-Third Person POV-
A sudden burst of brilliant light, blinding and transient, transported Gojo Satoru to a completely different environment.
Gone were the bustling, loud streets of modern Tokyo, replaced by a stark, snow-covered forest that evoked images of Siberia or Alaska. The biting cold assaulted Satoru's senses, prompting an instinctive reinforcement of Cursed Energy to ward off the freezing temperatures.
With the immediate threat of cold addressed, he turned his attention to his unfamiliar surroundings. He blinked, his gaze sweeping from left to right as he assessed the situation. The sensation of uncertainty gnawed at him as he realized that something significant was amiss.
He attempted to squeeze his right arm, trying to feel if something he had held onto previously was still there. However, all he grasped was the icy chill of the air itself.
'That girl... Where did she go? I was holding onto her...' Satoru thought to himself, confusion clouding his usually composed mind. He had a vague recollection of her Cursed Energy, her face, and the sense of urgency that had surrounded their encounter before the sudden displacement.
'Never mind, she's not here. I remember her presence.' He shook his head, proceeding to put some effort into memorizing her presence, just in case. Dismissing her disappearance for future investigation.
For now, he focused on the pressing matter at hand.
"Hmm... This definitely isn't Tokyo," Satoru muttered as he took a secondary glance at the surroundings, a blend of nonchalance and bewilderment in his voice, his hand scratching the back of his head. The stark contrast between the snowy wilderness and the urban jungle of Tokyo was unmistakable.
In an effort to shed light on his predicament, Satoru lowered his shades, unleashing the full power of the Six Eyes. His bright blue eyes, now fully engaged in a comprehensive analysis of the world around him, led him to a startling conclusion that left even him stupefied.
"This... is not Earth," he said, a mixture of wonder and disbelief coloring his tone.
Satoru's piercing gaze detected an enigmatic energy, wholly distinct from Cursed Energy, permeating the world. It wrapped around everything, from the trees to the rocks, down to the very air he breathed. Had such energy existed on Earth or in Japan, Satoru would have undoubtedly known about it.
What solidified his conclusion was that this energy attempted to interact with him. It sought to permeate his body, perhaps to infuse him with its essence or even remove him from this place. Yet, Satoru's very existence resisted these feeble efforts.
"What's it trying to do?" he wondered aloud, observing with narrowed eyes as the energy attempted to penetrate his body, only to be unceremoniously pushed back.
His intuition told him that this was more than just a random phenomenon—it was a fundamental aspect of this new world.
This defense was not due to his activation of the Limitless Technique. The energy seemed powerless against him.
"Harmless... I guess that's settled," Satoru mused, dismissing the rather puzzling encounter with a characteristic wave of indifference, reserving it for further investigation in his own time. He had a feeling that understanding this foreign energy would be crucial in navigating this unfamiliar terrain.
"More importantly..." he murmured, ascending into the sky for a bird's-eye view of this new place. As he soared above the frozen forest, his keen eyes captured the intricacies of the world around him.
After a few moments, Satoru found himself hundreds of meters above the frozen forest, reaffirming his earlier belief that he had landed in a different world. The landscape below held a strange blend of the surreal and the fantastical.
Surveying the Frozen Forest below, he observed creatures that could only be described as fantastical by Earth's standards—man-eating plants and other exotic beings, all pulsating with varying degrees of the enigmatic energy.
Creatures that are fundamentally different from Cursed Spirits or Shikigami in their makeup.
However, amid the bizarre and fantastical, what truly took his breath away was the stunning scenery before him.
A sight that would eclipse the most pristine and untouched natural reserves on Earth, a view of unparalleled beauty. Each inhalation of the crisp, frigid air left behind a visible puff of vapor as he exhaled, a level of air purity that seemed beyond Earth's reach.
"Beautiful..." he murmured, marveling at the breathtaking surroundings. The sheer majesty of this place was unlike anything he had ever witnessed before, and it stirred emotions within him that he hadn't expected to feel in a place so foreign.
While Satoru had never considered himself a nature enthusiast, on top of not having traveled much, he couldn't deny the profound sense of awe that overwhelmed him in this newfound world.
It was a reminder that, even in the face of the unknown, there was still room for wonder and appreciation.
"The only thing missing," he mused, his tone laced with slight amusement, "would be something sweet to savor while taking in this view..."
After a minute of dumbfounded gazing, Satoru slapped himself out of it and refocused.
"Alright... What now?" he asked himself, stroking his chin in contemplation as he was floating hundreds of meters above ground.
Satoru's mind raced with a thousand thoughts per second during this period of contemplation. Questions flooded his mind.
How do I get back home?
When will I return?
What will they do without me?
All questions, came to a sudden halt as he had a simple realization.
A new world.
A world that didn't know of Gojo Satoru.
A world that didn't need Gojo Satoru, the Future Strongest Sorcerer.
A world without the corrupted Jujutsu Higher-Ups.
A world that perhaps does not require secrecy.
A world without those easily surpassed yet nagging expectations.
"Freedom..." Satoru couldn't help but acknowledge his situation.
With this realization, Gojo Satoru found a better description of his situation. His thoughts began to align differently, shifting from concern to curiosity.
This certainly isn't Tokyo, and it isn't true freedom either upon further introspection. But it is undeniably a...
"A Vacation~!" he announced with a cheerful tone.
He couldn't help but let a mischievous grin tug at the corners of his lips.
This was an adventure waiting to unfold, an opportunity to explore a world untouched by the boring politics and the nagging expectations of Jujutsu Society.
The prospect of not having to deal with the corrupted higher-ups or the weight of being the Future Strongest Sorcerer was surprisingly liberating. It was a break from the constant controlled chaos that had defined his life so far.
But amidst the excitement, he couldn't forget the people who had become important to him. Geto Suguru, Shoko Ieri, Principal Yaga, and the supportive members of the Gojo Clan—they had all played a part in teaching him what it meant to be... Human.
"Though it's a vacation, it's not a permanent escape," he admitted to himself, his tone more subdued. "I'll have to return eventually."
With this newfound mindset confirmed and locked in, Gojo Satoru set out to make the most of his unwarranted vacation.
And what better way to enjoy a proper long-term vacation than a completely new and foreign world to explore and discover?
Would it be a relaxing vacation?
Well...
