Chapter 390: Small-scale Teleportation Array
Chapter 390: Small-scale Teleportation Array
Lin Fengmian was overjoyed when he realized that she had agreed. “Thank you, Senior Aunt!”
Zhao Ningzhi stood up, stretched lazily, and said, “I’m doing this for Mei. As a master, I can’t just stand by and watch her die.”
Lin Fengmian understood the risks Zhao Ningzhi was taking. If he didn’t return, her responsibility would be immense.
Even if he returned unscathed, if the truth were exposed, she would incur Shangguan Yuqiong’s wrath.
Yet, she still agreed to help. It seemed that she truly cared for Liu Mei and wasn’t as heartless as he had imagined.
Of course, Zhao Ningzhi also had her own reasons. If Liu Mei died, all of her investments would be wasted.
Seeing Lin Fengmian standing there awkwardly, she gave him a coquettish glance and patted her slender waist.
“Kid, I have the sect master’s spies watching me. You know what to do. We have to make this look convincing.”
“Follow me to my secluded chamber. I have a way to send you out without anyone noticing.”
Lin Fengmian understood immediately and reached out to embrace her voluptuous waist, smiling. “I apologize for the insult, Senior Aunt.”
Zhao Ningzhi chuckled. “It’s okay. You can offend me a bit more if you’d like.”
Lin Fengmian couldn’t help but laugh, pulling her closer so that her soft, voluptuous body pressed against him.
“Then I will accept your offer.”
Zhao Ningzhi giggled, swaying her hips as she led Lin Fengmian through the back courtyard toward her private chambers.
Along the way, they encountered several low-level servant girls who bowed to her. These were disciples with poor spiritual roots who were forced to serve as servants.
Although these servant girls didn’t have the freedom of regular disciples, they were still on the path of cultivation and had the potential to improve.
Under the surprised gazes of these disciples, Lin Fengmian held Zhao Ningzhi’s waist and joked with her as they made their way to her secluded cave.
Lin Fengmian had once wondered why cultivators preferred to cultivate in caves, for fear of developing rheumatism.
Later on, he realized that it wasn’t because cultivators had a fondness for living like cavemen.
It wasn’t that they wanted to eat wind and drink dew, and that they wanted to have a more ethereal appearance by living in caves.
The truth was that spiritual veins and springs were usually deep inside mountains, rarely on the surface.
Unless you flattened the mountain or went to great lengths to divert the spiritual vein, you had to dig into the mountain to build a cave dwelling.
The female disciples of the Joyful Union Sect usually lived in elegant pavilions on the mountainside, but when they needed to close for cultivation, they had to retreat into the caves.
The two of them, acting boldly in front of the Jade Bamboo Peak disciples, arrived at Zhao Ningzhi’s cave entrance.
Zhao Ningzhi instructed the disciple guarding the door, “Nephew Lin and I are going to cultivate. Stand guard for me. Don’t disturb us for the next three days.
The disciple nodded. “Yes, Senior Aunt!”
Lin Fengmian smiled. “Every moment of this spring night is priceless. Senior Aunt, let’s hurry.”
Zhao Ningzhi gave him a playful glare, flirtatiously pinching his waist. “You are so impatient.”
She ignored the restrictions of the cave and led Lin Fengmian inside.
Although Zhao Ningzhi’s cave dwelling was built deep inside the mountain, it was exceptionally elegant. The abundant spiritual energy inside was several times stronger than outside.
The tastefully decorated room had a large, soft bed in the center, with pink curtains creating an intimate atmosphere.
Lin Fengmian, who was holding Zhao Ningzhi’s voluptuous body, inhaled the strong scent around him and felt a surge of desire.
Zhao Ningzhi pulled Lin Fengmian toward the bed, and his breathing grew heavier.
Damn it, there was even a lingering incense burning here?
The fragrance was far stronger than what Liu Mei had used, and with his lower cultivation level, Lin Fengmian instantly felt his mind clouding over, his thoughts turning lustful.
“Elder Aunt, why did you bring me to the bed?”
“What do you think? Take me!”
Zhao Ningzhi giggled, making Lin Fengmian wonder if he had been tricked.
Was this woman not going to let him go after all?
Zhao Ningzhi suddenly reached out and pinched him, discovering his rising excitement.
She chuckled. “You’re reacting. How about we play a little first? I can pass on some of my life skills to you and help you unleash your full power.”
Lin Fengmian found himself pulling her into his arms, his hands wandering over her peaks, his rationality slipping under the influence of his desires.
If he used the Demon Emperor Technique to absorb her energy, he could easily reach the fourth layer of the Foundation Establishment Realm, right?
Zhao Ningzhi stopped Lin Fengmian’s wandering hand, turning around to lightly touch his lips, releasing a puff of pink mist.
She giggled. “Are you tempted? Do you really want to spar with your senior aunt?”
Lin Fengmian’s rationality returned, and he felt a wave of fear. He forced a smile. “I got a little carried away.”
Zhao Ningzhi smiled seductively. “I wouldn’t mind letting you absorb some Yin energy, but I’m afraid you’d get lost in it and find it hard to stop.”
She caressed his face, tempting him. “There’s no rush. Come back later and I’ll show you my skills.”
Lin Fengmian, though cautious, had no choice but to nod. “I look forward to it.”
After all, he needed her help.
With a sigh, he had to sacrifice a bit of his dignity.
Zhao Ningzhi suddenly pushed the large bed aside, revealing a complex array on the floor.
“A small-scale teleportation array?” Lin Fengmian asked in surprise.
“Oh, you recognize it? Impressive,” Zhao Ningzhi said, looking at him with some surprise. She giggled. “This is my secret. Don’t tell anyone, okay?”
This small-scale teleportation array had taken her a great deal of effort to set up, meant for escape in emergencies.
She hadn’t expected to use it herself, but instead, she was letting this young man use it first.
Lin Fengmian nodded. “I will keep this confidential and not reveal it to anyone.”
Zhao Ningzhi skillfully activated the array and then handed him a small teleportation talisman and a storage ring.
“Here is the small teleportation talisman and some essentials. Hurry back.”
Lin Fengmian took the storage ring and the talisman, looked at the activated array, and laughed boldly.
“Senior Aunt, wait for my return. We’ll have a great battle.”
Zhao Ningzhi giggled. “Do you believe I could leave you exhausted, barely able to stand?”
“I believe it, but Senior Aunt’s ‘warm-heartedness’ is overwhelming. Since I have nothing to offer, I can only give it my all.”
Since the array needed time to activate, Lin Fengmian didn’t mind flirting with her a bit more.
Zhao Ningzhi’s gaze swept downward, her meaning clear. “Isn’t that something? Didn’t anyone tell you when you were young that you would grow up to be extraordinary?”
Lin Fengmian immediately backed down, awkwardly replying, “Yes, but I don’t think they meant it that way.”
Zhao Ningzhi laughed so hard that her shoulders shook. Seeing the array activate, she waved her hand. “Go. Oh, and this array can only be used by one person. Don’t bring Liu Mei and the others back through here.”
Lin Fengmian nodded, stepped into the array, and waved. “Got it, Senior Aunt. See you later.”
A flash of light enveloped him, and he disappeared from the cave, leaving Zhao Ningzhi alone.
She moved the bed back into place, lying on it with a bored expression on her face. “The next three days will be a bit boring. I need to find some entertainment.”
Her hand wandered unconsciously over her body, then moved downward.
Moments later, the cave echoed with soft moans and heart-pounding breaths.
“Lin…”
