Everyone including me had just finished the affinity assessment and were sitting around the room, thinking about what we have just learned about ourselves.

Some of the things that we learned through these experiences showed how we possessed various abilities, how we always possessed some powers, and how we could improve in the areas that we were not aware of.

In the case of Carla, she now knew she had the affinity for elemental handling, something she had not been certain about even though she could use the swords with various element's powers.

She could not have an elemental spirit or perhaps even if she does, she might not find a suitable one anytime soon, but still, she now knows a new thing about herself… She also found out she could become a good writer if she wanted, but she ignored that.

'Same for Alf… he was just finding out that he had affinity for not only magic and true magic, but also for Natural magic, Aether– the unique energy that the headmaster uses– and also for the highly complex magic formulas that were divided into One to Nine stars.'

These kinds of spells, different from the usual magic that people use, were very difficult to cast and usually needed various materials and mediums or catalysts for the process.

'Eon had cast one of the highest ranking Star spells when he brought the soul of Miss Moon's father back for a moment.'

It was a kind of spell that needed very complex calculations, some of the very rare materials as well as something that one cannot get even if they had all the resources in the world– a natural affinity for these spells.

'Even Eon did not have as much affinity for this kind of magic as Alf did, so now Eon was thinking of shifting his focus when he trains Alf next time.'

Chry was also more proficient with other kinds of weapons that weren't just rapiers, he even had an affinity for lightning elements.

'We were thinking of getting him a spirit partner so that he can do better, however, that will take time since Eon wanted to first build up his affinity for spirits.'

Quin was already aware of her Null element affinity, but through this test, we also found out that she possessed affinity for handling large scale elemental areas– she could do things that Eon's grandma could with her blessing's powers, and along with that, she also had affinity for politics and business.

'She already wanted to take over her grandpa's businesses so it's good for her.'

That aside, since she was here, Eon was thinking about first helping her hatch her familiar… the Ocenoid that she had summoned during her familiar summoning was still in its egg form so since they had proper facilities here, he was going to help her meet her familiar first. '

'President Zodiac and Del also found out some new things about themselves… things like how the president was not completely human, or how he possessed an affinity for handling demonic corruption.'

Everyone knew about Del's unique origin now. After what happened during the Lifeblood creation on that island, she was also aware that she could not hide her secret from them anymore.

Her ability to go into the astral form came from her minor bloodline while her ability to control the curse that was planted inside of her came from her vampiric abilities.

She was unique, so her familiar, Mirror, was also a unique being that was of a unique bloodline.

But that is that. I'm not going to think much about these things and concern myself with things that I simply do not want to get involved in.

The list of affinities for Anna was the longest and it made Eon even more worried than he already was.

There must be a lot of questions on everyone's mind including Anna's after seeing what she was capable of. She must be wondering why everyone was so worried or why her powers were so special.

'She is going to become famous and we cannot stop that from happening. Just like that, I cannot stop my eyes from seeing what they are supposed to see.'

The truth, divided by many definitions but united with one singular principle, as I can understand now, is interpreted by my eyes in three forms: Strings connecting people, particles of matter filling the surroundings, and lights that surround certain objects.

'When I first started seeing these weird things, I found it fascinating and fun. Now however, it's a headache.'

Not only do I see things that are not actually there, I can see the world in a way that the others could see as well.

In one side of my head, I see things that one normally would while on the other side, things that don't usually make sense, things that I could see but cannot understand constantly play before me.

It sometimes confuses me whether they are there or not. Ever since I came here, to this tower, that weird feeling had increased several folds. To make things worse, the time here flows weirdly and when I try to take my head away from the weird things that I see, I am reminded of the weirdly different flow of time that I am feeling.

"Haaa…"

I want to sleep, I want to rest, I wanted to just rest with my darling tonight since we have been going through weird shit since a few weeks ago, but now, it doesn't seem like even that is going to be possible.

Branwen has been cheering me up since a while ago. Seeing the unique results and affinities that I had never been familiar with on that artefact had made things even worse.

"Rein?" I had been feeling down, sitting in a corner with a certain purple fluid that seemed to be dancing by itself when I heard Eon's voice from behind.

"..."

When I turned around though, instead of looking at me, he was looking at the fluid that had been doing cute things beside me.

"Are you… alright?"

He stepped forward, holding me by my shoulder and taking me away from the fluid. Then, he glanced at the fluid once more, and looked back at me.

"You do realise that thing is toxic, right?"

"Hmm? Yes?"

I mean, while it may look all cute and attractive, it's fun seeing it all excited when I was talking with it. It almost seemed alive to me, even though it was not. Or was it…?

"Rein…"

He looked extremely worried right now. He could tell I was not fine, but more than that, I can tell he could tell I was not feeling comfortable right now.

"How about we go out of here? Zoe will look after the rest of them…"

He still seemed worried about the matters related to Anna but it seems like he could not see me so pathetic like this.

"I'm fine, you know?"

Sure I was talking with a pot of venom, but, it was still better than just being by myself.

I felt a little comfortable. Though, now that he is here…

"Of course you can take care of yourself. I don't doubt that."

The idea of getting out of this tower and having some fresh air seemed much better than any thought that had crossed my mind since earlier.

"Should we go now? Or… do you wanna say goodbye to the new friend you made?"

"Eon…" there was a look of subtle anger in my eyes as I looked at him.

"I mean, you were talking with it and it was resonating with your words, you know? It's not normal…"

He was being sarcastic right now. Even though it seemed like he was being serious, I can tell he was trying to lighten up the mood.

"Let's just go."

But there was no need to do that.

I was fine and I know I'm much better than him at least. He needs fresh air more than me anyway!
