Chapter 13: 13.- The Strongest Alliance
Once Naobito saw that Megumi got into a fighting stance, he charged at him at full speed while using his cursed technique.
Megumi was aware that if the fight turned destructive, some members of the Zenin clan might notice and attack him, resulting in many casualties and the loss of the clan's entire infrastructure.
He didn't want that to happen, as his goal was to use the Zenin clan's resources and prestige for his own purposes. Therefore, he decided to go all out from the start to defeat Naobito and take over the clan without much commotion.
Everything happened in the blink of an eye.
[Rabbit Escape]
Megumi knew that Projection Sorcery could freeze anything that didn't move at 24 frames per second if its user touched it with their hand, so he decided to overwhelm Naobito with targets.
Surrounded by hundreds of rabbits from all directions, Naobito activated [Falling Blossom Emotion] and decided to cut through them with cursed energy reinforcement.
But this was exactly what Megumi had anticipated, as the rabbits were only meant to serve as obstacles or distractions. The real attack would come from the sword of his most powerful shikigami.
[Mahoraga]
Using the cover provided by the rabbits, Mahoraga was able to attack Naobito without fear of being frozen by [Projection Sorcery].
Slash.
In an instant, Naobito's torso was separated from his legs.
Thud!
A few seconds later, his body hit the ground with a thud.
Poof!
Seeing his fallen opponent, Megumi dispelled the summoning of both the rabbits and Mahoraga.
Determined to destroy the corpse so there would be no evidence of his deed, Megumi gathered a large amount of electricity in the palm of his hand and approached the fallen parts of Naobito's body.
Within seconds, he had already disintegrated the legs, and just as he was about to disintegrate the torso, Naobito surprised him by speaking.
"Who would have thought that you'd manage to tame it…? Honestly, I didn't count on that. If I'd known, I would've made you the leader right away," said Naobito with a raspy voice, keeping himself alive with the little cursed energy he had left.
"Meh, my plan was to turn you into my puppet until I came of age and most of my allies became part of the Zenin clan. Then I'd eliminate the remaining trash from the clan. That way, the other clans wouldn't be able to kick us out of the Big Three Clans under the excuse of weakness."
"You did well to fight me," replied Megumi.
"I see," were Naobito's last words before the light left his eyes.
"Naobito is dead. Now you will be the leader of the clan, Ougi. I hope you don't disappoint me," said Megumi as he disintegrated the rest of Naobito's body.
"You can count on me, Megumi-sama," said Ougi.
"Well… I'll be leaving for a few days. Your instructions are to report that Naobito left to hunt some cursed spirits today. Wait a few weeks, pretend to go rescue him, and then return with the news of his death," Megumi ordered before disappearing into the shadows.
—[Zenin Clan Complex: Megumi's Room]—
Maki and Mai were sitting on Megumi's bed, feeling a bit anxious about what he might be doing. Although they knew how strong Megumi was—having seen how he handled their father—they couldn't help but worry about him. Despite the short time they'd known each other, they had formed a strong bond; in fact, Megumi was the strongest bond they had.
Suddenly, the [Funeral Tiger] sitting at the foot of the bed melted into a puddle of shadows, startling Mai and Maki a little. However, they calmed down when they saw Megumi emerge from the puddle and immediately bombarded him with questions.
Seeing Maki and Mai asking him questions nonstop, cutting each other off, Megumi said, "Girls! Calm down, please. One question at a time."
"Okay," they responded in unison, feeling a little embarrassed.
"Great, who's first?" Megumi asked them.
After answering all their questions, the girls were able to relax a little. At first, they found it hard to believe that Megumi had defeated the Zenin clan leader and looked perfectly fine, but after thinking about it, they realized that if the rumors about the leader being almost as strong as their father were true, Megumi could have easily defeated him just as he had defeated their father.
After explaining everything to the girls and noticing their calmer expressions, Megumi decided to drop the bombshell he had been keeping to himself, "Oh… girls… pack your things, you're leaving this clan."
"YESSSSS!" Maki's shout echoed in the distance.
—[Gojo Satoru's Mansion]—
Upon arriving at Satoru's mansion, Megumi took a key from his [Shadow Inventory] and unlocked the door, letting Maki and Mai enter first.
Click
"Tsumiki, I'm back, and I brought guests!" Megumi's voice echoed throughout the house.
The next second, the sound of quick footsteps was heard, and Tsumiki Fushiguro ran through one of the doors and jumped to hug her brother.
"Megumi!" Tsumiki said as she clung to him like a koala.
"I'm glad to see you too, Tsumiki," Megumi smiled, genuinely happy to see her. Tsumiki had grown on him over the two years they lived together, and he had gotten used to her presence.
Her absence in the Zenin clan was undoubtedly strange to him; the same was true for Tsumiki, who had never been apart from Megumi for so long since she could remember.
"I know you missed me a lot, but it's rude not to greet our guests," Megumi said, turning his head toward Mai and Maki.
It was then that Tsumiki realized there were more people who had come with her brother. She was so happy to hear his voice that as soon as she did, she ran to the door without fully processing what he had said.
"Oh, excuse me," Tsumiki said to Mai and Maki, a bit embarrassed, as she got down from Megumi.
"My name is Tsumiki Fushiguro, I'm Megumi's older sister," Tsumiki said, bowing to the two girls.
"Nice to meet you, my name is Mai Zenin," Mai responded, mimicking Tsumiki's bow.
"Maki Zenin," Maki added, a bit curtly.
.
.
.
Breaking the awkward silence, Megumi decided to speak.
"Well… you'll have time to get to know each other better. After all, from now on, Mai and Maki will be staying with us, Tsumiki," Megumi said, putting his arms around the girls and pulling them closer.
"By the way… where's the old man?" Megumi asked his sister for Gojo's location as he released his embrace of the three girls.
"Since you left, he hasn't returned, though he left money and a full fridge, so I've been fine," Tsumiki answered casually. She was used to being independent due to their mother's abandonment, so she didn't see any problem living alone.
'That damn Gojo, no wonder Kenjaku managed to put Yorozu in Tsumiki in the canon, it's all that irresponsible man's fault,' Megumi thought, a vein bulging on his forehead.
Truth be told, the only reason Gojo had stayed in his mansion this whole time was because training Megumi was fun for him. In that sense, he was like a child with ADHD constantly seeking sources of entertainment, though, of course, this ADHD child had the power to destroy a country.
Sighing, Megumi said, "I'm going to call that idiot. How about you show our new guests to one of the vacant rooms so they can drop off their things? When you're done, you can get to know each other better."
"Okay, brother," Tsumiki replied with a smile. "Follow me, please," she said to the twins as she left the mansion's entryway.
—[A Call to Gojo Afterwards]—
"I really can't believe you took control of the Zenin clan so quickly. Didn't you say you'd enjoy the process?" a disbelieving Gojo said to Megumi as he took a sip from his cup of tea.
During the time they lived together, it had become a habit for them to drink tea and discuss matters in the living room of Gojo's mansion.
"Well… you were right, most of them are trash and they made me angry really fast," Megumi replied, sipping his own tea.
"What did I tell you! The strongest is always right!" Gojo responded, puffing out his chest and raising his nose.
"Yeah, yeah... whatever you say," Megumi dismissed Gojo's declaration. "Changing the subject, Tsumiki told me that as soon as I left, you disappeared, leaving her alone," Megumi put his cup of tea aside and stared at Gojo intently.
"Hehehe," Gojo laughed sheepishly while scratching his head. "You see… special grades have a lot of responsibilities..." Gojo started a speech to justify himself, but Megumi could see it was all nonsense.
"That's complete nonsense! I should have known how irresponsible you were when I met you," Megumi interrupted.
"I should've asked Shoko-san to take care of Tsumiki instead," Megumi lamented out loud.
'It feels weird being scolded by a six-year-old,' Gojo thought.
"Alright... I'm sorry, I'm not very good at this parenting thing, so I left her to take care of herself," Gojo apologized.
"But back to the main issue... what will you do about Naoya? That guy is currently in his third year at the Tokyo school. I don't think he'd want to leave the clan leadership to his uncle given how they say his ego is," Gojo asked Megumi.
"Don't think I don't know you're trying to change the subject," Megumi warned Gojo.
"Still, I'll answer. From Ougi and Jinichi's own mouths, I found out that Naoya has committed many abuses and murders within the clan. So naturally, I'll kill him. Do you have a problem with that?" Megumi asked.
"Not at all!" Gojo dismissed any concerns in the blink of an eye. "I just want to make sure he suffers a lot... after all, when I went to meet him with my parents, he made some rather... derogatory comments about my mother," Gojo's expression darkened at the end of his statement.
Seeing that their opinions aligned, Megumi and Gojo smiled and raised their cups.
"Excellent!" they said in unison, clinking their cups enthusiastically.
"Now... do you remember the alliance I told you about when we first met?" Megumi reminded Gojo of their initial encounter.
"Of course! Do you want to start that now?" Gojo said with a smile.
"Not yet. In a few weeks, at most a month, Naobito's death will be announced. That will be the moment we begin negotiations," Megumi replied.
"Ha! The Kamo clan will be in shock when they find out," Gojo laughed.
"Of course they will, those suicidal guys won't know what hit them," Megumi added, mocking the clan's main technique.
To be honest, Gojo was still a bit shocked by Megumi. Being able to talk about complex topics with a kid his age amused him a bit. Perhaps many people felt the same way about him when he was a child.
Nah, to be honest, Megumi went beyond what he was as a child. He wouldn't have taken himself seriously if he talked about topics like politics or business with his younger self, but he did take Megumi seriously when he spoke with him. It felt like talking to someone of a similar age, or even slightly older.
Besides that, Gojo had noticed that Megumi treated him differently from others.
Imagine for a moment that you are born as a god. From your first breath, you are worshipped, adored, feared. Mortals build altars in your name and offer their most precious treasures to gain your favor. You are surrounded by an aura of power and divinity, and to their eyes, you are the embodiment of the sublime.
But... there is something else in their gazes. Something that goes beyond pure devotion or fear. In their eyes, there is a spark of expectation, a shadow of demand. They do not see you only as a supreme being, but as a tool at their disposal, a means to their end.
Gojo had seen this in the eyes of the people around him.
They praised him, they respected him, and they feared him for his invincible power. But in the end, he was alone. Because there is something they don't tell you about being at the top: the loneliness.
Because the stronger you become, the more you drift away from others. Every victory, every display of your power builds an invisible wall between you and the rest of the world. Those who once walked beside you now only look up at you with a mix of admiration and distance.
But Megumi was different. He had seen the wall and decided he could overcome it. He didn't care about his power and treated him normally. He didn't expect him to solve his problems; he had solved his own and even went as far as to offer him something: "an alliance."
He didn't see him as a tool to use or a superhero to turn to. He saw him as the idiot he was, Satoru Gojo. In that sense, that little boy reminded him of Geto, who also treated him similarly.
That's why Gojo responded to Megumi with a smile and slightly misty eyes, "Of course! Those idiots will be completely terrified! After all... WE ARE THE STRONGEST."

A/N: Initially, my intention was to write this fic as something risqué because I wanted to create an OP character who would have intimate encounters with the girls from Jujutsu Kaisen. However, as I developed the story, I got more involved in the aspect of plot creation and ended up straying a bit from the original idea. I'd love to read your opinions: do you think I'm on the right track in terms of plot development, or do you think I'm failing?
Once this is clarified, I would like to delve deeper into Megumi's fight against Mahoraga, as some questions have arisen. Specifically, I want to explain in more detail the ultimate technique that Megumi used on that occasion.
The ultimate technique, [Poison Tempest], is a skill that combines the three elemental aspects Megumi can manifest through his shadow control: poison, electricity, and water. The result is a poisonous liquid with highly conductive electrical properties.
Electricity, which Megumi has not yet fully mastered externally, uses this liquid as a conductor to reach its targets. Thanks to this property, the technique can strike with devastating force, allowing electricity to flow precisely and effectively.
In terms of destructive power, [Poison Tempest] is comparable to techniques like [Divine Flame]/[Fuga] from Sukuna (this is possible because Megumi has immense amounts of cursed energy stored in his [Shadow Inventory]). The intensity of the generated electricity is so overwhelming that even the slightest contact can instantly carbonize the target, reducing it to ashes.
This technique demonstrates not only Megumi's versatility but also his ingenuity in maximizing the resources available to him, even when facing limitations in his elemental control.
