JoJo's bizarre adventure: Scarlett legacy

Chapter 17: Hamon Engraving 101

"I AM STRONGER OLDER SMART..."

PAH!

A slap launched by Rosalina immediately landed on Mardon's face leaving him shocked and speechless.

"DAMN"

Mardon stared at Rosalina, his mouth hanging open in sheer disbelief.

He wanted to rant, to protest, but the memory of the brutal beatdown that left him in this state made him think twice.

Swallowing his pride, he kept his mouth shut.

Rosalina simply Patted Mardon's head and said:

"A good dog should know when to bow it's master... good boy"

Ethan looked at her with a frown and said:

"Isn't what you're doing go against everything you asked me, you're treating it like well....an it???"

The questions Rosalina had asked him gave Ethan an idea of her character...a righteous prick.

But her current actions made her seem like a self-centered hypocrite, a trait he deeply disliked.

"Well those questions were meant to analyse your character not to establish mine"

Rosalina opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue as saliva began to drip.

At first, it was runny, but it gradually thickened, hardening until it formed a thin, sharp needle.

She took the needle and slashed Mardon's body with such speed that Ethan could only see blurs of movement.

The jugular vein, brachial artery and every major artery and vein were cut with precision.

None of the strikes were immediately fatal, but they ensured one outcome: Mardon would bleed out, helpless to stop it.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU CUNT!!! WRYYYYYYYYYY!!!! BUKKOROSHITE YARU, KONO BAIJO NO MUSUME GA!!!"

Rosalina's smile vanished the moment Mardon's insults reached her ears.

For a brief moment, tension filled the air, but then she exhaled slowly, regaining her composure.

Without a word, she reached out and placed her hand on his face, her movements eerily controlled.

The blood seeping from Mardon's wounds began to take shape, forming countless small, red chains.

As they solidified, they took on an unnatural quality elastic yet as hard as diamond.

The chains twitched, then shot outward like grappling hooks, latching onto the surrounding pillars, the ground, and nearby walls with brutal force.

In an instant, Mardon was yanked off the ground, his body forcefully suspended in midair.

The chains pulled in different directions, stretching his limbs to their limits.

Every movement sent sharp pain through him as the unyielding chains threatened to tear him apart, piece by piece.

"WRRRRRYYYYYY!!!! Shine, kono orokana baijo. Moshi jiyū ni nattara, omae o koroshite, ikita mama kutte yaru"

Ethan looked at Rosalina and said:

" This thing is very disrespectful, to use so many derogatory terms without hesitation is very concerning..."

"Hehehe, your body should be used to the flow of Hamon by now," Rosalina grinned coldly before continuing:

"A hunter marks its prey to establish a status quo. I am here to teach you Hamon Engraving."

Rosalina channeled Hamon through the needle, pressing it against Mardon's back as she moved with precise, deliberate strokes.

His flesh became her canvas, and with an almost unnatural speed and flow, she etched a masterpiece into his skin.

Ethan watched in disbelief as the image took the form of a Greek god-like statue, carved with a rapid yet refined pace, every detail immaculate despite the brutal method of its creation.

"WRYYYYYYYYYY!!! Mōshiwake arimasen Kuiaratameru tsumori desu. Dōka yurushite kudasai, jihibukaki shi Rozarīna, monsutā sureiyā PLEASE FORGIVE ME!!!!"

The art on Mardon's back glowed like molten lava, emitting a sharp sizzling sound as if his flesh were being branded. Ethan watched the spectacle unfold before shifting his gaze to Rosalina.

"Why is it making so much noise? If it can heal in seconds, isn't he being a little too dramatic?" he asked, unimpressed.

Rosalina simply smiled and said:

"Hamon breaks down the cells of the undead at a fundamental level, stripping them of their ability to heal or regenerate.

Every wound inflicted by Hamon is not just painful it's lethal and permanent."

Ethan looked at Mardon and noticed the shift, he was no longer begging for mercy.

His expression was frozen in silent agony, his eyes wide with the urge to cry out, to scream....But he didn't.

No, to be precise, he didn't dare to.

Ethan noticed that Mardon's will to survive wasn't just broken it was utterly crushed, not by hopelessness, but by fear.

Rosalina didn't just overpower him; she commanded him through sheer presence, asserting dominance with unsettling calmness.

For a brief moment, Ethan felt his Excalibur rise in response, an instinctive reaction to the scene before him.

But he quickly forced himself to calm down, pushing the thought aside.

Ethan cough and asked:

"After your engraving... facade, what is going to happen to him is there some kind of prison or something"

"Well, if other undead see that he received an engraving, he'll be killed on sight," Rosalina paused for a moment, letting the weight of her words settle.

Then, with a cold smile, she added: "I'll be merciful enough to let you kill him... that's a final verdict, by the way."

'NO NO NO MADNESS MADNESS MADNESS I CAN'T DIE I CAN'T DIE....A SAD BACKSTORY '

Mardon looked into Ethans with a gaze of regret, despair an attempt of looking for sympathy, he then sniffed his nose and said:

"When I was young I lived on streets, hunger was.."

"Yeah, I don't give a fuck. What am I supposed to do, feel pity for you? Think that you can be saved?" Ethan grinned, his voice dripping with disdain.

"You're going to die here, and apparently, I have to kill you myself. And I will," he continued, his tone warm and resolute. "Don't make this harder for yourself. Don't pretend to be a victim."

Mardon began to tremble as he heard Ethan's words.

The law of the jungle was simple kill or be killed, and if you kill, be ready to be killed. Yet, despite that, Mardon didn't want to die.

Rosalina had a notorious reputation, but Ethan was supposed to be naive, soft.

For him to be so resolute, though, meant his hatred for the undead ran deep.

"I am done," Rosalina chuckled as she stood up and began to move away from Mardon. She made a gesture, causing Ethan to step forward.

"I-I-I CAN CHANGE! I CAN BECOME A RAT IF YOU WANT TOO, I CAN LICK YOUR SHOES! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!!!"

Ethan slowly placed his palms on Mardon's rotting face, his tone warm.

"What about Krowe? What about your loyalty to him?"

"KROWE??? FUCK THAT GUY! I DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT HIM! YES, I'M NOT ASSOCIATED WITH HIM, SO SPARE ME PLEASE!!!"

Ethan sighed, shaking his head as he looked down at Mardon. "A loyal dog should be willing to die for its master... and since you don't know anything about Krowe, you're more useful to me dead than alive."

He slowly began to breathe and after a few seconds he felt warmth course through his body, he then noticed yellow electric sparks cover his hands.

"WRRRRRYYYYYY!!! PLEASE DON'T- ARGGGGGGHHH!!!!!!"

Mardon began to scream as he felt hamon course through his body, he slowly began to sizzle as he melted and after a few seconds he was nothing but a puddle of goo.

Ethan paused for a brief moment, looked at Rosalina and asked:

"That's done so what's next"

Rosalina immediately summoned Prism alchemy and began to transform Mardon's goo into a trash can, she then looked at Ethan and said:

"What's supposed to be done"
