Join Tang San and Get Xiao Wu

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: A Wall Apart

Xiao Wu, despite her exhaustion, stepped forward decisively to support Meng Bei.

"Who says the Master is anyone's elder here? As far as I know, he's in the wrong. Why should Meng Bei have to apologize? I think it's the Master who should come and apologize!"

Tang San sighed heavily, rubbing his temples.

"Xiao Wu, why are you making things worse? Come on, help me talk to Meng Bei instead!"

As Tang San reached out to grab Xiao Wu's arm, she quickly avoided his touch.

Meng Bei had told her explicitly: Tang San is not allowed to touch her.

Furthermore, she remembered what Meng Bei had just taught her to say. Though the words pained her heart, the thought of enjoying a week of his promised attentiveness swayed her.

"Third Brother, don't touch me. This will be the last time I call you that. Meng Bei is my real brother. The Master bullied Meng Bei, and you sided with the Master. You don't see me as family at all. Go back to your Master; I'll be leaving with Meng Bei!"

Tang San froze in place, utterly stunned.

After a long pause, he forced a smile, his eyes filled with hope, almost pleading.

"Xiao Wu, don't say things like that. You're joking, right? Please don't do this. We… we grew up together!"

His voice carried a heartbreaking desperation.

Xiao Wu hesitated upon hearing this, her mind flooded with memories of their childhood together. She wanted to confess that the words she'd spoken weren't her own, that Meng Bei had coerced her.

But as she tried to gather the courage, Meng Bei's domineering figure loomed in her mind, shattering her fond memories of Tang San.

That despicable man had completely claimed her, forcing her to do unspeakable things daily. Worse, her body had begun to crave him, a fact she deeply resented.

Tears welled in her heart. I'm sorry, Third Brother.

Xiao Wu already belongs to someone else now.

The thought of Meng Bei's promise was too enticing to refuse.

With her resolve hardened, Xiao Wu crushed the hope in Tang San's voice.

"Go back to your Master. Meng Bei is my true family!"

With that, Xiao Wu turned and left.

Tang San stood motionless, staring at her retreating figure. His heart felt as if it had turned to ashes.

He had never imagined that Xiao Wu would want to leave him.

Before, he thought her departure was just a childish tantrum over Meng Bei's conflict with the Master. A little coaxing would resolve everything. But now, it was clear that Xiao Wu truly wanted to sever ties with him.

He turned to Meng Bei, clinging to a sliver of hope.

But Meng Bei's rejection was resolute.

"Xiao Wu is right. It's the Master who's in the wrong. Why should I apologize? As long as the Master doesn't come to me and apologize, I won't return to Shrek!"

"With my talent, the world is vast. There's nowhere I can't go."

Tang San fell silent, unable to refute Meng Bei's words.

At that moment, no one seemed to remember that the Master was, in fact, the victim in all of this.

Victim-blaming—a concept Meng Bei had mastered in his past life—was proving to be highly effective in this world as well.

Just then, Ning Rongrong emerged.

She had overheard Meng Bei's words and walked up to him.

Meng Bei instinctively pulled her into his arms.

"If you're unsure where to go, why not come with me back to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan? I can introduce you to Sword Grandpa and Bone Grandpa. I guarantee they'd teach you better than that so-called Master!"

Her words left Tang San feeling conflicted.

Technically, Ning Rongrong's comment had belittled his Master, something that should have angered him.

Yet, he found himself unable to muster any indignation.

After all, the names of Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo were renowned across the continent. Comparing them to the Master—whose spirit rank was only 29—was, in truth, a mismatch.

Tang San left, dejected.

Before he departed, he made several attempts to persuade Xiao Wu to stay.

But Xiao Wu didn't even look at him.

By then, Meng Bei, Xiao Wu, and Ning Rongrong had already returned to their hotel room, leaving Tang San outside under the scorching sun, calling out in vain.

Inside the room, Xiao Wu blushed as she held Meng Bei's hand.

"Not now, please. Not at this moment!"

Meng Bei didn't push her.

"You did great earlier, Xiao Wu. Starting now, I'm all yours for a week."

He leaned in and gently kissed her earlobe.

Xiao Wu immediately melted, her body collapsing into his arms.

Her rabbit ears drooped into Meng Bei's hands.

The ears—her most sensitive part—were a wellspring of sensation.

"What's the matter, Xiao Wu?" Meng Bei asked innocently.

Outside, Tang San continued his heartfelt pleas.

His words were sincere, each one laced with the hope of mending their bond.

But Xiao Wu couldn't hear him.

She was overwhelmed by more intense sensations as Meng Bei skillfully teased her.

Meng Bei pressed her against the hotel's glass window, where she had a clear view of Tang San standing outside, shouting under the scorching sun.

Fortunately, the glass was one-way. Tang San couldn't see Xiao Wu, nor could he see Meng Bei exerting his dominance.

Believing his words lacked sincerity, Tang San began recounting cherished memories he and Xiao Wu had shared at the academy.

Meanwhile, Meng Bei didn't let up in his "punishment" of Xiao Wu.

The thrill of humiliating the "childhood friend" in front of his "childhood sweetheart" made the act all the more exhilarating for him.

Eventually, a defeated and parched Tang San staggered back to Shrek Academy.

Coincidentally, Xiao Wu, too, was utterly spent, her throat dry from the night's exertions.

"Give me water!" she commanded weakly.

Obediently, Meng Bei brought a cup of water, gently feeding her sip by sip.

For the next seven days, he was entirely hers. Of course, he had to fulfill her every demand.

Meanwhile, Tang San returned to Shrek Academy.

The moment he stepped inside, the others rushed up to him, concerned.

"How did it go? Did Meng Bei come back?"

"What did he say?"

"Is he really quitting Shrek?"

Tang San nodded dejectedly.

"Yes, not only him. Xiao Wu and Rongrong are leaving with him as well."

"What?!"

Everyone was stunned.

They could understand Ning Rongrong's decision to some extent, but Xiao Wu?

Tang San, unwilling to discuss the matter further, muttered, "Don't ask. I'm going to talk to the Master. Meng Bei said he'll only return if the Master apologizes to him personally. Otherwise, he's leaving. Rongrong even said she plans to take him back to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, where Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo would train him personally."

"What?!"

The revelation left everyone in disbelief.

Even the typically aloof Dai Mubai couldn't help but comment, his tone tinged with envy.

"Well, Meng Bei's practically hit the jackpot!"

Ignoring their discussions, Tang San headed straight for the Master's quarters.

He couldn't afford to lose Xiao Wu, and that meant persuading the Master to apologize.
