Chapter 401: Anton's Sword
Makarov was not surprised that a cow could speak human language, considering he had seen even more peculiar things. However, what shocked him was the intense sense of danger emanating from the cow.
Even he, as a "Sequence Five - Diver," felt threatened...
Makarov couldn't help but think it was unbelievable.
The first thought that jumped into his mind was that this cow was most likely a transformed Transcendent, or that beneath its harmless exterior lurked some kind of terrifying monster...
At that moment,
The passengers hiding behind the circus executives were in a state of panic, screaming continuously.
If it weren't for a monstrous-looking giant Fish Gills blocking the cabin corridor, they probably would have swarmed out already. Even though it was still pouring rain outside, and the entire ship was tossing in the storm, they wouldn't think too much about it.
While the storm was dangerous, it was not as frightening as the monster before them...
These gentlemen and ladies, already terrified by the sea storm, and subsequently attacked and pursued by various monstrous creatures, had even witnessed people dying in front of them.
Their hearts beat rapidly, almost bursting out of their chests.
"A cow that speaks human language..."
A noble lady turned pale, covering her mouth with a handkerchief, eyes wide.
All of this was too magical; even the others thought it might be a horrible nightmare, that they would be alright if they just woke up... Perhaps a slap to themselves would allow them to open their eyes to bright sunlight, and then they could head out and enjoy a wonderful breakfast in the grand dining hall.
Snap!
Indeed, one gentleman did just that, but the result was him crying out in pain.
"Ah!"
"Damn it! What in the world is happening?! Will I even make it ashore alive?"
"May the Sun bless, oh Father Above, please forgive my sins..."
"My Tadayah, I haven't even had a chance to see her yet, am I going to die here? I…I don't want… huhuhu…"
The gentlemen and ladies were in a sorry state, most of them losing control of their emotions, collapsing on the ground, with some even breaking down in tears.
The circus folks glanced at them but did not pay much attention.
Antonio slowly walked towards the giant Fish Gills. At first glance, those unaware might even pity this ignorant, poor cow... being led right to the monster, to become its next meal.
However, the cow's body underwent a bizarre transformation as it walked.
Its body suddenly expanded, growing to be four or five meters long and over two meters tall. Its muscles bulged visibly with its black and white spots becoming more distinct.
On its head sprouted two upward curving, spirally-twisted Bone Horns, resembling two lances. Its back rose high with each segment lined with Sharp Blade bones, extending all the way to the tail where the original cow tail ended with a cross-shaped spike! Its four hooves were also covered with bone, resembling four mallets!
Thump thump!
The metal floor of the cabin was easily indented by Antonio, leaving hoof prints.
"Huff Huff!"
Antonio's eyes reddened, and he exhaled two long streams of white vapor through his nostrils.
Bang!
Suddenly, he disappeared from the spot.
The metal sheet below exploded into a large hole!
Metal fragments ricocheted inside the cabin, producing a ping-pang sound, causing the passengers to scream.
Then, in the next second, Makarov felt a severe pain in his chest!
Then a tremendous force nearly flipped him over!
Boom!!
Several dull thuds followed.
Makarov's massive Fish Gills body was rammed out of the cabin corridor and slammed into the passageway. The two sharp Bone Horns pierced through his chest and embedded in the iron wall.
"Hehe…"
Bluish-green stinky blood sprayed as Makarov sneered, revealing his densely packed sharp teeth. His neck gills quivered, spraying seawater; he then forcefully lifted his powerful webbed claws, fiercely grabbing the Bone Horns that had pierced his chest.
Creak creak...
Makarov tried to push Antonio away but found the cow's strength overwhelming, unable to shake it in the slightest.
Antonio huffed again, exhaling more white vapor.
"Said I would kill you, so I will kill you…"
He suddenly stepped back, then fiercely swung his head, like a drug-fueled maniac in a dance hall, his Bone Horns tightly skewering Makarov's body, swinging it around like a rag doll.
Thump thump thump!
In the narrow corridor, the violent impacts produced a succession of loud bangs.
The floor, walls, and metal railings were all dented and deformed by the blows.
Makarov spat blood fiercely; he turned ferocious, using his webbed claws to frantically tear at the cow's body, trying to shred it.
But the wounds Antonio suffered closed almost instantly, his Self-healing Ability terrifyingly efficient. Also, the Sharp Blade bones on his back scratched Makarov's webbed claws during the movement.
Bang!
Another powerful swing, and the giant Fish Gills smashed onto the ground.
Antonio stomped hard on the spot, leapt up, and with his head down, smashed hard onto Makarov's body.
Clang!
The metal floor was completely smashed through!
Antonio's Bone Horns pierced through the giant Fish Gills, hammering him into the cabin below.
Clang!!
Just after landing, another loud bang occurred.
The floor was punctured once again.
The Fish Gills and the cow fell straight into the lower storeroom area.
"You damned monster..."
