. It will definitely have to be tried, but super class monsters, alone can easily destroy a town, so it should definitely not be approached right now.
