John Snow is A Girl

Chapter 65: Burn The Castle

Deanerys is encouraged by her advisors to marry this Aegon so she can have an iron clad ally but she sent a letter to Olivia asking her to visit. Olivia showed up one afternoon as the council members were about to disperse.

"Danny! Hug." She opens her arms wide and unlike before when she tried hugging her aunt, no one stood in her way. Seeing the absence of the old man she tactfully didn't ask. She turned to the unsullied general "I hear you were giving my dukes a lot of problems in the iron Islands? Good job."

Danny looks like she is going to roll her eyes. "I called you because I need... advice." This statement intrigued Olivia. A rare appreciation for her aunt couldn't help but sprout in the depth of her heart.

"Many people with as much power as you wouldn't be caught dead asking for advice to someone whose not bowing and kneeling to them." She walked into the meeting room remembering her last visit with the Baratheon family but her mood is quickly soured by the faces in the meeting table.

"Oh? The Tyrells have changed sides so soon?" She looked at Willas. The young man who would smile before looked to have been hardened by some sort of trauma.

The table has Willas, Oberyn Martel, Tyrion Lannister, Theon Greyjoy and his sister Yara Greyjoy. The look Yara gave her as she entered would burn if it can transmit flames of fury.

"I want to respect others but lady, it would be better if we each held our hostility for the duration of this meeting yes?" She looked at Yara who got even angrier and stood up slapping the table.

"You have the nerves to say that after forcing your way into my home and turning my people into slaves to work in the mines for you to extort 'OUR' own resources for you!" The iron born princess is boiling mad.

"Okay hold on to your rage for the right people princess of thieves and radars. The one who attacked your home is an army under my dukes. They have freedom to conquer whichever part of the world they want with their own power. They were mad that your people attacked the kingdom." Olivia insulted and explained in one breath.

Yara's face turned green as she spoke through clenched teeth. "What did you call me?"

Olivia doesn't seem bothered in the slightest by her increasing anger and said calmly "Princess of thieves and radars."

"I am NOT a princess." Yara said but Olivia raised an eyebrows and mocked "That's the part that offends you?"

"Alright we did not meet to trade insults." Tyrion said not meeting Olivia's eyes.

"What's wrong lord Tyrion? Are you also angry at me?" She sat down next to Dany and took a piece on the table board.

"You did kill the man's brother." Oberyn said.

"He was being unreasonable. You know how stupid your brother was when it came to that slut sister of yours." The people looked at her and she just shrugged.

"What? It's Cersei! Even a nun will curse at her." They didn't answer but there is a hum of agreement around the table.

"Olivia, as someone who uncovered Varys schemes, what would you advice me to do with the young man named Aegon?" Deanery asked Olivia straight forwardly.

"The worse thing you can do is to marry the chomp." Olivia said also in a straight forward manner.

"With all due respect, he has tens of thousands of men." Tyrion said.

"The men who will work for you if you had more money than Aegon." Oberyn said smugly.

"He is the male descendent of my .... our blood. Do you suggest killing him?" Deanerys asked but Olivia shook her head.

"The problem here is that he is male and we all know the Westeros lords despise women rulers. You need to show everyone that you will not be over looked for a man.

This is the only chance you have to change the status quo. If you want to preserve whatever remnants of Targaryen blood then you may marry him. But only years after you have conquered and ruled Westeros into a stable iron clad kingdom.

This can only happen after you have consolidated your power, and he can not be 'king' but ...."

"Consort." Tyrion understood.

"He is just a wild seed, his claim is less than yours and he was defeated by you as soon as you met. He has no right to be 'king' after all that you have gone through to get here. Do not let this one bump on the road be your undoing. You will be turned into a footnote in someone else's book." Olivia advised.

"How do I ensure he doesn't become a problem while I am fighting a war?" The queen asked knowing how treacherous the waters in this place can be.

"In any case, is this the only thing you asked me here for?" Olivia asked because she has a trip to Meereen.

"There is another issue, my advisors are all influenced by one emotion or another. I have subdued most allies of the iron queen but now that it is kings landing turn we don't seem to agree on anything."

The war has been long and lately all these people do is disagree with each other. Frankly she was tempted to marry and let her husband deal with the rest.

"What seems to be the problem?" Olivia asked intrigued.

"Well, Cersei is not going to submit easily and with what I know about her she now has a large army hired from across the narrow seas with the help of Euron Greyjoy with what men he could smuggle out from under your men in the iron islands. The iron bank gave her a large sum of gold because she promised to pay them with my dragons."

"Then there's the alchemist she is keeping there who is crazy enough to use his knowledge to make an army of what looks to be dead people." That last part surprised Olivia.

"Can you elaborate on this topic of dead people you just mentioned?" Olivia's eyes turned cold. To be honest she had first thought it was just a joke when someone reported this to her previously.

"Cersei has found a way to raise the people who have died on the streets of kings landing from hunger and diseases since the start of war and turned them into a formidable army that is keeping guard around the city." Willas said with his hands clenched.

"There was a large incidence of the queen being humiliated on the streets of kings landing under the orchestration of Queen Margery and her brother Loras. While they were waiting for the queen she had many children release small gas bombs which turned everyone into a walking dead. They all essentially died and turned into a group of corpses." Tyrion explained.

"They seem to follow the alchemist's instructions and little by little this army has been growing steadily. Where they are finding these bodies? no one knows. It appears the the alchemist was intrigued by the prospect of a night king. It just so happens that Cersei is a crazy woman who would do anything for power." He continues to explain.

When Olivia heard about it she is shocked but upon thinking clearly about it, this is a genius idea.

"An army she doesn't have to feed or house in this cold weather. Why didn't I think of it?" She said with a light tone. The people around the table watched her with caution.

"Rumor has it this army doesn't last for too long before their bones turn into dust. I am afraid if I wait too long to take kings landing by then it will be a city of bones." Deanerys said with visible anger.

"You left her with very little choice. But I don't know what is it you're hoping for me to advise you to do?" Olivia asked intrigued.

"The popular opinion is that I storm the city with overwhelming power leaving her no chance to pull tricks. While my hand thinks a merciful approach is more favorable. I now have two extremes but there could only be one plan." Hearing her serious enquiry, Olivia contemplated.

"Who said there must only be these options? Have you forgotten all that you have done? Or is it because the people of kings landing are not slaves so you have forgotten how you took over Meereen and Yunkai? This time send your men to butcher all those wearing Lannister armor and open the gates for you. But first capture that alchemist."

"They'll be expecting such actions from us." Tyrion said

"Fine. Then get rid of the wall altogether. Did you forget how I singlehandedly turned a monumental structure into fine sand? You could also infiltrate the city little by little over a span of a week, a month even two months if you care that much for those lives. Personally I recommend flying over the red keep and burning the castle to the ground."

Gasps rang around the table. But Olivia defened "Hear me out. That castle doesn't represent you the dragon who brought magic back into the world. The one who has made impossible things possible around the known world. It is a house build by a man who couldn't control himself."

"How dare you!" Deanerys stood up.

" My point is that when you finally seat on the seat of power it should be at a place that will represent you. You are not just another Targaryen if you were, you would have perished a long time ago. You are a Khalisi, mother of dragons. hundred years and no one had seen a living dragon and with your breath they exist again."

The room quieted down but Tyrion looked at her oddly.

"What?" Olivia asked.

"You have dragons." He said but Olivia waved him off.

"That's different." She said. The queen in the head seat stiffened.

"Why? I heard your dragons are bigger than those of our queen." Oberyn asked and many people shifted in their seats.

"My dragons are just that, my own children not a symbol of a dead dynasty coming back to life. They are not the Targaryen dragons but Olivia Snow's dragons."

"I still fail to grasp..." Tyrion didn't finish when he saw Deanerys look at him with an intense gaze.

"They are not a conquers weapon. Rather than attack and subdue kingdom's my children are used to defending their home." Olivia explained the difference between her and Deanerys and everyone finally understood.

"What is your point." Deanerys spoke after a long while.

"This is the quickest way to capture kings landing." Willas said.

"I don't agree. The red keep is not just the seat of power, it represents the most noble house in the seven kingdoms." Deanerys refused.

"There is another way that will work just as well." Tyrion looks at Olivia and after hesitating he continues. "Our queen has power there's no doubt but it is not overwhelming. If the queen of the true North were to fly her two dragons alongside the queen's dragons then this will not take a day to end in our favor."

"That won't work. Dany can not be seen having relied on the strength that belongs to others and it will gain more reputation for the enemy." Olivia said flatly.

"That makes a lot of sense but the war has been dragging on for too long and this way people will know the two Targaryens are allies so they don't try to pin you two against each other." Tyrion pressed.

"Count me out." Olivia said sternly.

"She is right. Let it go Lord hand." Rescued by Deanerys she stood up ready to leave.

"I think I have had enough southerner politics for the time being." Olivia said.

"Can we speak before you leave?" Deanerys asked and Olivia obliged.

"How is he?" The queen asked with a rare smile that showed pain and deep affection. Olivia showed understanding.

"He is well. Full of energy and loves learning new things. But he is also lonely at times and is too mature for his own good." Olivia shared with a smile of her own. It is obvious she is very fond the boy. How can she not? He is adorable.

Deanerys took Olivia's hand. "Thank you. You have no idea how much I miss him and wish to hold him in my arms but you were right, my path is bloody he would have been targeted many times if he had stayed by my side. You are a ray of sunshine to me still, just like back then."

Olivia saw the fatigue of carrying all that power and responsibility in her aunty's eyes. She wants to trust Olivia so desperately that she is grasping because Olivia is a wildest of cards. If she decides to go against her it will be all over.

Olivia pulled the other girl into a warm hug. "I think even if you were not my family I would like you. You are the picture of women empowerment in a man dominated world you have stood and fought and endured God knows how much." Olivia looked at Deanerys in the eyes and spoke with a serious tone.

"I will not go against you in this life as long as you don't go against me. You don't have to trust or rely on mm. I know you are strong but if you ever need me personally, I will be there for you as God is my witness." Olivia kissed her cheek and disappeared mysteriously from her spot.

Deanerys is both touched and amazed at how Olivia could read her so openly. Her unease must have been too obvious to hide from Olivia. Smiling, she resume her tasks.

Today is the official opening day of the imperial academy in the grand duchy. To the surprise of the northern lords they were all invited to witness this monumental event.

Having gotten a small break from constant war with the Ironborn these months after the humiliating defeat of Euron Greyjoy and his army of raiders at that time, the North finds itself free enough to attend such an event even though they had already blacklisted the place in their hearts.

The reason is simple. This 'prestigious' school takes children of low birth and have them receive the same treatment as those of high status. It goes against the values cultivated for hundreds of years.

However no one in the true North cares about their opinions. The road has been finished for a long while now. The tar road's dark color is especially glaring against a snowy grass a distance away from the heavy wooded railings and the walking paths on either side of the road.

The overall picture comes together beautifully when combined with the residential homes arranged neatly a long distance from the main road. Those riding towards the other side of the kingdom would occasionally pull back their curtains and enjoy the view.

There are even beautiful parks with large space where stone and wooden resting places are put it looks very good. The constant falling snow is quickly melted away on the ground where people are expected to seat and converse. The paths, roads, parks and playgrounds are all fitted with warm stone.

Minor lords all wanted to perform exceptionally in their duties as a result many beautiful and practical plans were implemented for all the small towns and large three cities surrounding areas where they have jurisdiction.

Olivia was especially pleased when she saw everyone who lives in her kingdom living a good life.

"She must really have magic. I have been here before and suddenly that treacherous path is smooth and the hills are flat at some places." One northerner said with a bright expression.

There are places that look magical such as a giant iceberg that seem to be surrounded by crystal trees and snowy paths. This place is so otherworldly and beautiful that people subconsciously want to enter it.

The sign says 'Ice Crystal Resort' and there are guards placed on the entrance. No one dared to force their way in but inquired about the place.

This ceremony for the imperial academy opening is an excuse for Olivia to introduce several fun places she had designed in order to swindle money from her citizens and outside tourists.
