I've Already Confronted the Five Kage, and the System Just Arrived!

Chapter 308: Chapter 309

"How is this possible?!"

Mifune lay on the ground, unable to resist. His eyes were filled with shock as he tried to turn and glance behind him but found his body completely immobile.

Behind him, Gensou emerged from the ground, ignoring Mifune entirely.

Surveying the numerous ninjas around him, he remarked calmly,

"This is getting interesting."

Compared to the initial disorganized rabble that had been hastily assembled, the current group of ninjas had improved significantly. They were finally able to display some semblance of the true strength of a ten-thousand-strong alliance.

"Because of their commander?"

Gensou scanned his surroundings carefully, his Rinnegan sensing the battlefield with precision.

Meanwhile, Shikaku Nara, upon seeing Mifune fall, was taken aback.

Using the vision of those on the battlefield, he observed the area where Gensou had stood, noticing a puff of white smoke.

"He used a shadow clone to draw attention and then tunneled underground with Earth Release to strike Mifune from behind… all in an instant. Moreover, none of our sensors detected him. Gensou's mastery over Earth Release and chakra control is simply astounding."

Facing such a terrifying opponent, Shikaku felt immense pressure.

Before he could issue another command, Gensou's gaze locked onto him, and he spoke:

"The Mind Transfer Technique… To so effectively command this many ninjas in such a short time, you must be the current head of the Nara clan."

He's noticed me?!

Shikaku's heart raced. Without hesitation, he moved out of Gensou's line of sight, denying him any opportunities.

Gensou, however, didn't pursue him.

His gaze turned toward the distant Allied Headquarters.

"In war, destroying the enemy's command center is common sense, isn't it?" he muttered to himself.

While he didn't care about the ordinary ninjas, he acknowledged that someone capable of organizing these disjointed forces into an effective unit could pose a challenge to his plans—just as it was happening now.

"Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu!"

"Raiton: Rairyū!"

Hundreds of Mist and Cloud ninjas simultaneously formed hand seals, unleashing massive water dragons crackling with lightning that surged toward Gensou.

Ignoring the impressive display of combined ninjutsu, Gensou's Rinnegan clearly detected the minute grains of sand and numerous explosive tags hidden within the water dragons.

His gaze shifted momentarily to a group of Sand ninjas pressing their hands to the ground, and he immediately understood Shikaku's plan.

If he absorbed the entire attack with the Preta Path, the sand and explosive tags would accumulate around him, resulting in a massive detonation that even his Steel Release wouldn't entirely shield him from.

If he stopped absorbing midway, he would instead face relentless waves of electrified water, which would leave him paralyzed for a prolonged period.

An excellent strategy.

But…

Why let the ninjutsu reach me in the first place?

"Shinra Tensei!"

With a single motion, Gensou unleashed a powerful repulsive force, instantly dispersing the combined attack.

"Five seconds!"

Aware of the five-second interval between uses of Shinra Tensei, Shikaku immediately commanded a new wave of ninjas to launch another combined attack.

This time, however, Gensou didn't give them a chance.

"Yōton: Shakugaryūgan no Jutsu!"

Clapping his hands together, Gensou summoned massive balls of molten lava, which rained down like meteors toward the second interception force.

The ninjas, just about to carry out Shikaku's plan, panicked at the sight of the incoming lava and instinctively scattered.

Shikaku's carefully orchestrated attack rhythm was effortlessly disrupted.

"This is as far as we go…"

Watching Gensou casually unleash what could only be described as a calamity-level jutsu, Shikaku sighed deeply.

When the disparity in strength was this great, strategy could only do so much.

All he could do now was continue to deplete Gensou's chakra and buy time for Tsunade and the others to arrive.

On paper, the Allied Ninja Force was incredibly powerful, with nearly all available ninjas deployed aside from those guarding the villages and daimyō.

If they had truly unleashed their full strength, Gensou wouldn't have had such an easy time.

But as Gensou had pointed out, the ninja alliance was a chaotic and uncoordinated force.

While their numbers were vast, their teamwork was poor. Their initial morale, while high, couldn't be sustained—humans weren't machines, and constant casualties inevitably led to collapse.

Furthermore, Gensou was only one man. The only ninjas who could engage him were those nearby, not the entire ten-thousand-strong force.

Even with Shikaku's guidance, all he could achieve was a fraction of their potential strength.

Without someone like Naruto to use his talk-no-jutsu and Nine-Tails chakra to boost morale, the ninja alliance's spirit was bound to waver and eventually break.

Aware of this, Gensou had chosen from the start to confront the alliance alone. His goal was to crush the majority of their will to fight, preventing them from disrupting his plans later.

Now, even with minor setbacks, things were proceeding exactly as he had anticipated.

Seeing the alliance regain some composure under Shikaku's direction, Gensou decided not to waste time adding further pressure.

Instead, he returned to his original objective.

Fixing his gaze on the Allied Headquarters, Gensou raised his right hand, gathering a massive amount of chakra. A white, arrow-shaped transparent barrier began to form, its energy steadily intensifying.

"Stop him!"

Realizing what Gensou was preparing, Shikaku immediately issued orders.

The remaining ninjas rushed forward, using every technique at their disposal to stop Gensou.

But Gensou didn't give them the chance to play hero.

The familiar force of Shinra Tensei surged outward, clearing everything behind him.

With the battlefield emptied, Gensou aimed the arrow-shaped barrier in the direction of the Allied Headquarters.

The next moment…

A dazzling white light erupted!

The arrow shot into the sky, streaking across the horizon and heading straight for the Allied Headquarters.

Shikaku raised his head, watching as the arrow disappeared from view, leaving behind a long, translucent white trail in the sky that lingered for what felt like an eternity.

That direction is…

No!!!

Back at the Allied Headquarters, Shikaku's eyes snapped open, his pupils contracting in shock.
